Certified Make-up Hoarder Me x February Haul x First Time Winner

I am more of a Lipstick kind of girl.  I own lipsticks more than I own eyeshadow pallettes and face makeups.  I dont know why, but maybe because they are more attractive and affordable.  I will be showing you my February Mini Haul! :)

Last January 18, (yes I still remember the date because it’s my firstime pre-ordering lipsticks) I pre-ordered (redundant much?!) Wet N Wild Megalast Lipsticks for me and for my friends and I received it last Thursday! 02/20/14.

 I have been in the search of that perfect peachy pink lipstick that Heart Evangelista wore in her Teleserye “The Legacy”.  Wow, I am amazed with my memory ! :p  So i started searching for it, then i found the just peachy shade of the line then searched for a good online shop that sells it on a reasonable price. and by reasonable i mean, affordable!  In the US, it cos for a dollar or two and I wont buy it here with a 50% or more mark up, no, that is not ME! :P

I came across these trusted online stores that sell it for less than 150! Wew!

nyxwholesaleph.comsells it for 115. YES, you read it right! the downside is, it is for pre-order, so you have to wait for A MONTH to receive your order.  But for me, that is fine since first, I am on the “tipidity”mode and I dont really need to use the lippies immediately.

I have tried and bought in these online stores. They are LEGIT, TRUSTED, VALID, what else? lol.  

The shades that I bought for me are:

Just Peachy, 2 Ravin Raisin (The other one is for Aleli Jean! <3 ) and Pinkerbelle.  I will be posting the shades swatches nextime I blog.

My friends bought Cherry Bomb and red velvet.  I’ll try to ask them to take a picture of them wearing the lippies. lol :)) 

Second, Essence Lip Liner in In the Nude.  I have read somewhere that a lipliner is a must in your beauty kit.  It helps in outlining your natural lips and also helps your lipstick last longer.  It costed me for only Php79! :) 

  My Elf Cream Eyeliner has dried out for awhile now and I revived it by putting baby oil but because of that it made it smudgy and not water proof.  As usual, before buying a product, I searched for reviews about good gel eyeliners with reasonable price again. lol.  San-San’s gel eyeliner was recommended by most bloggers so i gave it a try.  I tried it and i am satisfied that it didn’t smudged!  We really have good makeups in the country! <3  

So goodbye, Elf that i bought for like almost 300 and lasted for like 3 months only and hello san san! :)  Eversince, it dried out, that is when I started buying my make ups online! :p Don’t let the mall prices fool you! :p but ofcourse, make sure the online shop you are buying is legit! okay? okay.

Then, I also bought a hand cream. It’s not really just for the hands.  I bought this to try out because my hands are dry. Truth be told.  and I just thought that I should start taking care of my hands, since I may be shaking many hands in the very near future! ;) Hopefully! 

Oh, and I won a contest on IG featuring PAC Philippines and Ms.Say Tioco! I just posted a photo inspired by one of Say’s make up tutorials.  The prizes are a Lip Color Palette Sample and a Make over Gift Cheque worth 1,500! I haven’t received them yet and I am excited!  PAC is medium-high end cosmetic and that will be my very first time to have that kind of line. :”“”>

Get Ready with me! (School/ Natural/No makeup, Make-up look, Routine!)

Hey y'all! I tried to film a tutorial using my phone for a make-up tutorial.  I didnt like how it went and I think I am not ready for make up tutorials videos so, i just took screenshots from it. Hahaha! :p

Ever since I broke out from all the facial creams and maybe, heavy makeups.  I tried to minimize the number of cosmetics I use for everyday or school.  So, this look is just to freshen up and not to look so pale while doing what I love, obviously that is putting some make ups. LOL. 

Bare face! Boo!!!

I already moisturized and primed my face with iWhite Aqua Moisturizer something then Maybelline's Baby Skin Pore Eraser.

Next is to conceal my imperfections. :( Wuhuhu. Zits just healed and left me with scars. I used Nyx's Jar Concealer, I bought from digitaltraincase.com with Avon's concealer brush then blended it using my ring finger.

Set the concealer with a powder foundation.  Here, I used my Fashion 21 Two Way cake with Tea Tree Oil using my Elf's Studio Powder Brush.

