Oh man, I love how these gifs are a case study in the power of tailoring. Assad has such a slim build, and most of his costuming emphasizes how long and lean he is. But here, they put him in a double-breasted jacket with wide, peak lapels. The thick shoulder pads and well-defined sleeve heads visually bulk out his frame, and then the shape of the lapels and buttons emphasize the V shape of his torso. Suddenly our wiry gremlin looks broad-shouldered, powerful, and imposing. Maître, indeed.
