Why I Choose Young Living

I get a lot of questions since turning my life around using essential oils, but one of the biggest ones is - why would I choose Young Living over all of the others?  Well, for me, a lot of research went into it.  My mother introduced me to the oils, but like a lot of people, I was skeptical.  I mean, why spend the money to become a distributor when I can just buy the oils elsewhere?

This is going to sound silly to some, I’m sure, but the reason I chose Young Living above any others is purity and transparency.  By that, I don’t mean that I blindly believe in everything, because I’m skeptical by nature.  But I also don’t know any other company that will let you visit the farms where they grow what goes into your essential oils.  Young Living does that.  Members take part in the harvests every year.  I don’t believe that any company is 100% transparent in all things, but I have to admit that this was a big swaying point in their direction.  While I haven’t been personally yet, it’s now on my ‘bucket list’ to go visit one of the farms.

Like I will maintain, if you’re a believer in another company’s oils, all the more power to you.  I occasionally use other oils too, but Young Living is where my loyalty mainly lies.  It’s one of two brands of essential oil that I trust to take internally.

A little disclaimer

Hey there!  I just wanted to share a couple of things here to kick things off.  Just a brief disclaimer about some things.  You understand. :)

First of all, yes, I am a Young Living independent distributor and many of the posts you’re going to find on this page, as well as our Facebook page, will either involve or promote Young Living essential oils.  That said, I firmly believe that if you love what you use, that’s what matters most.  So if you’re here for the information/recipes and you use another type of essential oil?  That is totally okay with me!

Additionally, I firmly believe in using a little caution and common sense with your oils.  Essential oils are not going to heal a broken bone (though they may help with the pain associated with one).  Never put essential oils into your ears or your eyes.  Never use essential oils on your cats.  Use extreme care in using essential oils on a baby.  To use an undiluted essential oil is to do so at your own risk.  Yes, I know that YL gives suggestions about using oils neat.  But when you consider that essential oils are extremely concentrated, it’s not such a bad thing to use a little carrier oil, you know?
