theres a service called imperfect produce that delivers boxes of weirdly shaped/sized produce. its usually like $15+s/h for a thing, which is still cheap-esque, i guess, but the first box ships for free and if you use my invite code we both get $10 in credit. so, like, stacking that, i got 7 pounds of fruit and a granola bar for $4.29. you can customize them and add/take out stuff a couple days before it ships, and everything i got is in surprisingly good condition? my grapefruits are a little soft and one persimmon had a nick but other than those “oh i better eat these today” fruits its all pristine. nice???

to correct a tiny error and also maybe give you some insight, this is a delivery service, not a shipping service. that means like, a human person with a car takes it to your house instead of a post office guy with your mail. i live a ways out from where my area’s hub of this is so mine typically arrives between 8 and 11pm, and they always send me a text alert when it’s got 5-10mn to go and then another when it’s there. how safe leaving boxes in public spaces totally varies based on where you live, but at the very least you’ll know when your vegetables are being abandoned lmao

with FOSTA/SESTA being passed and the removal of sites like Craigslist personals and 2 others I won’t name for security, independent sex workers have been directly targeted by the US government in the guise of “regulating and preventing” human trafficking… this bill literally does not do anything to prevent human trafficking and instead puts sex workers out of work by not being able to contact or screen potential clients and literally forces us back on the streets to work, which is a great way to be killed by the police and dangerous men if you are of marginalized intersections (i.e. non white, disabled, gay/trans women). 

this bill is also just making me lose my mind bc of police and state violence controlling my sanity bc being arrested for working might mean losing my life.

my water bill is due tomorrow and it’s $60 (i have $5), i’m trying my best to work and pay my rent ($365) for April as well. this doesn’t include food and medication but i mainly can’t be homeless.

I’m not gonna give my girlfriend’s entire story, but her private statement on her mother was given to her mom by her little brother’s attorney and doctor. This is a fucked up situation and they put both Lola and her little brother in a lot of danger. Lola has a job (for now) but no place to stay, and a little brother her mom barely takes care of and dogs that she has to leave behind.

I don’t know what’s going to happen to her and I can’t make the call on whether or not she can stay where I’m living right now - it’s not my house.
