Sometimes I hold on too tightly and forget to give enough room; I can feel you suffocating. Yet, you hold my hands and tell me you understand. You understand what it’s like to constantly feel as if you lose the ones you love, so we make up for it by tight fists and strong arms - all while trying to be soft. You love me after all the bruises I leave and the pain I’ve inflicted, and my God I am just trying to love more each day. Please be patient with me as I learn to love you and myself better. That’s the only thing in life I want to perfect.

When we kissed the first time, your breath charred my skin and I didn’t care because I used to shake my head at people who told me that there are some pain that are pleasurable and I disagreed but the flickers of your flame felt so good, branding your scent onto me. I once read somewhere that 99% of the human body are from hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, calcium, oxygen, and phosphorus. And these elements seemed to all get along until your skin cells collided with mine and then it felt as if every atom in my body would combust. Have you ever taken an astronomy class? Molecular clouds in space collapse, come together, and crash into each other to form stars. That was how it was with you. It wasn’t just a night sky, it was the whole damn universe, from the very beginning, over and over again.
