(   🌺   )               the   thing   about   her   sharp   memory   was   how   she   never   seemed   to   forget   a   familiar   face.   it   can   be   a   person   she   came   across   randomly   on   the   street   or   a   friend   she   knew   way   back   in   middle   school   ———   as   long   as   sophie   spared   them   a   single   glance,   she   could   eventually   recall   the   very   moment   they   met.  

seeing   yihan   again   ———   well,   that   sparks   all   those   times   they   spent   eating   outside   the   cafeteria   to   avoid   the   crowd   &   talk   to   themselves,   when   she   had   come   over   to   help   with   his   homework   before   watching   their   favorite   movies   together   on   the   living   room   sofa.   despite   their   abrupt   separation,   sophie   considered   him   a   close   friend.   she   doesn’t   blame   him   for   suddenly   disappearing   to   pursue   his   career,   even   though   she   would’ve   wanted   a  WARNING   that   he   was   going   away.   life   happens  ;  she   knows   that   too   well   by   now.

❛   yihan,   ❜   she   laughs   out,   walking   towards   him   &   tugging   tripod   along.   ❛   it’s   been   like,   what,   almost   ten   years   now   ?   you’ve   grown   so   much   !  ❜   she   looks   around   the   set,   watching   the   crew   prepare   everything   for   their   shoot.   ❛   i   guess   you   made   it   big,   huh   ?   how’s   life   been   treating   you   ?   ❜

                  ❝   𝐈   𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃   𝐒𝐀𝐘   the same for    you    .   ❞    Says Yihan  .  The man chuckles  ,  a fond smile gracing his lips as he beholds the woman before him  .    ❝   You look  .  .  .    different    .  But a    good different   ,  don't worry  .   ❞    A brief silence consumes the space between them  ,  allowing the two to    relish    the company of the other  ,  a presence long since    forgotten    ,  but    familiar    all the same  .  The moment their shared gaze is broken pulls Yihan from his nostalgia  ,  and he follows Sophie's eyes as they sweep over the set surrounding them  .  Somewhat abashed that their reunion had to occur in a place like    this    ,  with staff and crew bustling about the space  ,  ladders  ,  lights  ,  and other various equipment dispersed across the area  ,  it's organized    chaos    at its    finest    . Sophie's question momentarily casts aside such trivial concerns  ,  however  ,  though the embarrassment lingers  ,  taking on a new form with a hand that raises to rub the back of Yihan's neck and a demure chuckle that leaves him  .    ❝   I  .  .  .  wouldn't say we made it    big    ,   ❞    Which wasn't    entirely    a lie  ---  it's not like Yihan's group shot to    stardom    within moments their debut was released  ,    ❝   But  .  .  .  things have been going pretty    well    ,  actually  .  Uh  .  .  .  my group    debuted    ,  for one  ,  and got a good amount of    attention    ,  and because of it  ,  we got to have a comeback fairly quickly  .  Hence  .  .  .   ❞    Yihan gestures to the set around them  ,  the scene answer enough  .    ❝   How've    you    been though  ?   Looks like things have gone alright on your end  ---  I mean  ,  you have    this    little guy for starters  .   ❞    Yihan's smile brightens as he peers down at the dog that accompanies his friend  .

                    mondays  were  definitely  those  days  when  mia  had  a  lot  to  do  in  her  flower  shop  as  those  were  days  of  their  weekly  deliveries  and  it  was  her  task  to  sort  this  out.  starting  the  day  on  her  own,  she  didn’t  expect  anyone  to  stop  by  so  soon  as  it  was  rather  unusual  for  them  to  get  any  customers  this  early,  so  focusing  on  counting  everything  and  sorting  out  receipts,  she  completely  blocked  the  whole  world  from  herself.  

upon  her  surprise,  she  heard  a  voice  speaking  back  to  her  and  that  was  one  second  which  brought  her  back  to  the reality.  mia  wasn’t  considered  a  bad  worker,  completely  opposite  actually  and  that’s  why  the  owner  trusted  her  so  much  but  this  behavior  was  definitely  out  of  her  character. 

“  I’m  sorry.  “  she  said  quickly,  realizing  how  she  could  have  offended  him  despite  she  only  asked  him  to  pass  her  the  pen,  but  once  her  eyes  shifted  to  his  appearance,  her  expression  changed  along  said  words  and  she  tilted  her  head  to  the  side.

