My Sims theory is that when time-travel shenanigans created the Sims 4 alternate universe, what it actually did was merge the main Sims timeline with the Urbz + MySims timelines. Hence the inclusion of characters from each series. Basically, the universe tried to condense these 3 concurrent timelines into one, leading to all sorts of strange side effects (weird aging, odd worlds, etc.)
