I find it interesting how “odd one out” Amir is amongst the original protoframes

Amir’s the only one who isn’t a soldier / was involved in war in any way

Amir’s the only one who was never involved in fighting / investigating the techrot

To my knowledge, Amir’s the only one who took the serum alone

Amir seems to be the only one who lost control during his mutation to a point of killing several people and hurting Arthur

Amir’s the only one who worked at the reactor

And as a result Amir’s the only one who would’ve had access to the codes for it

Amir’s the only one who only had contact with Entrati anonymously

As far as I can tell, he’s the only one who was actively being chased by Scaldra and I still don’t know why considering he would’ve been a civie and wasn’t infected with techrot so Nix this one, twas cleared up in the comments

By all accounts, Amir is the catalyst that led to the reactor situation and subsequently the deaths of the Hex, as he’s the one who gave Entrati the codes needed for it

And he is one of two people that Entrati murdered personally in ‘The Hex’ quest, the second person being the Drifter.

Please correct me (or add anything if I missed stuff) cause I am most definitely not an expert. I made this list mostly on what I interpreted through kim chats and playing ‘The Hex’ a few times

Roathe and Ancient Egypt

I guess that now I have a brainroathe, so let's go.

This is his model that was just recently dropped on AS by Bento Ribeiro

The more we see of him, the more obvious it becomes - how little Roathe actually has in common with his "original" frame. Uriel is the depiction of the Devil, no doubt about that.

Roathe, on the other hand...

Since the very first reveal, I was thinking - where did I see the same thing as his hair? And now it's just clicked.

It's ancient Egyptian beaded dress, which is by now more than 4500 years old. The pattern is not entirely unique, sure, but this is at least one of - or even the oldest - of the extant items with this precise pattern.

Next, let's look at his crown.

Nowadays we see a lot of adaptation of classic Egyptian designs. This one to me looks like it's based on depiction of Egyptian winged gods and goddesses. Goddesses Hathor and Ma'at in particular.

The curve, the metal-filled part of the filigree, which reminds me of usekh as well as winged scarab pendants, which were created from gemstones, carefully aligned between each other like a mosaic.

But since here we have Orokin fashion with their usual thin arches - obviously, stuff that's filled with pieces of gems is not this fashionable anymore.

So, what if we add a solar disc to his crown, like this?

You may say it kinda looks like a Narmer lens. Well, where do you think THAT came from? 😁

Besides, the "horns" of his crown are not diabolical. It's rather a depiction of cow horns, which links him to Hathor, who played a lot of roles in Egyptian religion.

Let's turn to Ma'at now.

Ma'at is the Ancient Egyptian understanding of order, but a goddess as well. She is very important in the procedure of weighting the hearts of mortals, aligning their deeds with the list of "42 sins", often named the “Ideals of Ma’at” or the “Negative Confessions.”

And if the mortal's heart is heavier than her feather - they will never be forgiven, their heart would be eaten momentarily, and they are seized to exist...

And now let's remember which question Albrecht, for some unimaginable reason, asked to Roathe?

Another minor thing: Roathe also wears a loincloth (and puts a lot of trust in it too). A loincloth is a part of typical Pharaoh clothes, depicted multiple times. And the Pharaoh was, in turn, the enforcer of Ma'at - the order - on the mortal plane.

The last, but not the least: these things on his hand really remind me of the ancient Egyptian depiction of a lotus.

Lotus is very important, as we all know, but not only in Warframe - in Egyptian culture as well.

The Orokin fashion and culture in general seems to heavily lean towards ancient Egypt of the Ptolemaic period, sprinkled with the Roman Empire. We all remember Ballas's fancy golden lorica musculata from the Old Peace trailer, right? 😉

Not to mention that the Ancient Egyptians were, in fact, into golden fake nails.

And Roathe also has his pointy ears, how adorable, just look at it, little, pointy and pink, all that I love...

I still have discontent with his voice, but the design, oh, the design...

just had a thought while rewatching the uriel awakening sequence in the old peace. the initial movements once the tenno controls uriel are jerky, which lends to the demonic aesthetics etc, but I have some thoughts

one, it takes time and effort to control / inhabit a warframe. I like to think this is parallel to the mastery system. but when first using a warframe the tenno is probably going to struggle to adjust to it, which is something we see in these first motions by uriel.

two, the tenno is actively fighting uriel for control. a demon possessing a demon etc. if the original uriel is as evil and demonic as they say then it makes sense it would be difficult to negotiate with. its also like - why chain up an empty warframe ? I understand that the display of its containment is meant to be more symbolic than anything, but I'm inclined to think there is something inside that needs to be chained up like that. a tenno, or a demon, or something else. its the same concept of locking up a cursed object, and that cursed object being portrayed as having a sort of sentience. when you enter uriel you are encountering this sentience, causing the rough start.