“  you  don’t  seem  like  someone  who  would  be  around  in  my  field.  “  woman  assumed,  and  it was  correct.  she  was  certain  she  wouldn’t  have  seen  him  at  her  company,  because  she  knows  everyone  she  mentors,  and  also  minkyung  definitely  doesn’t  know  him  from  working  at  big  brand  projects.  so  why  does  he  seem  so  familiar?  a  few  mere  seconds  passed  and  it  seemed  like  a  small  lamp  lightened  above  her  head,  collecting  her  thoughts.  

“  oh  wait.  “  she  was  sure  this  time.  “  I  think  our  fathers  know  each  other.  I’m  quite  certain  I’ve  seen  you  at  one  of  our  gallery  openings.  “  mia  nodded,  glancing  at  the  other.  though  she  was  from  a  wealthy  family,  she  enjoyed  working  at  this  little  flower  shop  which  could  probably  confuse  him  what  would  she  even  be  doing here.

“  but  you  didn’t  come  here  to  hear  me  talking.  how  can  I  help  you  today?  “

                 𝐇𝐄   𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐒   𝐇𝐈𝐒   𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃   ,  a silent indication that she need not apologize  ,  irascibility assuaged with the newfound subject erasing Eunwoo's prior perturbations  . He patiently waits  ,  watching as the gears turn in the woman's head as she works through her thoughts with the occasional muse  ,  until her countenance    brightens    in realization  .  The assumption she arrives at evokes a distant memory of an event Eunwoo had attended a few years back alongside his father  ,  the latter having a penchant for high profile gatherings  .  Though the gallery opening didn't promise any benefit in particular for YUNNMEI  ,  the hotel company they work for  ,  Eunwoo was    certain    that his father had only expressed such    peculiar    enthusiasm for the event because of his connection to one of the hosts    (   whom Eunwoo now knows is this florist's father   )    ,  and the opportunity for    networking    the gallery opening posed  . More moments from that event coming back to him  ,  Eunwoo recalls briefly greeting a    young woman    who had stood next to his father's friend  .  Though her visage is practically a    b l u r    in his mind's eye  ,  the man remembers the    youthful shine    it held all those years ago  .  Looking at the florist seated before him now  ,  it's    undeniable    that she was that young woman from back then  .  Her demeanor is undoubtedly more    assured    than it once was  ,  and her complexion inevitably more    mature    as a result of prior experiences  ,  her features still retain an air of     familiarity    that bring Eunwoo back to that day  .

Alas  ,  Eunwoo's trip down memory lane is brought to an abrupt close when the woman  ---  was Choi Minkyung her name  ?  ---    jolts    his attention back to the present  .    ❝   Ah  ,  my apologies  .  I dropped by to pick up a bouquet  .  Something on the sophisticated side should work  .  Nothing too over the top  ,  though  .   ❞    As he spells out his request  ,  however  ,  a    new curiosity    captures Eunwoo's attention  .    ❝   What's someone like yourself doing in a flower shop  ?   Aren’t you already an heir to one of the   largest    modeling agencies in East Asia  ?      ❞    (   Though  ,  Eunwoo couldn’ t really be talking  ,  either  ,  given    his    past  .   )

song retain his eye contact as the other seeps into her thought. he understands that his existence is too deep to process as most people he encounters does not believe in ghost. heck, back in the days where he is alive, he doesn’t believe either. guess supernaturals only exist in movies and dramas for some people. the ghost is surprised however, when she did not reacted intensely as he expected, never realized she could be as open minded as this.

frowning a little, the ghost came self conscious as the female stares at him - the translucent image of the old ghost in his overused military uniform. song is rather grateful that his death wasn’t a bloody one. just a shot on his back - hence there isn’t much gruesome detail on his image now. though he cannot help but to be shy at the stare.

“ i will respect your wishes. “ song replied fast. true - he possessed people without their knowledge, but he did made sure to respect them along the way. he never engage into serious matters while he is in their bodies. never tried to ruin their lives - well, maybe once or twice to people with ugly souls, but that’s it. he is just a passing spirit, who takes away time.

“ though i might hunt you for the rest of your life. “ he added, this one isn’t entirely a truth, nor a lie. because of him, the woman could see ghost now. it wouldn’t be impossible if their paths crossed again.

