It was fun to rp with you guys here, but sadly I think my muse cannot quite handle being in a different world without his mom!
This account might or might not go indie, I haven't decided yet, but if it does and you'd like to rp don't hesitate to send me a message!
fanservisu:
IV took notice of the shorter boy that approached him. Oh? He asked about his fan service? Did this kid know of IV? How splendid! IV smiled and clasped his hands together, “Hello! I’m always willing to give fan service to my fans.” He chuckled, “Say… You look familiar though, before I give you an autograph perhaps you can tell me your name.”
Well, this was going better than expected, not that Fuya was expecting much. Wasn't the champion known for being gentle? That's what he remembered from the media after dual haired duelist had been crowned, at the very least, and with a motto than involved fanservice then he was bound to be good with pleasing the crowd. Relief probably flashed through the young actor's features. "It's a privilege to meet our current Asian Champion." And he really was excited by the prospect, if only maybe a little intimidated, though.
"Ah, I'm Fuya, Okudaira Fuya."
go ask IV for some of his fan service! It tastes great with ketchup!
"Fanservice? Ketchup?" Was that some kind of bizarre dish in this land? It had an odd name...
You have him a little lost with that anon, and it's pretty evident for a while as he tries to process the request. Soon enough, though, something else seems to catch his attention. "IV? The Asian Champion?" Anon no, he doesn't know the truth, he's actually one of his fans, no! "O-Okay...?"
"Hedgehogs, Cats, what next? Oh how about a--" hands you a tarantula "A spider!! No worries he's friendly!"
Cue loud screeching and crying as he runs away from the worst evil of the world. His own personal world, at least.
"KEEP IT AWAY!" Anon pls Roni pls?
A dare?
Fuya really couldn’t have been much older than III himself! Maybe they were the same age? Maybe he was only a few years younger? Wow, he was meeting so many people lately even though he wasn’t good at meeting others III really was trying his best!
“A week? Well that isn’t long at all but I am sure you will get settled very soon! Arcadios is a very nice place to live and I am positive you will enjoy it very much as you grow more comfortable with your surroundings!” A sincere smile was given as he paced about with tilting his head to the side. “Yes, I am from Heartland!”
III was about to continue on with the conversation until Fuya spoke a few words that made him stop mid sentence or at least forget what he was going to say next. “Yuma? Tsukumo Yuma?” Was it the same Yuma? III only knew of one Yuma in the whole of Heartland! “You know Yuma too?”
How many friends did Yuma have? It seemed as though he knew everybody!
"It indeed isn't a lot, but I've been enjoying myself so far!" To hear a reassurance from someone else was great, though! It helped take a load off the bluenette's shoulders. It had been an alright change of atmosphere, minus his small meeting with the arachnid when he first showed up, but Fuya had still felt uneasy. The lack of technology was also rather disconcerting. But here was another resident from Heartland, someone that was used to the same luxuries of the brightly lit city, telling him that he'd enjoy himself in this peaceful land. "It's good to hear someone else thinking that."
The actor had decided to follow III, standing still if the other duelist did or walking at a slow pace, sometimes just subtly skipping from one foot to another to ease whatever anxiety he had left. And it helped until the name of his friend slipped past the other's lips. It seems the two had at least this much in common!
"You know Yuma too?"
Chuckling softly at the surprise that reflected from the pinkette's emerald eyes, Fuya nodded energetically. "Yeah! Haha, wow, what a coincidence." And the teen seemed slightly more relaxed. The peridot eyed actor couldn't say he knew Yuma's friends personally, having only seen Tetsuo and Kotori twice and hardly interacting with any of his other friends after his duel with Gauche, but there seemed to be an unspoken reassurance that Yuma's friends could be trusted. Or so the actor almost blindly believed.
so whats it like being an actor?
"It's both fun and stressing, actually."
"Some of the scenes can be very interesting to perform, and trying new stunts has always been one of my favorite parts, but you need to be serious on set too. Sometimes, messing up your lines or timing can be very distressing if a lot of the props have to be rearranged for another shooting, and time will always be something that can make the whole team anxious. I guess it's, overall, taxing."
A dare?
It was strange, and normally III would have felt strange or even awkward but when someone did seem familiar to him.. somehow it was less awkward? He couldn’t pick that either, and it wasn’t as though he knew the other boy in real life but something about him seemed familiar to III’s own structure of life. As though the other was just as innocent as III was.
“Oh, you are? How long have you been in Arcadios for?” It had been a short while since III had met anyone new to arrive here in the land, so that was pretty exciting too! He gave a smile, a pleasant one at that and listened to the other boy speak.
Wait, the studio? Now it was coming to him! Wasn’t this boy from the ESPer Robin show? III only knew of it since Tron liked watching cartoons, and the TV so much in general but now it was coming to him. “Ah, you are from ESPer Robin, correct? I haven’t watched it much myself, but my family member likes watching the TV a lot so I’ve seen it in glances..” III hoped that was right, because it would be embarrassing if he didn’t and got it all wrong!
“Fuya.” Ah, yes now it had come to III in a glance!
Fuya couldn't say he was entirely comfortable with the situation, a hint of nervousness and anxiety lingering in the back of his mind as he stood there. He was still learning how to deal with others outside of his Robin persona, although Yuma had done enough to help him out of his shell. It was still odd, though, since his bolder attitude had not been the one to break the ice this time. However, it was refreshing, as well!