three, warframe behaviors are inherent. I'm fairly sure this has already been confirmed ? you may be using a warframe but it still has is its own personality and mannerisms and beliefs, often reflective of the original or whatever version you are using. this is something the tenno can control but it isn't always easy. tenno become one with their warframe, which means both sides are cooperating, so the warframes themselves do have a level of sentience to provide that input. that means these movements are more or less hard coded into uriel.

combine all three and I think there's a lot of interesting things to consider. idk if this makes sense (its 5 am and I'm tired oops) but I tried

While I know that The Hunra is obviously Adis, I'm gonna make up arguments against it to cope ty.

So Adis got extremely damaged after our fight with him, and The Hunra's body doesn't exactly seem healed at all? However the face structure is very different, the "nose" is different, while there's an arch above The Hunra's head it's placement doesn't really add up with Adis's arch, it seems to be spaced further apart.

If he can't heal himself then how did his head change, and if he can heal himself why didn't he heal his whole body?

His arms also changed, they are now humanoid / imitate bones while before this they were just lines ending in? two fingers?. Very sentient like, and I don't understand why he would choose to look more human despite i assume hating humans for what they did to tau.

From what I understand there's some poisonous rain falling on Tau, and on the old battlefield this leads to sentients and warframes coming back to life, and maybe this rain changing his face and arms, however we didn't see any proof of this, and why didn't the rest of this body also change?

There are also some dialogue choices like The Hunra saying: "The chittering hivelings say I traded my heart to the Devil for power. No. There was no 'trade'. I tore it out and burned it. That is what I do to liars."

Which if he remembers the Tenno 'taking his light' (thanks wally) doesn't really makes sense? Why wouldn't he want to turn the sentients against the Tenno even more? "I could have healed all of you but alas the Tenno...". To be fair he could just. Not want to share this tragic backstory with all and that's fair enough.

Now there are also just some misdirection from the TennoCon teaser where Adis dropped his mask while Brysco was putting on his hat that looked like a mask, but in the demo the whole. Adis opens his eyes and we zoooooom right in to The Hunra feels a lot more direct and obvious. But there was a connection drawn between Adis and Brysco, and Brysco's face kinda could look like Adis's if we add the whole. warframe chimera thing into it, which would lead to some infested growths on his body / most of his body.

Now the cope is:

Remember how the Old Peace ended with us asking Valdur to bury Adis, and him saying that he is supposed to take him back to Tauron Academy? Why does he have to do that, what use does Tauron have for Adis's corpse?

I think it could be possible that his corpse was used for continuity / some similar process, to make hiding on Tau possible for one of the Orokin. That would explain why the arms look human now, if they are made out of energy The Hunra could want to imitate his original body. They could also have want to use a new face and? tore one down from another sentient or something? (This is a reach, idk whats up with the face tbh)

However! if the face is not with The Hunra, then it could be with Brysco! Brysco could have been made out of the remains of Adis as well, so when he's looking at the remains of Adis's body it could have triggered a memory.

Now one question left (that I'm able to answer and there's a hundred that I can't, again I'm arguing against the obvious here) who is The Hunra?

Executor Tormis! You might also know him is:

The executor on the card that's facing us on the promo picture. The first executor on Tau, and one of The Seven who we do not know the fate of.

"Out Tormis went and back Tormis came, carrying wondrous bejewelled memories of a new System and new worlds to settle."

His only mention and his relationship with Tau uses the world "bejewelled" invoking riches that The Hunra very clearly has.

So it could be possible that we go to Tau and fight The Hunra, who is taunting is with Adis's body and presumed memories just for our dear friend Brysco to reveal that actually he is the "heart" that The Hunra "torn out and burned" and obviously bc of Wally's whole. thing. it would still be extremely awkward but at least we wouldn't be killing Adis again.

been thinking a lot about devilframe, uriel. and just like, the implications of the name?

(take all of these ramblings with a grain of salt, i am by no means an expert on religious stuff. feel free to correct me if i'm wrong)

uriel translates to ‘god is my light’ and ‘fire/flame of god’. the interpretations of him vary, but i've found that he is sometimes an archangel, mostly just an angel; usually of wisdom, truth, salvation, and repentance. he is usually depicted with a flaming sword, standing guard over eden. others have him presiding over hell judging souls with no pity. interestingly enough, apparently there are some legends that replace lucifer with uriel in tempting mankind.

in the devil’s triad teaser, albercht called him ‘heretic of xata’ which translates to ‘heretic of truth’.

and the warframe website also has this to say about him:

A devilish Warframe rises from the flames of perdition. Condemned to torment, his return begs of the Origin System questions of forgiveness and redemption.

