Ep. 4. Demelza has just finished her heartwarming performance - defeating a whole army of enemies and conquering her hero, by casting a spell over them with her song… And Ross is staring at her - oh, so breathless!

All of a sudden, his heart misses a beat. Because he has realised what he feels, what she means to him and to his whole world.

As if his beautiful acting during the whole scene weren’t enough, Aidan works one last wonder, expressing that awareness of love with the slightest blink of his eyes (and, oh, is that a sparkle of hardly restrained tears?).

So subtle it’s hardly there - a soft blink of the eyes, the slightest parting of lips - and yet in this moment it says the whole world. Classy acting, Mr Turner.
