serve-the-legion:
“Your kind never cease to disappoint…”
Like a machine slowly coming to life, Gul’dan’s hand began to glow from within with a dark magic. In a grand fashion, he lifted this hand towards the Necromancer…
"------ Well, you would know best wouldn’t you?”
It was a ill placed sarcastic comment, but one done none-the-less as his arms folded calmly behind his back for the time being. His options were SLIM to none about survival, but there was always a back-up plan ( Even if he doubted it would work decently ), but it was still there either way.
“I don’t SPEAK for my kind, but go on. I’m waiting.”
“ Hunt you down without mercy Hunt you down all nightmare long.”
“Apparently I haven’t seen them at all.” she replied, voice dripping venom. “But if you are insistent upon it, take Ruusan and another of your choice—-I don’t care who else.” Just don’t take Tari from me.
Sitting straighter on her throne, Revan’s eyes narrowed a bit in response, a low growl emanating from her throat. “If they take control of my husband I will fight, but until then, or until I feel my kingdom is in sufficient threat, I will do nothing but prepare. I haven’t just been sitting here idle as you seem to think. I know the value of being prepared, but I also know the value of waiting.”
It suddenly struck her just how ironic this situation was. In this, it seems I am the Council and he is me.
“You can prepare all you want, but they are coming, Revan.” It was a simple fact, “The Legion is not confined to the broken isles as everyone seems to think. In the end, they will be everywhere, and this world? It will be another husk like Ashier.”
It was a simple fact in his mind, but one he thought he could actually deal with; either way, he needed to stop it, and apparently....to Nelko, she wasn’t exactly thinking the Legion was a real threat. Something he would fix eventually.
A pause, “Either way, I already two in mind; Ruusan will not be needed ---- I already picked out the two needed long before I came here.” He would take them either way, “When I return.... hopefully, I would have stopped them, but if I haven’t? Well... I gave you a warning.”
With a sigh, and had she been any younger, she would have rolled her eyes. But, seeing as old as she was, even if she didn’t look it, she just gave him a passive eyebrow raise. Why was it always her that had to answer the questions, there were enough dead blue’s that he could have picked someone else.
“Everyone always wants answers, but very few like the ones they receive. I cannot promise that you won’t be the same, but ask away.”
It was a rarity that anyone liked the answers they managed to receive; in essence, it was something he could ultimately relate to, but still, getting answers was something that needed to be done. The specifics of if he enjoyed them or not could be debated later, but for now, it seemed he would have to be the one asking. Even if part of him knew he was treading on ground that wouldn’t entirely go well for him.
A deep breath was taken as his arms folded calmly behind the small of his back, “It won’t matter if the answers are not what I want; what is more important is knowing if it can be done.” A pause as the Necromancer tried to form the correct set of words in his hand, “It’s complicated, I have been doing this for years, but is there a way to keep myself alive, and not turn Undead from this?”
It might not have been the best question to ask, but from what he had been doing, it was taxing on his body, and in essence... he was actually dying. He wouldn’t admit it, but he was, and that was something that couldn’t be stopped now.
@frozenconsort
Well, here is my latest mistake and the return of my Nightmare Druid.
“Nothing. Absolutely nothing.”
“----- Would you like to learn?” It was a simple question, but he knew enough from his son about them and from his own master. It could work in reality, but still... if the Legion was going to attack here? Might as well see what he could do to stop it.
@frozenconsort replied to your post:I see all these new promo’s for warcraft and I get...
(maaaaake the nightmare druid, that would be wicked!)
I used to RP him in-game years ago (during cata), but i’m still not sure it would be worth it or... if anyone would actually be interested in that little piece of shit.
I see all these new promo’s for warcraft and I get the sudden urge i‘m not good enough.
@natusexlitigo
“---- Do I scare you?”
He asked with his head tilted for a few moments at her, if he was being honest with himself, he honestly might have scared her, but there was one thing he learned to accept with Ryan; she always seemed to be impossible to predicted. A reason why he enjoyed his time with her.
Revan had a good idea of what he thought of her right then. Perhaps he thought that she was just an asshole who enjoyed seeming him flounder. And that would, of course, be true. But honestly, she didn’t care at all right then.
“I care about this kingdom. But seeing as you’re here to defend it, I see no reason to do anything about it myself—-unless, of course, you can’t handle it.” she hummed softly for a few moments before continuing. “And I know very well when to act and when to stand aside. I wouldn’t be sitting here if I didn’t.”
Nelko was on the verge of pulling out his HAIR --- there was no way to explain how idiotic she was, but it seemed he couldn’t get that point across. He wasn’t a DEFENDER, he knew with enough motivation, he could at least ATTEMPT to stop it, but he needed MEN. Not even one Death Knight could stop a Legion invasion --- that was what the WORLD was under right now. An invasion pure and simple.
