So one of the features of the new post editor they're working on is a setting where you can make it so people can't reblog a post from you and I think that's beautiful. They also have it so you can just highlight a paragraph and make it small text instead of having to html it, which I really like bc im lazy.

Like this feature is awesome bc if you mention someone in the post THEY can reblog it but no one else can, and I've been having issues in the past of people reblogging my meme responses and stuff so that'll be nice.

Okay so I def think I’ll do a revamp, but like life would have it, I got my IUD replaced yesterday so im in pain AND I have a massive head cold bc my body can’t just have one thing at a time so I think imma just go lay down

I thiiiiiink I’m going to do a revamp of this blog. I have a buuuunch of mutuals and not a long list of people im interacting with and that’s always a weird feeling lmao. SO I’m going to work on that, I’m only going to be following first if we’re currently interacting or have interacted a decent amount in the past. ((I know I’ve been slow/not around, which is also probably why things feel off, but this way I’ll know for sure if people want to interact with me when they follow the new blog!))

I will shoot a message out to new followers as they filter in if we’re not interacting at the moment.

Y’all would not believe the lightning/thunderstorm happening rn. It literally looks like someone is outside my house with a strobe light. The thunder is just constant. It would be super neat if I didn’t have to be up in 5 hours- I’ve never seen anything like this before.

She couldn’t quite put rational behind anything she did anymore, just following the beat of what she liked to believe was still her heart. The antics, the idea that she was just going to SIMPLY exist forever was somewhat draining, something she still couldn’t continue to wrap her head around. That was the problem with her, the idea that no matter how long she existed, she was still running away from something and her own self. Simply, she was a perpetual Peter Pan in the vampire world, a girl that never wanted to grow up or to see what ACTUALLY would happen next.

But that still didn’t mean she didn’t have her bad days, the ones she couldn’t just ignore when they came up. Even now she felt a sense of burden, like speaking how she felt was only going to kill the buzz in the room for everyone else. Eyes looked over to him as he spoke, a small smile pulling onto her lips. “Frozen in time like an eternal FUCKING margarita,” she breathed in. “I dunno. It’s hard for me to separate good and bad. After all this time, it starts to feel like its the same, you know? Like maybe I’ve never been good, I’ve just been NEUTRAL.”

“A frozen fucking margarita.” Jess breathed out in a subtle laugh as he shook his head. “You got a way with words, you know that?” No, this eternally existing thing wasn’t what he’d wanted. If he was honest though, he’d never really known what that was. Nothing in his human life had ever felt like home. There had never been that moment of ‘yeah, this is my life, and I’m glad to have it.’ Maybe that’s what he had eternity to find. Jess was still hoping that it existed, as naïve as that might come off to others. 

“Neutrals not so BAD, though.” Jess replied, and though there was honesty in how he felt in his words, there’s a hint of teasing in his tone. “Right?” Jess had never really strived to be good.. just... not bad. Not the thing so many people had thought he was based on hollow first impressions and surprisingly believable rumors.

Hayley chuckled, “I know it’s a small town but surely there’s something you could get up to.” The brunette tried to tell him as she went on. “Still, you can stay then. I could always use some company. Thanks again for dinner.” She admitted to him before starting on yet another fry. “So how’s school going? Any better?”

“If you want me to go, just say it.” Jess teased, as his eyebrows rose. Jess relaxed his shoulders, and bit his lip. School. His eyes drifted at the subject before he answered her. “I go…. Enough.” Truthfully, he was unaware of just how bad his attendance had gotten. What did it matter if he missed a few days here and there?

Jessica had never really put much thought into what her death would be like. Once she’d survived her father and the trauma that he’d left her with, she’d thrown herself into enjoying the life she’d found herself in. The world had been filled with so much good but now it was just quiet. Still and dark in a way that she couldn’t have anticipated. She wasn’t afraid, just… peaceful. 

The next thing she came to register was the press of the Earth around her. Panic began to fill her veins as she started wriggling free of the loosened dirt around her, fingers becoming claws viciously slashing through the dirt as she whimpered softly. As she worked to free herself memories of the night prior (or at least she assumed it was last night) began to flood her mind. Fuck. She’d died. She was dead. 

It was that thought that propelled her into the night air, a sputtering gasp clearing the dirt from her mouth while her fingers worked to wipe her face. Bloodied tears smearing and mixing with the dirt left on her cheeks as she searched the too bright world for the man who’d taken her life. “What the fuck?!” Was her initial response as he tried to sooth her, the rasp in her voice stalling her some. She shook her head some, Earth tumbling from the copper curls, “Why the fuck did I get picked?!”

Jess collapsed himself onto the disturbed earth, sitting down at her question. The truth was that he didn’t know how they did their choosing. If he was honest, they probably went out and tried to find the last people on earth who deserved this fate- or ones who would never want it, and deliver it to them. Just another layer to the punishment, he assumed. 

“I don’t think knowing the exact reason is going to make either of us feel any better.” He answered her honestly. Of course, he was careful about what he said about the magistrate. If she chose to take this new fate out on him, it wouldn’t be wise to give her that ammunition. “I have a feeling it was a whole lot of wrong place, wrong time.” No, it wasn’t comforting. Not to Jess, at least. 

For a moment, he hangs his head remembering that if he’d just minded his own business, neither one of them would be here right now. The question he wants to ask her is a bad idea- he wants to know how she’s doing, but it felt hollow to ask. “You probably have a lot of questions.” He stated, looking back at her.
