Guide to Houston While At the Grace Hopper Celebration for Women in ComputingĀ
And the countdown begins! Only 15 days left until #GHC16.
I am super excited that the Grace Hopper Celebration for Women in Computing will be held in Houston once again. As a Houstonian, I couldnāt be more proud to show off our awesome and ever growing city. Around 15,000 attendees from all over the world are expected to gather at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Tickets were sold out in 15 minutes, everyone is talking about it, #GHC16 is happening.
Needless to say, I am ecstatic that I got a hold of a ticket. I am so ready to network and meet all the empowering women that will attend. Iāve already made a schedule to make sure I go to the sessions I want to go to, I signed up for six after parties, and my business cards and outfits are ready.
There are so many events happening during the convention and after the convention. There will be sessions, workshops, luncheons, networking events, parties, happy hours, brunches, etc. and so little time. This is why I decided to compile a short guide to Houston while at GHC to make the most out of your trip. In the video, I provide a list of restaurants, bars, shops, museums, and parks. I also go over transportation and things to bring to the convention center for GHC.
If you see me, come say hi! Comment below if you have any questions, I am a Houstonian =)