                 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆   𝐇𝐄𝐑   𝐋𝐈𝐏 in deliberation  ,  Via weighs her options  .  One would bring her instant  ,  but    e p h e m e r a l    relief  ,  whereas the other would reward longer lasting relief at the expense of some    time    and    effort    .  As    beguiling    as the prospect of turning the spirit away and relieving herself of his predicament was  ,  Via wasn't    too    fond of the idea of being    HUNTED    in the future  ,  either  .  She doubted anyone would be for that matter  . With an    irritated    sigh  ,  Via makes her choice when a hand extends to shut the laptop in front of her  ,  gaze resting upon the ghost's once more  .    ❝   Fine  .  I'll help you or whatever  .   ❞    She says  ,    another    sigh dropping from her lips  .  Sure  ,  while the journalism student had made her decision  ,  that didn't mean she was going to be particularly    peachy    about it  .  At this rate  ,  she'd    sigh    her way through the rest of the night as if two drawn out    (   and quite    dramatic    )    exhalations couldn't express her exasperation enough  . Gathering the papers strewn across the table in front of her  ,  Via stores them away neatly as she scans the various visages dispersed about the library  .  All were typing or writing away at their homework just like she had been minutes ago  ,  and all were perfect candidates for possession  ---  it was just a shame that the setting was much to    public    for a display of    otherworldly activity    ,  however  .    (   After all  ,  Via didn't know what exactly happened the moment one is possessed  .  Do they convulse in pain  ?   Or fall    limp    before    reanimating    under the control of a spirit  ?  Either way  ,  Via wasn't keen on sticking around to find out  .    ) Standing  ,  the journalism student hefts the strap of her bag onto her shoulder before flicking her head towards direction of the library entrance  .    ❝   Come on  ,    ghost guy    .  Let's find you a person to    possess    .   ❞

                  maybe further down the line, when all this has passed, she’ll run into him around the school premises or at a party or in a grocery, and she’ll call him something stupid like ‘sewer boy’ for fun, and they’d laugh about it. or at least, she might. something about that makes her wonder what other inside jokes they could have if she actually decided to befriend him. she wonders if tonight will remain some odd, random memory in her mind or if this could be a more regular thing– not that she’d enjoy accidentally blowing something up, especially if it meant running away from cops again. but hanging out with him might be nice, she thinks. then she realizes she’s probably just caught up in the moment and in his kindness. tomorrow’s a new day, and she could act like she barely knows him again, if she wants to.

but for now, brooklyn keeps things friendly and fun because he just saved her life and he was now letting her have free food. “me? what, full of surprises? c’mon, i’m an open book.” if you exclude the fact that she’s a mutant vigilante, sure. then again, she doesn’t know how he sees her.

the girl turns the menu in her hand, looking over each dish like this meal would save her life. upon hearing his suggestion, however, she puts it down and decides to just trust him. after all, he seemed to know this place more than anyone in the world. “are you a pancakes kind of person?” the question slips, uncharacteristically curious about him. eyes flicker from him back down to the menu. she doesn’t know why she’s embarrassed to ask something so… normal. “i’ll just go with waffles and some hot chocolate or something.”

                  ❝   𝐘𝐎𝐔   𝐒𝐀𝐘   𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓   and act as if we    weren't    just running from the    police    a couple hours ago because of whatever it was you did  .   ❞

Max's comment  ,  spoken at a carelessly    loud    volume  ,  inevitably garners a number of    appalled    glances from nearby customers  .  But he knows that the presence of a foolhardy teen was not uncommon amongst the diner  , and it's this that allows for the young man to retain peace of mind  ---  statements like his wouldn't invoke the    urge    to take    action    against him anytime soon  ,  and therefore  ,  an impromptu escape from the police was the least of his concerns  . 

A smirk easily makes its way onto Max's features  ---  a look recurrently worn on his boyish countenance  ,  complete with a twinkle in the eye  .    ❝   There's    definitely    more to you than you let on  ,  though  .   ❞    Says Max  ,  and he's    tempted    to learn more about the girl who had become a fast friend    (   and perhaps    f l e e t i n g    ,  should they ultimately    part ways    after tonight draws to a close   )    within the span of a day  .  However  ,  he curtails his curiosity  ,  and leans back  .