For the Brows, I used my NYX's eyebrow cake in Taupe.  I used the dark shade since I'm going for a natural look.  I sprayed a little bit of water on the brush.  I first outlined my brows then used the spoolie that came with the eyebrow cake. 

Eyelash!  Curled my eyelashes then I coated it with my Maybelline Falsies Mascara. It brightens the eyes, for sure. :D  

Blush!  I used Ever Bilena's Blush in Raisin. I dont know how to explain this shade it's a reddish orangey blush. Perfect for the natural look!  Applied not a lot of it, I like my blushes to look like my cheeks were just pinched. :p

Blurred my face. HAHAHHA.

Then for the lips, I primed my lips with a petroleum jelly and sometimes, I use my Maybelline Lip Balm. Then, applied Sophie's Lipstick in Mango Peach.

Avon Color Fold Up Pallette: Reviews & Swatches!

I got this from Da! <3  It an early Christmas gift from him, I guess? Yes, he’s a HIM.  lol. anyways! I saw this first from Avon’s facebook page.  It did caught my eye since I’m in search for a good eyeshadow pallette.  Maybe Da pitied me last time when he saw me using and being envy with my classmate’s Sephora eyeshadow pallette. :p  I havent used this though. Since I have no time for doing my full make up JUST FOR school. But with the various eyeshadows, blushes and lipglosses I guess I can come up with a decent look soon. <3 Here’s the packaging:

What it looks like before opening. * It has this white cover but I just removed it.* See those violet bubbles? Cute right? Very elegant!

It’s super cute too!   Here’s a whole look for this: It contains, a mirror  18 lip glosses (oh no lipsticks?) 3 blushes and 18 eyeshadows!

Verdict: (Wow, I sound like a professional blogger. Lol.) It’s pigmented! :D  The colors can be used from daytime look to a night time one. :D  I think all of them are shimmery though, no matte eyeshadows but it’s okay! I loved the colors! :D No strong smell :D For the lasting power, I cant really say since I haven;t used this.  But for me,  eyeshadows will really last with eyelid primers!  PS.

I really hope our Local cosmetic brands here in the Philippines can really come up with a good eyeshadow pallette.  Eyeshadows only.  Hihi.   That ends my post! <3 `Thy!

All these little things that make me happy...

Earlier these came along with some foods from my tita and tito.  Since, they can't come home for Christmas.

Lets start with..

the mini Aube Eyeshadow pallette. It was used once, but since my Tita doesn't put too much makeup, she gave it to me. :D

I noticed that in Japan, they have this plastic on top of the eye shadows for how and what part of the eye should it be used.  For this one, it came with two applicators and the other one has brush, which is good for blending, I guess. :D

  What do you think of the shade? It's good for a daytime/neutral look, right?  I think for the nighttime, i'll just get more of that dark shade. ;) The other one, is an eyeliner but I use it for my brows sometimes.  I didn't know it was Shisheido beforeee!  Shisheido's known in the Phils.now! :) and I guess, they have changed the packaging.. 

Err, I dont know what's the integrate gracy.  Is it a shade? or a brand? I really dont know. Hahaha. 

No, it's not a gray or white eyeliner.  because it's unused, it has that grayish color, but when I swatched it for a couple of times,  I saw that the brown color was coming out.  COOL! :D 

That's it! :)  These little things, make me happy.  Even I dont use them always.  Its a great feeling collecting them. LOL. :D Oh, Im planning to try out some japanese cosmetics from DAISO.  until then, Ill be saving up first for Bruno Mars' Concert! YEEEEEEHEEEY, :D ` Thy!

My first MAKE UP gig. (Lakas maka-professional MUA)

Before anything else, I am now telling you i am not a professional/expert Make Up Artist.  I do this because I love doing it.  It somehow relases my stress from School and etc.  I do not claim that I am a MUA.  A frustrated MUA, YES.  A BIG YES. =)

It’s ironic, how I would tell some of my friends before, that I would never wear makeups to school.  But here I am now, I cant leave the house without a full brows and foundation.  I am sometimes proud that I dont wear lipsticks everyday, thanks to Maybelline’s Lipbalm. That Glow baby lips. ;) Anyways.. My friends/blockmates joined the “The Runway Show” and “CTHTIM Icon” in celebrating the founding anniversary of our College.