"Well, I think I've been here for around a week, I guess." The pinkette seemed curious or maybe simply excited as he mentioned that. Being new and all, the bluenette wasn't sure if new arrivals were a rare occurrence or not. The mention of the show he participated in back home was somewhat reassuring. "Yeah, that's it! If you know the show then I take it you're from Heartland too?"
He wasn't sure if people outside from the city watched it, but he hoped that III was indeed from Heartland, it would give him some semblance of familiarity to know it wasn't just Yuma here. "I was feeling a little nervous not knowing if there was anyone else from back home other than my friend Yuma."
do you have a favorite duel monsters card?
"I like all the cards I use, even though I do hold a preference for the Robin Family monster cards."
"If I had to pick only one though, it'd most definitely be Different Dimension ESPer-Star Robin, though!"
A dare?
deepseakingdom
At a small voice, III looked up to see a bluenette approach and didn’t he look so familiar? Where had the pinkette seen him before? Wasn’t he from that show Tron liked watching so much?
“Hello,” III greeted in return, feeling just as nervous as the other was feeling. “Oh, it isn’t weird at all! But you do look familiar.. I can’t pick it, but I feel as though I have seen you before. My name is III, it is a pleasure to meet you.”
Well, the other didn't seem bothered by his presence, which took a huge load of his shoulders! It should be less strange to try and hold a conversation if the other party had no problem with doing so. Although the curious gaze of the pinkette felt...odd, like there was something else in this meeting than just seeing a stranger. "Ah, I'm glad it's not! I'm still new around here so I worried for a moment."
Tilting his head to the side, the duelist tried to think about III's comment. He seemed familiar? Well, he was used to the thanks to the show but did this boy come from Heartland too? Was bringing that up a good idea? "Really? I can't say the same; things are usually busy on the studio where I work so I can't go out much." Should be vague enough, right? "It's nice to meet you too, III. My name's Fuya, Okudaira Fuya."
Dare: Go greet the first person on your dashboard whom you've never talked to before.
"Alright...?" Fuya isn't sure what exactly is daring about doing that, but he'll find out, maybe?
Headcanon: Esper Robin
I don't think Robin is exactly an ideal figure in his mind, but he does want to become a bit more like him. Not in the acting his persona way but more like incorporating some of this traits to his own personality. When he first shows up, he says he's not as courageous or powerful as Robin, which makes me think that he'd like to at the very least stop being so withdrawn. And after his duel with Gauche, he's rather confident and much more out-spoken, kind of what he probably liked most about Robin?
I'd say he's learned a lot by acting a persona that was so different from him and it helped him see what areas he needed to work on to improve himself.
headcanon: acting
Well, anon, I think Fuya does enjoy acting quite a lot!
I see him as the kind of person that gets really in character and likes to make sure he has everything ready to act his scenes as naturally as possible; we see him practicing his lines when Yuma and the other sneak into the building and he looked like he was having fun with it. I think the stunts are also something he loves to do so that's why he practiced with his props often.
I think it's one of the reasons why he managed to keep up with his mother and the Robin facade for so long; he did enjoy acting like Robin, even though he wanted to be able to be himself.
I see him as a bit of a perfectionist on stage too? It might be because I imagine his mother is always strict, but like, he probably doesn't like it when he messes up his dialogues or when using his props? I picture him getting a bit annoyed by things like that.
tell us about your mother ok
"My mother?" There's a lot he could say about her, anon!
"Well, I love her very much, obviously. She has always been quite strict, and a very busy woman since I was young, though. Still, she tried to spend some time with me and I'm very grateful for that! In fact, I do remember her being really caring during those few times, although that gradually stopped when we started working on the D.D. ESPer Robin show." He sighs softly at the mention, but returns to normal soon enough.
"I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't upset by the change, but I know she's always doing what she feels is best for me." Or so he keeps telling himself. "She slowly started to act more like her past self after she saw me dueling Yuma, though! I guess she finds the change hard to deal with but at least she lets me go out more now."
I also thought my mother was a card, but that was just Number 83: Galaxy Queen!
[This was hard, Anon.]
[ Question for MUN ]: What made you want to play your character?
Well, can't say there's a deep or strangely meaningful reason behind it? It really started on a whim because the Zexal roleplayers here on Zods were a pretty awesome bunch and we goofed around on our personals and stuff, so I kinda wanted to join in on the fun?
I started watching the show and it really hooked me up? Fuya was like one of the first characters that made me go "precious baby" because he was such a sweet kid and I really liked his character and the slight development he got during his intro episodes. When he made a cameo again, though, I realized he had actually grown a lot since his duel with Yuma, yet he was still the same modest and sweet kid despite learning how to be bolder and more confident; I really liked that.
Thinking about it, I guess I can relate with him too? How sheltered he was, how hard he was trying to please his mother while pushing his own feelings aside, how he realized that it was wrong but he couldn't find it in himself to stop? I was the exact same until I turned...maybe 15 or 16? so I get how hard that can be and the long process you need to get through to leave all that behind and learn to be yourself. I guess I also kinda admire the way he managed to take that step and change for the best in such a short time?
I don't know, it's a mix of identifying with bits of his personality and past combined with liking him as a character overall?
Fuya for best babysitter
