Robin Buckley was the better written queer character. Between her and Will it was her. I hate to say it but the fanbase and the show placed all of Will's focus on Mike and waited until S5 to give him the proper arc he needed. Nearly everyone in the fanbase belives Will had some tragic ending because he didn't get the boy, in reality it takes .3 seconds to clock how good his ending was for his character. But no people are too focused on the romance of it all when his character has never been about romance.
WILL BYERS CHARACTER AND ARC WAS NEVER ABOUT ROMANCE.
Thats the hill i'll die on proudly. His arc was always about love and finding his place in the world NOT ROMANCE. You take away so much of Will and his character when you dumb him down to not ending up with Mike. Or saying he didn't get enough or get what he deserves cause he didn't end up with Mike. IT WAS NEVER ABOUT MIKE.
WILL BYERS STORY WAS NEVER ABOUT MIKE. HIS STORY WAS NEVER ABOUT MIKE.
but thats all people talk about when it comes to him. why is that? Cause his arc wasn't written well enough or compelling enough for people to be content without a romance. Will Byers isn't compelling enough without Mike, and thats proven by so many "Will fans"
claiming you care so much and understand him so much and then say his ending wasn't good enough for you because hes not kissing Mike in the end. It's a direct reflection on how poorly written Will Byers is as a character and as a storlyine.
WILL BYERS IS SO MUCH MORE THAN MIKE WHEELER.

Happy Birthday, Paimon!
Paimon never thought she'd be spending her birthday in Nod-Krai this year... and with so many little cuties keeping her company, too!
Look, they're dancing in a circle! Don't they look like they're celebrating Paimon's birthday?
Honestly, Paimon likes moments like this even more than fancy gifts. It's so lively, and so heartwarming...
Of course, things would be even more perfect with another slice of sweet, sweet cake!
I’m seeing some ppl hype up Gameoverse over KoG because it got more views in much shorter time and like. Well. I may sound like a salty fan but tbh.
I think the thing is that Gameoverse is a safer show. It’s easily digestible, accessible. It’s got colorful marketable designs that are designed to be conventionally appealing. It’s a simpler “playing with your toys” story about antics and adventure.
KoG is less of a fandom story if that makes sense. It sets itself up as more serious with themes and arcs and being morally nuanced. Our protagonists are down to earth humans with physical imperfections and people found that very refreshing. Our heroes are introduced as being morally mediocre but well-meaning. It’s a slower, quieter pilot that sets up their dynamics and motivations and struggles.
It’s something that stood out to me when KoG first aired, it’s that it feels like less of a show designed to have a fandom or merch about it. But that also makes it kinda refreshing compared to its contemporaries where it’s far less of an Incorrect Quotes type of story and more something that could be an actual book.
So yeah Gameoverse is more popular but I don’t think that actually necessarily makes it better. Not when KoG is already more feminist by a huge margin. KoG feels more like a story meant for a niche audience that can really appreciate it and that tracks with Dana’s ramblings about David Lynch and letting the viewer be able to interpret things.
KoG just feels more mature and so while it’s not as popular it almost feels like a quality over quantity situation when it comes to fan reception because I’m not sure what particular in-depth analysis of themes you could go for with Gameoverse.