College of Tourism Hotel Travel Industry Management! whooo. So for their photoshoot, I did Alex’s, Joanna’s and Christine’s makeup.  SInce it’s a photoshoot and it needs to emphasize their eyes and makeups and that’s the only one I know how to do,  I did the smokey eyes on them.  HAHA.  :D 

I wanna thank them for trusting me! (No choice na din) Free training/practice na rin. hihi.  :D Thanks also to Armi for her Sephora eyeshadow pallette. <3 *envy*  Aleli (ajeaneb.tumblr.com)  for her blushes!

I hope I can do this again!  It was fun! <3  Oh and I will surely invest for a good BRUSHES and pallettes! but for now, Ill be saving up for Bruno Mars’ concert. woop woop!

I didnt really do their whole make up.  A blockmate helped me in contouring Alex and Joanna’s face.  :D

Brushes I used are Avon’s Travel Brushes in a pouch and ELF’s eye brushes I bought from The Primp Pad for only PHP 68!  Eyeshadows: Sephora’s Eyeshadow Pallette in Smokey. Elf’s Eyelid Primer, Elf’s Dual Lash Mascara, Nyx’s Blushes, Elf’s Contouring Powder, Maybelline Pore Eraser and Shine Free Powder.  Of course, this blog wouldnt exist without me.  HAHAHA. Hi there! :D

  So, there.  I will never forget this experience! :D

Yesterday, The samples came and i was not expecting it because I think I didnt receive any confirmation message after registering. I have been using their bb cream for normal /dry skin for a while now. It’s actually my first bb cream! Hihi. i wanna try the other shade but I got the same shade i have. Anyhow, thank you Maybelline!

Then, I read in their fb page (maybelline philippines) that they will be having a crazy sale up to 50% off! I wanna try out their rocket mascara and nude lippies too! But, I got myself what i needed most. And that is, a face powder! :)) This Shine Free pressed powder originally costs Php 199 to 159! Less 10%! :)) Their mascaras were 30% off!

I really trust Maybelline since i started using make ups. Hihi. :) their products claim to be as “non comedogenic”. I’ts a plus! Their mascaras are good too! Talk about being awarded by Watsons! ;)

From dream brows to nightmare.

(Please excuse my eye bags and imperfections.  They wont leave me.) 

Girls , lets admit it. Some of us, want that dream full brows at one point. Or you can be just like me, obssessed with perfect brows! That naturally looking with a nice arch and perfectly frame your face eyebrows.

I sufferred those overly done brows times just to achieve that great brows made by these great MUAs i follow. Hahaha. Like this one:

It may seem so perfect but it was too thick.

Last, November (i guess) i was tired of plucking and shaving my brows. I was also scared that I might ruin my already ruined brows. Well, thanks to whoever did my makeup in my JS Prom. The first time I had the thin brows and it was a trend at that time! Lol. So, me and my bestfriend (Kristinay) decided to have our brows threaded. That was my first time. I was excited and scared that i even research for do’s and dont’s. it was done at Laybare. The threader (lol i dont know what to call her, basta yun nag-thread sakin. :p ) told me that she was only gonna get it clean and will not try to reshape it because i have a baby face. (Yeeeh :”>) It hurt! But bearable. After 4 hours or so, i washed my face because its in my night routine then the next day, i breakout. :( Lesson learned: dont wash the threaded part for like 24 hrs. :/ It came to the point when i didnt even want to be threaded again.

I got so busy in School that I have no time to get my brows groomed again and convinced myself that I should be threaded again…

And guess what? I did it. With my mom but not in Laybare. Mom was lazy and I was too. So I tried this Spa Salon near our house….. Tadaaah!

Thinner brows. Now I cant really go out without doing my brows! :////// like really?! I told him/her that i had threaded before so I expect that she was just gonna groom them. Ughhh. I didnt give any tip lol. (Post Thread picture scroll up the, it's first picture! )

So girls, please be contented. And go to a TRUSTED salon. Because SOMETIMES the higher the price, the higher the quality of service you can get. ;) ( take note: sometimes)

Now, i will try to regrow them again. Sucks. It’ll took a long time though. But ATLEAST, i get to re create the perfect full brows i watch on youtube. Some MUAs or gurus really have thin brows. Looks can be deceiving ;)

Getting ready for school!