The smug look Max sports softens into one of mirth upon catching the bashful aversion of Brooklyn's gaze  ,  her question reaching his ears  .    ❝   Nah  ,  waffles are better  .  So good choice  !   ❞    His order already in mind  ,  Max perks his head up  ,  eyes scanning the surrounding area to locate a nearby waiter  .  Before long  ,  their orders are taken down and soon served  ,  an omelette topped with bits of bacon  ,  shredded cheese  ,  and bits of tomato placed before Max  .  He makes quite work to satiate his growing appetite  ,  taking a few bites before looking back up to the girl before him  .    ❝   So what do you think  ?  You    can't    tell me that the food here isn't great  .   ❞

she’s convinced that she was invited by a pure mistake. one of the girl’s mistaken her for her friend hana and when she already opened her mouth about the party she just decided that she could come along anyway. she didn’t hate parties, she just hated the fact that people pretended to like the same type of music. why couldn’t they just play bands instead of just straight edm? it kinda just blurs into noise at some point.

sitting there in a large circle in hopes for something fun was anything but it. people took too long making out and taking their time to spin that it never got to her turn. the damn bottle didn’t even land on her. the party was beginning to be anything but fun to her. she got up after a few rounds and wandered off to get a drink. at least that was her excuse since she just needed to do something to keep her mind sane.

when she sees luca, she can’t help but smile. finally, someone who was far from a bore. eyes brightened up, a wide smile and a wave came his way.“luca, hey!” her voice heightened over the music. “the game sucks, i didn’t even get a turn nor a kiss.” a laugh escaped her lips as she grabbed her jean jacket and taking two unattended cans of unopened beers then shoving it into her pockets. “yup lets go!” she grinned walking ahead of him ready to run out the door. “this place sucks.”

                  𝐀   𝐌𝐈𝐗𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄   𝐎𝐅   mild perplexity and amusement paints the student's once jaded countenance  .    ❝   You actually    wanted    to get kissed  ?   ❞   Asks Luca  ,  before an expression of     revulsion    flashes across his face as the prospect crosses his mind  .    ❝   Wouldn't really want to give my first kiss to some    drunk person    that won't even    remember    it the next day  ,  but  .  .  .  I mean  ,  you do you  .   ❞

The thrumming bass featured in the current song becomes muffled once the front door is shut behind them  ,  the faint sound of cheers  ---  no doubt elicited from another drunken kiss  ---  ebbing away into the soft song of crickets hidden throughout the cul de sac  .  The placid ambiance is a nice reprieve from the    relentless    noise Luca had spent the past few hours in  ,  that very fact causing the guy to wonder    why    ,  just    why    ,  he always ended up getting roped into going to these frat parties that would only leave him void of energy the next morning  ,  trudging along to class in a state akin to that of a zombie  ,  brain    dead    ,    dark circles    ,  and all  .

Next time  ,  for sure  ,  would be the time Luca would    finally    get the balls to say    '  no  '    when one his teammates from lacrosse would approach him with the suggestion of hitting up yet another party  .

At this point  ,  Luca and Eunbi have made it out of the cul de sac and onto the main street  ,  the sound of cars driving by drowning out the crickets that had once dominated the nighttime atmosphere  .  Luca remembers that the sidewalk they're currently heading down leads to the shopping center he frequented during late nights like these  .    ❝   So  .  .  .  are you    excited    for the showcase we're performing next month  ?   ❞    Luca asks  ,  gaze settling on Eunbi's profile  .  He knows that the dance team has been working    tirelessly    in preparation for it  ,  with all their early morning practices that stretch on for    hours    on end most days  .  Though Luca has had to sacrifice a number of hours of sleep each night because of it  ,  he wouldn't have it any other way  .

                                   “  pass  me  the  pen,  won’t  you?  “  she  asked,  with  a  rather  demanding  tone,  towards  the  stranger.  although  she  doesn’t  really  try  to  sound  like  she  was  brought  up  with  dozens  of  people  taking  care  of  her,  maids  to  be  exact,  she  had  her  moments  which  she  wasn’t  so  proud  of.  all  she  thought  about  at  this  moment  was  to  rid  and  get  all  papers  done  with  as  her  little  empire  kept  on  expanding  and  at  this  point  she  had  serious  thoughts  of  hiring  a  manager  to  deal  with  everything  she  didn’t want  to.  glancing  at  the  other  once  again,  she  frowned  for  a  while.  mia  was  deadly  sure  she  saw  him  before  and  it  definitely  wasn’t  this  place.  “  do  I  know  you?  “  she  asked,  not  sure  of  the  answer  she  was  about  to  get.  there’s  only  so  many  people  she  could’ve  known  in  the  industry.  mia  never  described  herself  as  a  shy  type,  so  encounters  like  those  never  seemed  awkward  to  her.  

       𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆   𝐓𝐎   𝐓𝐇𝐄   𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑   𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐏   with the intention of buying a bouquet and continuing on his way  ,  what Eunwoo was    not    expecting was no workers to be found anywhere amongst the flowers on display and instead  ,  the only one on the floor to be    swamped    with papers at the cashier's desk  .  Even less was the    demanding    tone that didn't match her sumptuous visage as she asked for a pen  .  Deciding that it would be a more efficient use of his time to    comply    rather than to relieve himself of the exasperation rousing within  ,  Eunwoo swiftly locates the pencil holder and silently hands her a cheap  ,  Bic pen  ,  watching as she proceeds scan and write away  .  Much to his displeasure  ,  more time ticks away when the worker lifts their gaze to rest upon him  ,  seemingly contemplating with the frown that tugs the corners of her lips down  . 

With a subtle rise of his brows  ,  Eunwoo prompts her to continue with the action  .  She asks if she knows him  .

❝   I wouldn't be surprised if you do  , ❞    He says simply  ,  hands tucking themselves into the pockets of his dress pants  .  The man had grown fidgety with all this    waiting    (   even if it was a mere five minutes that just passed   )  ,  well aware that he had a dinner to get ready for  ,  the waning time only emphasized with a look at his watch  .  This all goes out the window  ,  however  ,  when he begins to distinguish    familiar features    amid the woman's countenance  .  He's seen her somewhere  ,  but he can't quite put a finger on    where    .    ❝   Come to think of it  ,  have we met before  ?   Because you seem familiar  ,  too  .   ❞

 San had never really been the type to settle down with anyone, changing partner like he changed his underwear, yet he had stayed with her for a bit more longer than what he had intended to. He liked her company and a part of him would miss her at times, but something dark lurked at the back of his mind and he just couldn’t keep her close, it didn’t feel right. He wasn’t supposed to have anyone, no strings attached. There was a hidden part of him that lashed out at times, anger, annoyance, bitterness, it came out more often than what he intended to, yet he can’t help his outburst. It’s like someone else was controlling him from within, how schizophrenic it may sound, it didn’t feel as those emotions belonged to him, yet it did. “It was a good time, I admit as much, but all good things come to an end? Things change and life moves on, you need to move on.” He says a bit more coldly and firm, his posture straight as he looks her dead in the eye. “You need to realise that kindness doesn’t mean there is deeper feelings.” San knew it was harsh, but before he could even stop himself, the words had already fallen from his lips and he was preparing himself for another scolding coming his way, knowing fairly well that the female would not like his response.

        ❝   𝐒𝐇𝐔𝐓   𝐔𝐏  .  .  .  𝐒𝐇𝐔𝐓   𝐔𝐏  !   ❞    The yell rips through the woman's throat as she shoots up  ,  turning away from San  .  She couldn't    bear    to look at him. Not like this, when new wounds bloomed at every    word    , every    breath    that fell from his mouth  .  Old lacerations were torn away and replaced  ,  her fortress decimated from the inside out  . This all-encompassing pain is foreign to Hyejin  ---  raised in a forbidding place in which her worth depended    solely    on the success and data she brought in, she had long since been conditioned to filter out the sensation  .  It was the only way she would make it out alive  ,  after all  ----  Hyejin just never expected it to    suck    this    much    . Her vision begins to blur with tears  ,  all of which the woman strains to fight down  .  It's an effort in vain  ,  of course  ,  for a few traitorous droplets escape from the pools that gather in her eyes  ,  all of which Hyejin wipes away  .  Each drop that accumulates on the back of her hand stirs a    FURY    that burns and burns  ,  turning    white hot    as it blazes through the desolation that once beleaguered her  ,  turning it into ashes in its wake  .  Hyejin rounds on San  ,  her once pained countenance replaced with a stoic expression  ---  though  ,  one look into her eyes would be all it took for the    intensity    barely contained in her umber hues to burn those who dared to meet them  . ❝   Really now  ?   ❞    Her voice has dropped to a level just above a whisper  ,  the underlying    danger    made evident with the tension it holds  .    ❝   Or are you saying all this because you're just too   afraid    to admit that maybe  ,  just maybe there    was    deeper feelings  ?   And so you just call it    quits    every time someone makes you feel something  .  Is    that    what this is  ?   ❞

in all honestly, song is not convinced that the female has the ability to see him. the first time they met, she clearly doesn’t have her eyes open, however, after spending three days in her body, and basically inviting half of her close to death, at some point, song managed to open her eyes - unintentionally, of course. this is not the first time though, as there are instances in the past where some of the bodies he possessed end up with paranormal gifts. some accepts it wholly, others cursed him for it. song had to visit a shaman a few times to realign those lives together, thinking it would be enough of a redemption.

