💥Pretty happy with last nights bench session. Still staying narrow no plans of going back to a wide grip. One benefit I have noticed from being narrow is my shoulders don’t bug me anymore from benching. I worked up to 365lbs with no issues, I was thinking of taking 405lbs for a next set but after talking with my teammate @ek_power923 we decided to shut it down and play it safe. I’m sure most of you know I had a pretty serious pec/tendon tear back in October. The first surgeon I saw told me not to do surgery, that it will heal on its own . Even after running Tb500 and BPC 157 for a little over 4 months on and off I was still having issues. While I was on the peptides everything was great no problems. When cycling off some of the problems I would start having were muscle spasms in my pec, throbbing pain, burning sensation in the pec tendon, and swelling of my pec after every bench session that would last for a few days. I was cleared back in January to start powerlifting, I still had these problems back then as well and brought it up to the surgeon. He told me he wasn’t sure why I had a burning sensation in the pec tendon but it should go away. Fast forward to April 6 months after the injury and I’m still having the same exact problems. I have been stuck at a max 400 bench with pain. I saw the surgeon yet again, he had me get a new MRI. After going over the MRI results I was told it is what it is, this is my new pec I have to get use to it. Right then and there I knew it’s time to get a second opinion. A few weeks later I was able to get a second opinion. After talking with the new surgeon I was told I should’ve had surgery within two weeks of the injury. The tendon needs to be augmented with a graft to get it back where it needs to be. Being that I’m now 7 months into this it’s a risky procedure. If I do the surgery this will set me back over 6 months before I can even start lifting again. It would really suck to have to start all over again. I’m going to give the prp a try and hopefully some stem cells. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and will keep everyone posted. ———————————————————- (at Surge to New Levels Gym) https://www.instagram.com/p/BxSwZEllKQ1/?igshid=csh1xfrh3e7c
