                    âIâm THROUGH with fighting.â
Sansa understood the reality of the war to come, but it was only an afterthought that occurred once they took back their home. She certainly knew there were many more trials to come, and they were going to be quite difficult. Sansa put her trust in Jon more than anyone to do whats right, she was glad he was here to help her through the harsh winter.Â
Sansa put her hands back into her lap, she didnât know if she saw Jon as more of a brother or more of a warrior. The man who led the battle to take back their home and end her abusers life. She just knew she loved him, and she did not try to analyze that one bit.
âMaybe that is what Westeros needs, Jon. Not just the North. What happens after the war against dead and we win? Who rules? The Lannisters?â Sansa knew this was a tricky subject to be speaking to Jon about, but it was something that she thought about at night. Jon Snow Stark as King. Sometimes the thought came with her beside him, as Queen.
âYou know what is right for the people. Cersei Lannister wants to start wars, not end them.â Sansa put her hand under his chin making Jon look her in the eyes. Her thumb barely brushing his bottom lip. âYou would be a good ruler. People would follow you.â
As much as he tried to ignore the simple facts of the matter, she was correct in all points, and he couldnât deny that. The Lannisters couldnât be allowed to rule and he might not have heard too many rumors about what was going on in the South, but it wasnât good at any rate.
He remembered the day he received the raven about his fatherâs death and the war that was brewing. In truth, he would have left right then, and there, but at the last second, he decided to stay on his so called watch. It was a hard decision, but one that he now knew was the best, and one that saved more lives than he could count.
âThe war against the dead wonât be easy, Winter is here, but no one else can see it.â Besides the ones that already knew that it was there and he knew that things were not going to be simple.
However, as the hand was placed under his chin, he leaned into it for a few slight moments before looking into her eyes, and he knew no matter what reservations he had, they had to be put aside ---- if not for the good of the realm, for the good of the houses that personally followed him.
âI know they will.... itâs just what it will cost them is the real worry.âÂ
âI can imagine so.â He was remaining short, not wanting to interrupt Jonâs thought process as he remained near the doorway. There had been so much to take in over the past couple days and he was sure Jon felt overwhelmed. Who would not be after the Northern Lords proclaimed one King of the North? But it was what they wanted and they wouldnât have said it if they were hesitant in his leadership abilities. In Rickardâs eyes, heâd proven himself to be a promising leader which he must have learned during his time at Castle Black. He knew that no matter what he would make a smart decision when the time came. âThey expect you to lead them. As youâve said yourself the war isnât over and youâre the only one experience enough to help face that problem.â He paused for a moment.âI believe you can, youâve already showed that you will.â
While his words were true, there was a slight amount of hesitation that he couldnât place, and while this was what he wanted.... there was the problem of political game play that seemed to always go on. He wasnât raised to be a Lord, he wasnât raised to be anything other than a Snow ---- he was meant to serve on the wall, but now? He was defying everything and even the old rules of the so called game.
It was, in essence, something he was good at, but the hesitation was slightly more than he thought as he gave a nod, âOf course. Leading them is... what some could say is what I am born to do ---- Starks, they are the wardens of the North, and I am going to lead them.â The problem was he didnât know if he would be able to do a half-way decent job with out leading them on suicide missions.Â
âI just wished I shared everyone elseâs beliefâs.âÂ
âIt doesnât matter what she wants.â Revan snapped in reply, eyes flaring dangerously. âShe will return if I have to send Ruusan to drag her back.â
âYou say that now, but I donât think you are right. You might have to drag her back, but the problem is quite simple; is it worth it? If you wait until they return, you can be a bit more lenient.âÂ
âThatâs not so bad, is it? At least Iâm not doing it to myself.â
âDoes that make it any better?â He asked lightly, âYouâre not doing it to yourself, but..... â He ended up simply trailing off.Â
âYouâre right, I canât control you, butâŠ.. all I would have to do is simply end you. Then again? I donât think you would care too much; Youâre nothing Snow. You always have been.âÂ
âYeah, but I donât really need to listen to you ----- I am not than nothing. I would have thought that after all this time and you being around? Well, I thought it would have been known, but after-all, youâre just a second rate Necromancer who hides behind a mask.â
âSo what in Cadez does that have to do with me or my own people? We had no part in this warâ-we didnât even know what was happening on other planets.â Theyâd advanced, true, but theyâd turned that advancement inwards. They might have been fascinated by the stars, but theyâd had the War the Elements to deal with first.
There was a moment of silence before she answered, âWhat is so special about this Lich King? Did he control all other liches?â
âThe Lich King is many things, but he controls the undead, and by default the Scourge.â He could have said many things, but for the time being, he didnât think that it would matter ---- if anything, it was easier to start with the simplistic matters first than deal with the abet more difficult to explain, âIn this world, the Orcâs are mainly the cause of most, but not everything.â
There was a pause, âWhat do you know of the Old Gods?âÂ
Rickard knew Jonâs head was swimming, this was never what he wanted but this was the peopleâs decision and he was one they could rally around. At his words, he gave the other a look of slightly confusion at his seemingly random statement.âAre you feeling alright?â
âIâm just..... trying to decide a few things.â Okay, so he wasnât exactly feeling decent, but he needed to calm himself down. The people wanted him, it was what he had been trying to deny, but he was doing this to help everyone. If anything, there was a need from him to simply keep going, and it was that primal need that caused him to fight for what was right.