While getting ready.  It's going to be more messy.

Wait for itt.... Cheneeen! :P After. Lol.

I bought a Sophie Kluge Moisture Lipstick in Candy Peach.  I was disappointed.  Well, ever heard of Expectations Vs. Reality.  YEP. 

So instead of throwing my 120 away. Oh i mean the lipstick.  I did what my friends hey ajeaneb.tumblr.com and Nikki advised, which is putting on concealer on the lips to lighten it and for the color to appear.  At first, I was hesitant.  Like, Hello! Concealer is for scars or pimples, under eyes and I’m not really comfortable putting makeup on my lips except for lip products of course. 

It was okaaay and I cannot wait for my Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick in Just Peachy! :)  I pre-ordered on nyxwholesaleph.com! 

Seems like I was so early to go to School so I have time to practice the winged eyeliner.  I used my Elf Cream eyeliner which already dried up and just saved it through putting baby oil which made it a lot worse. It’s now easily smudged and not waterproof.  I have to buy a new one but I guess I have to go back to using the liquid eyeliner. lol. (Well sorry for my brows.  I am trying to let them grow because I’m planning to get them threaded again.;)

I don’t usually put eyeliner for my everyday make up to school.  Too lazy and tired to remove them when I get home.  Sometimes, its just brows, clear or black mascara, foundation/bb cream, blush (applied once for the whole day na yun.) and lipstick. It’s either Sophie’s Russian Red, This or my Ever Bilena Off-Beat Pink or my Maybelline Baby Lips Glow something. HAHAHA.  It depends on how we are going to be HAGGARD on that day. hahaha.

Atlast! Avon Color Fold Up Pallette!

Do you ever feel like copying one of those great eye makeup and ended.. so different.  so you just kept going and added up some of your signature look…. and pose? lol.  

This look was supposedly a plum and pink not so smokey.. I dont know what happened.  LOL.  Was it too blended? Uhh. Or its the eyeshadows fault?  Thats why im on the search for a good eyeshadow pallette.  So okay, a little tutorial for you guys plus the products I used. (Images overload right here!)

How I did it.. (no pictures/videos though.) 1. Primed my face with Maybelline Pore Eraser. 2.  Applied Ever Bilena’s Advance Shine Free Liquid Foundation. (Not really a Shine Free Liquid Foundation though, My Aunt just gave it to me to try out.) 3.  So since, the liquid foundation is a No No.  I set it with Fashion 21 Two way cake with tea tree oil in the shade of Natural with Elf’s Studio Flat Top Brush from the primp pad! :D 4.  I did my eyes first since I know that the pallettes are very shimmery, it will fall out all over my face. 

Pat on some elf eyelid primer. Blend it.

Put that shimmery pink all ove the lid. (Nichido flat eyeshadow brush)

That light brown shimmery eyeshadow for the crease just to define it. (Elf’s Eye precision brush)

Then that plum/dark violet on the outer V of your eyes. (Marionnaud Flat angled Brush)

Then, blend to soften the edges. (Elf’s Blending Brush)

Put on some of the pink in the middle of the lid to have that transition. Then blend it again with plum.

line your eyes (Elf’s Cream Eyeliner)

Put some mascara (Elf)

5.  Do your brows. (Follow where your brows are. ;) ) Put some concealer below your brows to highlight your browbone. (Nyx Eyebrow Cake in Taupe,  Avon’s angled brow brush) 6.  Contour your face. Yes, do the fishy face! I dont know if the Nyx Blush in Taupe worked on my face. lolol. (Avon’s Powder/Blush Brush) 7. Blush! 8. Powdered my face with my f21 two way cake just to cover those imperfections. HIHI.  9.  Oh I used the lipglosses in the pallette, but I think, Its not that pigmented.  I used the peach one right there and the dark brown to line my lips.  And i dont have that nude lippies yet,  So I used my Sophie’s Mango Peach lippy? So there you go! :D Inarte mode on! :D