One of Genshins most problematic ships (assuming you know the lore)
I know I'm going to get a lot of hate for this lol but I'm talking about Wriothesley and Neuvillette.
Before I get into this, a quick disclaimer: I am not trying to police anyone’s fandom experience or force people to stop shipping them. If someone ships this completely blind to the lore and doesn't know about the age/problematic stuff I'm going to mention, that's one thing. But if people know the full canon timeline and still choose to romanticize this dynamic? Yeah, I'm going to rant about how gross and messed up it is.
This post is mainly about a few people I've interacted with who actively ship wriolette due to it's problematic nature knowing and actively romanticizing the full lore.
When you actually look at the canon lore and the timeline of their relationship, it goes from "fictional romance" to incredibly uncomfortable very quickly:
1. The Timeline and Age Gap are Concerning
We know that Wriothesley was sent to the Fortress of Meropide as a teenager after committing his crime. While his exact age isn't spelled out in bold letters, Sigewinne’s letters to Neuvillette heavily imply he was anywhere between 13 to 17 years old when he first came to the Chief Justice's attention (If wrio was an adult when first meeting neuvilette instead of there being a chance he could be as young as 13 years old, i wouldn't have bothered making this post).
Meanwhile, Neuvillette is an immortal being who has been around for at least 500 years. Shipping a literal ancient entity with someone who was a minor/teenager when they first met is wild (I hate it when any romance novel or anything does this, probably the worst thing ever).
2. "But Wriothesley is in his 40s now!"
This is the main defense shippers use (if you don't know the lore then thats completely fine, I'm talking about some people I met who actively like this ship due to it's problematic nature), but it doesn't fix the foundation of their dynamic. If shippers want to view their bond as a romantic progression that started back then, you are inherently implying a grooming dynamic.
Even if you claim they "waited until he was an adult," Neuvillette held massive institutional power over a vulnerable, incarcerated teenager. No matter how you slice it, the power imbalance from their initial meeting completely ruins any romantic framing.
3. The Family Dynamic Makes Way More Sense (this is after viewing their lore and doing a bunch of story/world quests)
If you actually look at how they interact with Sigewinne, a romantic dynamic falls completely flat:
Neuvillette clearly views Sigewinne as his daughter.
Sigewinne and Wriothesley have a distinct sibling-coded dynamic based on their mutual care for each other and how they run the Fortress.
If Sigewinne is the daughter and Wriothesley is like a brother to her, then Neuvillette and Wriothesley being together makes the family tree bizarre. Honestly, based on how Neuvillette looked out for him and monitored his growth from youth into adulthood, it makes infinitely more sense to view them as having a father-son or mentor-mentee relationship, not a romantic one.
TL;DR: not knowing of the lore is one thing, but knowing the context and still supporting it is weird (unless you choose to not take it as canon ig even though it's in the game). The power dynamic is terrible, and the canon lore points way more toward a found-family structure than a romance.
And so, the seer-witch began a new divination.
And so, the seer-witch began a new divination.
The warp and weft of fate emerge through the ancient card spread...
"...I should also mention that in principle, hydromancy stands as the one true legitimate art."
"But I suppose to your companions... what was previously 'fate' has long been disrupted by unforeseen occurrences, has it not?"

hi… tiny cowboy & tiny roman
Oh gameoverse is kinda not my thing lol. The pacing seemed kinda off at times and the overall backstories could’ve used some work. Like I’m pretty sure we only get like 30s of the cat girls (Kit?) backstory and then just a fight scene. Also rlly rlly not liking that all the female characters so far have the exact same body type. And like why are the girls just put in bikinis for the entire episode while the guys don’t even get anything that screams underwater/beach theme The fanservice is also pretty unnecessary tbh.
Wasn’t all bad tho to be fair. The visuals and art style are rlly nice and the voice acting is pretty good (tho tbh I did find some of the characters annoying 😭)
Overall idk if I’ll continue watching. I’ve heard some of the people behind the show aren’t great people and the pilot wasn’t rlly my thing lol.
had to draw all the little scenes i enjoyed after my 4th watch🙂↕️
Stratt... have many thoughts about her, all of them leave a gutwrenching pit in my stomach <3 love herr
dunno about you but I distinctly remember this happening
Like a child just wandering in a garden… yanking leaves…
if you saw them pass by no you didn't (or wish you hadn't)
i just love all the stories about production on project hail mary. they didn't use a single green/blue screen in the whole film. they built the whole interior of the hail mary. the petrova line scene was done practically by putting infrared lights on a chicken wire cage. rocky's voice was one of the puppeteers because he did such a good job during filming that they couldn't imagine anyone else voicing him. and rocky was a practical puppet/animatronic! sandra huller picked sign of the times as her karaoke song and she asked her daughter if it was still a cool song. i just feel like there was so much love making this film and im obsessed