Everything he had done was for a primal reason, he needed to make things right, and there was no way to explain it other than it was what was needed as well as wanted. As much as he tried to calm himself, there was a part of him that wanted to go back to following, but leading was something that was forged into his very blood ---- he couldnât just let go anytime soon or even now.
âMainly, how should I go on ----- what do the people expect? I know they want a true leader, but I donât know if that is what I can do fully.âÂ
âWell, thatâs your own opinion. Besides, if you stick around here long enough, youâll become like us whether you like it or not.â
âYeah, I donât think I will ---- even if I manage to stay here for a long time? Not going to be undead.â
âââ What if I do?â He asked with an eyebrow lifted, âHeâs still my father; I might want to tear him apart, but heâs still my blood.â Even if that meant nothing to him usually, âIâm already damned. You and your threats donât scare me.âÂ
âYouâre right. You are damned, but that doesnât mean you canât save otherâs from their fates, Felsworn. Just think of this as a warning, yes? Threats may not scare you, but knowing everyone else will be damned do to you? Yes, I think that would do it.â
This is a reminder: Death knightâs know Winter is coming and are White walkers.
Sansa nodded, listening to every word Jon said, processing and analyzing what he meant. She was quite confused by what he was saying to be frankly honest. Did he not like it here? With her? She bit the inside of her lip in thought and decided to give her insight.
âIâve been thinking about that too,â She lied, but she was thinking about it now. âHow you must feel. I remember when we were little, how you never sat with us at supper. And how I mistreated you.â Sansa took one of Jonâs hands. âAnd now you are my dearest friend, and one of the only family I have left.â
Sansa always loved her brother, but she learned from her mother most of the time. Whether she was braiding Sansaâs hair or helping her sew, Jon would always be brought up most of the time. Jon was branded into her mind as an oath father broke. But that was shattered when she was alone in Kings Landing.
âI want you to know Jon, this is your home. You are the head of our house. Not because you are the only male heir here, but because you know how to lead. You are kind.â Sansa put her other hand on Jonâs cheek, his beard reminded her of her fathers. âMother and father would be proud.â
Jon knew fully well what had happened when he was younger ---- he was a Snow, but also a Stark. It was quite odd to put it into words, but he knew that he would eventually go to the wall; it was what Starks did for as long as they could remember ---- defending the North from the Whitewalkers and becoming the first line of defense of the so called  north.
However, he knew better now; the North was vast, it was untamed, and wild --- the free folk had taught him that much. While they were not under any laws of the kingdoms, they lived simpler, and sometimes he wished in the back of his mind that this whole damnable war wasnât coming.
Yes, there were many things that could be considered wars ----- not just against he infamous Winter that was on their doorstep, but also what was happening in the South. If he was able to simply get everyone to realize that the whitewalkers were not a myth? Well, things would be easier, but for now, it seemed he would just have to due with the simplistic nature of what he had.
Yet, once again, hid mind was raging into the thoughts of what if, what could be, and of course; how in the old gods and the new he landed in this state. It was something to think about for sure, but for now, he was pulled out of his mind as she moved to place her hand on his cheek.
To be fair, he didnât even realize she was touching him before, but he didnât exactly care either. He knew everything they were doing now was dangerous; there was no away around that simple fact, but he had to say something, right? Well, he thought he had to at least.
âI doubt many would say that; I have done what many wouldnât ----- I did what was right and many still donât seem to understand that. I have backers ---- the Free Folk are loyal to me, and itâs due to the fact I understand them. They have their own customs, but they do what is best for their people. Itâs why they were going towards the wall; it wasnât for anything other than getting someplace safe.âÂ
However, the Nightâs Watch had turned from being a band of noble warriors to simply outcasts, and criminals. It wasnât something that was decent, but when the original reasons for why the wall was put up faded? Well, it seemed all it was for was to keep out free folk when they were not the problem.Â
âI know what I need to do ---- I need to become the Stark I was born to be, but I am also a Snow. I think maybe.... that is what the North needs ---- both someone who is a Stark, but also knows the North like a Snow.âÂ

I actually have the real blog ( not a side blog ) almost set up, but I wonât be switching over until Friday actually ---- just so the new blog stuff wears off and then I will start replying to threads over there ( It will be the same url as well) Currently this is the new blog.Â
âForce forsake me.â he hissed, unfazed by the fact that he was standing directly in front of her. âThey both know she isnât to leave without permission.â
âPermission from whom is the simple question here, but I donât exactly think it matters. Sheâs gone, but I have a feeling they will come back sooner or later.â There was a pause, âIf they donât? Well, maybe she just doesnât want to come back.â
ââ Yeah. I gave you the reason. Actually, I have a few of them too you, but what do you get to do as employed as part of the Lich Kingâs lackeys? I mean, you watch, you keep people out, but where is the⊠fun?â
âIf you stay long enough, you might actually understand what I am going on about, Felsworn.â There was a pause, âI know all about you, stripped of your powers, and now? Mmm, I am starting to think you want to die or maybe... you just want to save your Father from his fate.â
I can teach you how to do it.Â
