What else was she supposed to say? “Why can’t that stubborn ass just believe me?” she said so softly that no one was able to hear her. “It must be a family trait; being stubborn,” Ana said eventually, so that Erik could hear her again. “You know that she will never believe me right? And that she will probably never like it that we will do stuff as friends. Does that mean that we will never going to do fun stuff like sneaking out and going to a game? Because that will probably be the case.”

“So you expected to me to choose going to one fun thing with you over my entire relationship,” Erik replied, frowning. How could Ana have hoped for that? He wasn’t going to risk Leia being upset and angry with him for the Quidditch game. “Yes, she can be stubborn, but she’s also very worried. And maybe she won’t ever like you but as time goes on hopefully she will see that nothing happens when the two of us spend time together and that I won’t suddenly want to be with you instead. This damn kiss literally just happened not too long ago so you need to give it some fucking time, okay?”

“I’m sorry it felt that way to you, but that’s still not what happened. What did you expect me to do, tell her that I was going with you anyway? When she is a hundred percent convinced you want to steal her boyfriend? She literally thinks that I want to have sex with you and that you might send me half-naked pictures, that all you want is to break us up. And I know that’s not true, but how can she be so sure that it’s not what you’re doing, after you kissed me?” Erik took a few steps backwards. “I hurt her by not inviting her first. And I don’t want to hurt her any more.”

“I didn’t think of that when I invited you. And I told you I would talk to Leia about it. Which I did.” Erik rolled his eyes. “I did not choose her over you. I simply chose not to go to one stupid Quidditch game over hurting my girlfriend’s feelings. I didn’t fucking pick anyone. If I really chose her over you as a friend, I wouldn’t be talking to you anymore. I would stop hanging out with you to make Leia happy. I would not defend you to her when she calls you a slut. I wouldn’t be getting into fights with her about you. But oh right, I’m choosing her over you because I had to take back one single game invitation."

You should know by now that is often my first reaction.” Ana said to Erik, while she stayed on the other side of the room. “And I expected you to at least try and understand how I think about this, I guess we both got disappointed there.” Okay, this was not the way this was supposed to happen.

“Still shouldn’t have been pissed at me.” Erik sighed, glaring at her when she turned his words around at him. “I didn’t decide this. I didn’t force you to kiss me. I really did want to go to that Quidditch game, but what did you think Leia was going to say?”

Ana followed Erik inside and she closed the door behind her. At least no one would know what they were fighting about. “I’m here to explain to you how I’m thinking. After that you can judge me all you want, but I need you to understand that. I’m not mad at you… I’m just disappointed and sad that this is happening, okay.”

“It didn’t sound like you weren’t mad earlier,” Erik replied and looked at her. “Fine, you can say what you want, but I seriously expected you to understand this better.”

“Hey,” was the only thing Ana said. She crossed her arms as well, while she looked up at him. He was way too tall. “Can you at least let me in before we talk?”

Erik sighed as he turned around and walked back into his cabin, leaving the door open behind him so Ana could follow. Of course she had to talk to him inside.

Ana had already expected that Erik would be at his cabin. She had been waiting around the corner of the Gloria boys cabin until she had a reply. When she had a confirmation, she walked up to the door and knocked on it, waiting for it to open.

When he heard the knock on his door, Erik quickly got up to open it, expecting no one but Ana. At least this time she wasn’t ignoring him for days. “Hey,” he said, leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed over at his chest. “What do you want to say?”

Erik: But you did kiss me. And now you got to deal with the consequences that she doesn't trust you around me alone.

Erik: She doesn't have to accept your apology. If Cal or some other guy kissed her, I wouldn't want them going to a Quidditch game with her either.

Erik: You are in no position to be mad at me seeing that you nearly ruined my relationship.