perdition is a state of eternal damnation. what the hell did this guy do to be banished to eternal torment and suffering?

if we go more in the direction of him replacing lucifer in the role of temptation: did uriel help in sparking the flames of rebellion against the orokin? 'tempting' others with 'lies', going against the orokin's 'truth', leading to his subsequent banishment and label of 'heretic of xata'? is that why in the key art he's front and center with the banner?

or even just going with the fact that uriel is an angel associated with wisdom and truth, that he goes against the orokin's doctrine in search of further knowledge.

and then there's the whole thing with being associated with the protoframes... marie's little flavor text doesn't hold much but lyon's? from the warframe website once again:

Father Lyon Allard (Harrow) Recognizable by his righteous thurible, Father Lyon is visited by both terrible evil and visions of a future that needs him.

there's another thing about uriel i haven't touched on much. uriel has many alias', but one that caught my eye was 'patron of prophecy'. multiple sources have uriel be the one to deliver messages, and father lyon here is having visions... despite demonic appearances maybe uriel is there to guide the two protoframes. somehow. i don't know he looked pretty feral in the teaser.

please tell me i'm not insane and looking too much into this

DAE think that Kalymos is a little too "sagacious"? + some theories about Albrecht's behavior

I'm as much a cat person as Albrecht the rest of us, and I know for a fact that a cat can be smarter than me. I lived it.

But isn't she a little too smart for a cat, even for a Kavat? A little too evolved?

What we know by now:

She almost never leaves Albrecht's side. She was even in the room with him when he took his bad trip to the Void. She even tried warning him that something was wrong, he just got it too late (ha!)

We know of exactly one instance where she is without him: it's her leading us to poor Arthur's Kinepage. She's all alone and seems to know perfectly well where she's going. And Albrecht may either be completely unaware of this incident, or know exactly what is happening.

She wakes Arthur up in the metro (Whispers in the Walls) on her own. But then seems unable to do anything else besides just sitting and watching, by which point "Albrecht" has arrived already.

We can also remember Loid telling us that Kalymos must have been long dead by now and that Albrecht has likely cloned her unbeknownst to the family. We don't know when exactly it has happened, though.

The name of the Kalymos Sequence.

By the time Albrecht takes the one-way trip to 1999, he is well aware of the fact that his consciousness is slowly but surely getting eaten away by Wally (just like his labs are).

We even have a way to measure it: his voice records.

The Requiem diaries in Necralisk. Clear, well-thought-out speech full of metaphors, with a cadence of someone used to giving speeches (you know, like an experienced speaker, lector, etc).

You can hear that some sentences are left hanging which is usually a trait of autistic-coded characters (i.e. Spencer Reed). But other than that he's well-spoken and knows his rhetorical devices.

Whispers in the Walls. Namely, the Pom records and the Grimoire page. He's already staggering here, in places where he shouldn't. The intonation changes it places where it shoudn't. Not normally. And you can hear some vowels starting to stretch where they weren't before. And his voice starts dropping where it didn't before.

"Arthur? Tenno? ... Hmm. Forgive me. I... need... Loid... to- understand why I had to leave. Without... him."

It's already noticeably hard for him to speak. Like he's fighting something at every step. It sounds like either he was piecing it together from several attempts, or like it was read by different individuals.

Albrecht's Notes in the Sanctum are a bit lighter case of the above. The speech is still rich, but the fight has already started.

And then the City Wide Metro Voicemail. By this point, nothing remains of the Albrecht who was dictating the Requiem notes. The voice is coarse, rough, slow. Every word comes with a push, almost like a mockery of what was before. He's hammering it in, without regard to intonation, punctuation and sometimes meaning. The wording becomes quite peculiar, too.

What do you think about my failsafe against this old, dead end experiment? I do not have time to care who you are or why you stumbled into this unsavory business? Your reality? Your species? This is already so different from what we've heard before that I would never say this is the same person. More like stranded, estranged twins.

And then, obviously, the infamous You Are Late which sounds exactly the same as the above.

...However, the law of conservation tells us that nothing can disappear without a trace. So if Albrecht's body is occupied by Wally, – where is Albrecht?

What if he did have a failsafe?

Just, as he himself said, "let it parody them [animals]"? He would never put Kalymos in harm's way, that's true. He mentions it in the same note.

But she was supposed to be dead at least at one point. What if back then he made a last-ditch effort to protect both their consciousnesses and souls by forming this union, not unlike Transference which he was so fascinated with?

What if it was him waking Arthur up, leading us to connecting with him, and eventually assisting us in joining forces to trap Wally and bring him down?

What if the point of the Kalymos Sequence is that the missing piece of Albrecht is now Kalymos?
