Halloween is Tomorrow! Iâm Dressing up as Tardigrade Protien! http://www.nature.com/news/tardigrade-protein-helps-human-dna-withstand-radiation-1.20648
Okay, some people like studying with music, others donât. I can only study with music that has no particular melody so I donât start singingâŚÂ Here are some playlists in all kinds of genres, so hopefully there is something for everyone. Also, feel free to add your own!
Backporch Blues I think this is a sleeping playlist officially, so donât doze off!
Calm and Focussed I like this playlist of classical music, except it has the frickin AmĂŠlie theme again. Contains Vivaldi but also contemporary music
Calm Before the Storm Soft rock-ish instrumental music (not all rock tho)
Code Mode Electronic. No lyrics. Ever.
Deep Focus I love this one for late night studying
Digster Sleep Pop music to help you sleep focus
Focus: Classical & Electronic If you canât choose between the two I guess
Focus Modus Instrumental, cheerful R&B/Indie/Rock? music
Focus Now For your daily dose of classical music (no soundtracks etc)
Focus on the Mix Remixes mostly of pop music
Focus - Video Game Music Like the name says, some epic game music
In Deepest Blue Actually an album but most tracks work great for studying
Indie Rock Brain Boost Mostly popular Indie music
Instrumental Study Ambient, instrumental music. Sometimes nature noises
Jazz - Classical Crossings Jazz musicians performing classical works (also great if youâre not studying tbh)
Late Night Focus Some more electronic music
Minimal Music Mostly contemporary classical music. I skipped AmĂŠlie honestly that song is everywhere.
Mozart 50: Spotify Picks If you feel like trying out that Mozart Effect
Musik Produkt Electro-chill. I like this one, but itâs not as long as the others.
Productive Morning Not too loud to get a headache, not to quiet to fall back asleep.
Soundtrack for Study Just what the name says, but it does not feature many main themes so youâre less likely to recognise them and get distracted!
Studeren Classical music, similar to Calm and Focussed. Also has the AmĂŠlie theme *cries*
Studying Music Quiet focus music, downside is that the tracks are very short
Study Vibes Electronic study music, does have vocals sometimes.
The Focus Lounge House music. Most tracks are pretty repetitive so not very distracting
To Do List Electronic focus music, this is honestly my favourite ever.
White Noise Just as the name says, white noise for focus.

Can you Answer this NCLEXÂ Question?

I know the answer. Do you?
I strongly believe that learning to study is an essential part of education. Itâs strange how through school and college weâre never actually taught how to study easier and more effectively. These are my recommendations of the best non-fiction books that can forever change your understanding of learning methods and living a more productive life.
â˝ Fluent Forever by Gabriel Wyner â˝
Written by an opera singer who taught himself several languages and developed a system of fun and easy language learning. Itâs useful not only for beginners but for intermediate learners as well, combining interesting and unique methods that you just need to follow and implement in your study routine. I can boldly say that this guy changed my perception of how a language should be learnt and gave me so much motivation and appreciation towards my target language. He also has a very useful website and a youtube channel. Reading this book should be your number one task when you decide to start learning a language.
â˝ Essentialism by Greg McKeown â˝
This is one of those self-help books that really help. The author invites us to become an essentialist - a person, who can prioritize tasks and abandon anything that doesnât lead you to a better life. It was the first book I read on my way to self-improvement and in the end I was left with hundreds of notes and highlighted parts that still inspire me today.
â˝ The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg â˝
This book is all about habits and itâs truly fascinating. Science has never been so fun and engaging, it combines description of laboratory experiments with real life cases, and it never seems difficult to understand. We become more acquainted with how our brain works, and in result gain knowledge of the way to get rid of bad habits and replace them with good ones.
â˝ Make It Stick by Peter C. Brown â˝
This book may become truly revealing for anyone whoâs only been studying using the same (the authors use the word âintuitiveâ) techniques: rereading, going the easy way, polishing one exercise before moving to the other, avoiding mistakes, etc. In fact, studies show that the natural methods arenât the most effective ones, and the book explains which techniques should be used if you want to keep your newly gained knowledge in the long-term memory, rather than in the short-term one.
There are also books that I havenât read yet, but heard a lot about:
> Mindset by Carol Dweck (how the kind of a mindset you have can dictate if you succeed in life)
> The Organized Mind by Daniel Levitin (one of the must-read in the genre)
> Getting Things Done by David Allen (aka the most well-known and effective organization system)
> The Defining Decade by Meg Jay (watch a Ted Talk the author gives on the importance of working at your goals in your 20âs)
>Â How to Study by George Fillmore Swain (recommended by @babyincollege)

SOOO important. Spread the word!
âMan must rise above the Earthâto the top of the atmosphere and beyondâfor only thus will he fully understand the world in which he lives.â â Socrates This is an awe-inspiring capture of STS-11/41B rising above the clouds back in 1984.
Real-time magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) refers to the continuous monitoring (âfilmingâ) of moving objects in real time. Because MRI is based on time-consuming scanning of k-space, real-time MRI was possible only with low image quality or low temporal resolution. Using an iterative reconstruction algorithm these limitations have recently been removed: a new method for real-time MRI achieves a temporal resolution of 20 to 30 milliseconds for images with an in-plane resolution of 1.5 to 2.0 mm. Real-time MRI promises to add important information about diseases of the joints and the heart. In many cases MRI examinations may become easier and more comfortable for patients.

Advice from a uni student
Iâve never really tried to give studying tips before but since so many are starting school, I thought Iâd give my two cents as a hopeful second year uni student. Some are probably pretty obvious, but donât take it for granted, think about it seriously instead.
1. Give it your all. Donât half ass it because when you get a bad grade youâre going to be regretting watching cat videos for the whole semester. Even if you hate the subject, you need to get a good grade to pass.
2. Ideally, do your readings every week. If you canât manage, or itâs a long boring chapter, try to at least find a video which explains the subject, and take notes again from the video (make sure said source is reputable, always).
3. When classes are over and itâs time to do readings or homework, if youâre feeling tired donât force yourself! Unless itâs the week before exams, or a day before the deadline, just take a brief nap and get back to work. If youâre too tired you wonât do your work/ half ass it.
(Try not to leave homework/ assignments for last minute, itâs going to stress you out. A LOT)
4. Compile your bibliography as youâre writing your assignment!!!! Learn how to do footnotes properly, it will save you so much time later + grades are assigned to the bibliography too.
5. Take notes in class, and go to class even if attendance isnât required. And actually refer to said notes before the exam because they will really help you. ( donât 100% depend on them, unless you have good notes and you really just want to pass)
6. Iâm sure we all have those days when we just canât bring ourselves to study. Especially two days before an exam. It happens to the best of us. A method that works for me is to try to meditate, or some light exercise. Looking at studyblr pictures doesnât mean studying.
7. Try to take classes at times when you are less likely to be productive, so that you leave the time when youâre most productive to when you have to study or work on an assignment. (This kind of advice really depends on the kind of person you are. If you are prone to skipping class if you do this, just skip this advice)
8. Lastly, keep some fruit bars or easy to eat food with you constantly. Youâre gonna get random food cravings and they wonât let you study. So prepare for that event.
Iâm sure thereâs plenty more things that I havenât included, but many other studyblrs have done these advice posts so Iâm sure youâll find what you need. I apologize for not including advice for working students, but since I am not one I canât give you advice. This has all been advice based on my experience this past year in uni.
If you like these posts or want more tips just let me know ^.^
