Some is better than none. Some is better than none. Some is better than none. Walking for three minutes, is better than nothing. Drinking a glass of water and eating a snack, is better than nothing. Wiping down the counter, is better than nothing. Small things are not nothing. Small things are not nothing. Small things are not nothing. You don’t have to achieve grand things if all you’re capable of right now is the smaller things. They are still achievements. Don’t do nothing just because you don’t think you’re capable of doing bigger things, just do something you’re capable of today.
just saw a note on substack about someone named Hannah meeting someone else named Hannah, who had never met another Hannah before — so I got curious. have you met someone who shares the same name as you, and is your name common? (excluding if you’re named after a family member)
common, have met someone with the same name
common, have not met someone with the same name
somewhat common, have met someone with the same name

my name is typically a nickname, have met someone with the same name

One time I introduced myself to someone, she commented that I had an unusual first name which she didn't see all that often.
I told her I didn't think it was that strange; after all, I heard it every day.
I really want to recover my love for music.
Looking back, I'm not even sure if I ever really had a passion for it at all. It may have just been something I was good at, and decided to pursue because of that. To not "let the talent go to waste". But now I'm unhappy in a shitty career and I wish I had just let it be a hobby.
Although, if I'm very honest with myself, I doubt it would still be a hobby at all. I just don't like playing the saxophone. I don't know if I ever really did. I love singing. But saxophone? Not really. Or conservatory beat it out of me so thoroughly that I can't even imagine liking it anymore.
the thing that really cheeses my cake about flies getting in my house is they clearly don't want to be there anyway. like at least the ants trying to steal cereal from my pantry had a goal and a plan. you are just here because you're too stupid to use a window twice
at the ripe age of 28 I finally watched avatar: the last airbender and i am not ok actually
Yet again, more proof that capitalism was never about "freedom" or "small government".
Honestly, y'all, I'm begging you. Take the time to think and learn for yourself. Even if it's just something casual like knitting or cooking. Exercise your brain. It's important.
if you're not obsessed with anything weird and niche please try harder. stop going outside for a while. consider getting weirder about the things you already like
I just finished playing Professor Layton and the Lost/Unwound Future for the first time and this game had me sobbing. What a masterpiece.
Why do we say “slept like a baby” when babies literally wake up screaming every two hours?
I want to sleep like a middle-aged dad who “rests his eyes” during a Marvel movie and wakes up refreshed, confused, and ready to barbecue.
omg ok put in the tags a food that makes u feel like life is worth living when you eat it. like u eat it and it's soo good and everything's fine actually