“Have you even managed to SEE Legion portals or their ships?” He rubbed at his temples for a moment, “All I request is two Death Knights ---- I need two of your best. Give them to me and I can stop this, but I can’t do this ALONE. No one can... not even Arthas.”
There was a pause, “When the Legion attacked, the World stood together for it ---- Arthas, he fought the Scourge at First before becoming the Lich King. This world? It’s under invasion again and you do NOT want the Legion taking control of what is your husbands, correct?”
“I’ll think about it.” Revan replied, giving a sigh and leaning back in her throne as she regarded Nelko. If she was being honest, she didn’t mind him all that much, but she was finding it rather amusing to see him struggle to deal with the Legion. She wasn’t intimidated by the demons at all, however. Nothing seemed to compare to her to the Mandalorians—-or at least the Crusaders that had tried to conquer the Republic.
Think about it.
Oh, how he WISHED he could just take what he NEEDED right now, and get out of her presence, but he couldn’t. Yes, she might not have THOUGHT the Legion was a threat, but it was ---- it was the ONLY reason why he was here and not elsewhere.
“ You might not CARE about the Twin Worlds, but you know what? Several other’s do. In my time, there is a time to ACT, and a time to stand aside.” There was a pause, “Give me twenty four hours. If I can give you pure evidence that the Legion is establishing a foothold in Northrend? I expect some support, deal?”
Claws scratched against rock as the shaman’s gaze remained intently on the Necromancer before her. Surely there was a reason he made mention of the purity of the forests. They were shaded but filled with life, and though it seemed as though it had been graced with decay, in truth it was only how the forests had been. It seemed all the more natural in the plant life and the very earth itself. And yet, there was a glint in his eye that might suggest something uncanny as he spoke. Within moments the ghostly lupine atop the perch of rocks was replaced by a Draenei, petite as she had always been. The wolf, perhaps, had been more intimidating.
❝The city nearby has always kept these woods safe,❞ she insisted, perhaps almost as a warning. ❝As well, they are where I reside. To forsake these lands would be to forsake my home. We are blessed to have it kept it that way.❞
While they might have been BLESSED to keep it that way, Nelko knew with just a slight amount of effort, he could more or less CHANGE that, but that would take effort wouldn’t it? He thought so at least for the most part. That EFFORT would have to be done later, but the thought of it was still there ---- for the moment at least.
“Uh-huh. I’m sure they can keep it safe from everything.”
It was more of an off-shot comment as Nelko shrugged his shoulders for a few moments. He had to plan his next words carefully ---- he might have WANTED to cause destruction, but the PROBLEM with causing it was that someone almost always wanted to STOP him, and that just wouldn’t do this time.
However, that didn’t stop him from taking in a deep breath, and re-evaluating his whole plan --- no, he couldn’t do ANYTHING destructive. Not yet at least.
It was then he let out a faint grunt as he TRIED to change his attitude for the time being. He needed to at least be HALF-WAY decent --- he might have originally ill intentions, but even Blacksun could change on a moments notice with his attitude towards things.
“----- Pardon my original words.” He managed to get out lowly, “I’m Blacksun. Nelko Blacksun.” Though, at the last moment his words became more uneven then he realized, “I’m simply passing through.” For now.
@nervousmando
“---- How much to you know about stable legion portals?”
@masteroflightanddark
“-----For the RECORD, I am not the one who let the Legion into Northrend, but it seems I have to stop it... as per-usual.” Nelko was obviously groaning at that thought, “Can I at least have SOME help, Revan?”
“I must say, I received a slightly warmer welcome on my last visit.”
Nix spat out a mouthful of blood, the other three warlocks having dragged off the remains of the groups fifth. Rituals of Doom always had casualties, and injuries. “Blacksun. I must say I’m shocked to see you here. I didn’t even know you’d made it to Dreadscar.” He said, grinning, his teeth still stained red.
The body of a full on pitlord lay dead on the old slab that hung suspended so high above the remains of the dead world the Black Harvest had claimed. Its ichor bleeding its last.
“You missed the fun.”
@nixalegos
In truth, Nelko had to actually pull out EVERYTHING to even get there —- deals, a few old favors, and almost everything in him. In all reality, he didn’t even know if it was WORTH it, but there was no going back now was there? No, he didn’t think so at least, but…. even Blacksun had to change. Slightly at least.
“Yes, well, one can’t just walk in here —- I was surprised I was put in chains.” Rather, he wouldn’t put it past ANY of the other Warlocks —- the last few months were not decent to say the very least, and he didn’t trust ANYONE. Not even himself at times.
His arms then folded behind the small of his back with a grunt, “Personally, I was expecting to have several demons on me, but it seems times have changed. Well, among other things of course, but really… everything is just GREAT around here.” Rather, besides the fact the Legion was invading, Ka’dern was back, and the whole world falling apart bit. Yeah, everything was just perfectly fine.
On a side note, I STILL haven’t decided on who to get to 110 first. My demon hunter, rogue, or one of my warlocks.