song wished to possess her again, and thus the reason he visited her once more. though surprised that she can see him fully now, and even had the courage to talk to him. for a second, he stared at her - doesn’t she know that he is not alive anymore? can’t she not noticed the military uniform he is trapped on for decades? that is big enough clue - and not some kind of fashion choice.

seeping through the walls, floating here and there, enough proof for her that he does not exist in the living world. but seems like the ghost have to showcase his death for her once more. song raise his hands, reaching through her face, obviously passing through.“ yeah, i am a ghost. “ he finally said, though this is not his typical way of introducing his self to others. “ i… wish to possess you again, but i respect your distaste about it. i am apologetic. “ he explained. “ but i have an urgent matter, and i really do need a body to borrow for the next… i don’t know… five hours? “

          𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒   𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐑𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆   𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓   𝐇𝐄𝐑   𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃   in a frantic attempt to make sense and simultaneously reject this realization  ,  they all come to a screeching    HALT    the moment a    chill    engulfs Via's body for a second time  .  The next moment  ,  the fact that the wraith's hand is in her face  ---  or  ,  perhaps    p a s s i n g   t h r o u g h    it was a better way to phrase the action  ---  reaches the student's comprehension  ,  and before long  ,  the icy sensation is gone along with the lingering soul's hand  ,  who retracts its respective arm  .

Okay    ,  so that crosses her theory of hallucinating off of the list  . 

It's then that the ghost's attire comes to Via's attention :  a military uniform that was certainly reminiscent of the uniforms of today with its olive color  ,  and could pass as a suit with the buttons that adorned its top piece  .  Even so  ,  the uniform wasn't as streamlined as the ones of today  ,  nor did it have the familiar cameo pattern that Via was so used to seeing on modern day soldiers  .  Such a    substantial    detail had easily    flown    over her head  ---  how could she have    missed    this  ?   Eyes finding their way back to the ghost's own  ,  a question rises above the rest :  just    how old    was this spirit  ?   From the looks of it  ,  he could be as far as    one hundred    years old  .

honestly ㅡ perhaps, a quality of his that seobi harbors for most of his life. some of his friends would often remark that his words are painful at times, but the half angel believes that it is better to speak the truth or forever hold one’s peace. it is like a habit of his, albeit over the years, seobi crafted discipline. after all, not every single being is keen into learning the truth, or his honest opinions.

Alas  ,  there was the future of the purebred angels to consider  ,  too ;  one of which was riddled with    uncertainty    and a fog too    dense    that it prevented any from truly deciphering it  .  If Stella were to turn her back on her people  ,  there's no telling whether    she'll    be the one responsible for their    demise    ---  she might as well be  ,  with the urge to succumb to her selfish heart too    tempting    to ignore  .  Nothing but    guilt    plagues the angel every time she does so much as think about choosing her own    freedom    at the expense of so many others'  . 

Her quandaries are swiftly    w a s h e d   a w a y    at the sight of Seobi's smile  ,  however  ---  the sight was endearing with the way it    softened    out the edges to Seobi's once    rancorous    countenance  ,  and the crown princess would be    lying    if she said she didn't wish to capture this fleeting moment if only to see his smile again  ,  and again  ,  and    again    . 

Then to hear that her visits were anything but a nuisance to the new arrival, her company    pleasant    rather than vexing  ,  stirs a    warmth    ---  a    happiness    within the angel  ---  that there's nothing left but a bright smile to take over her refined visage  .    ❝   I'm glad  ,   ❞    She says  ,  softly  ,  slowly  ,  so as to not shatter the    placid    atmosphere between them  .

If Bo hadn’t been quite as oblivious as he was, maybe he would’ve realised that Iseul was uncomfortable with the amount of people staring at them but honestly, he had absolutely no idea. He didn’t even realise who she was or that other people would know her too. To him, she was just a kind and pretty human he’d stumbled across drinking a delicious drink and that alone was enough to keep him smiling. After all, he knew all too well that most humans nowadays weren’t kind. Most of them ended up down in Hell at the end of the day.

When he felt a hand grab his wrist, he immediately turned back, blinking at her in surprise. His head tilted as it always did, not too unlike a curious puppy, before humming for a moment in thought at the question. Where would he get the money from? He could ask Min, but he didn’t want to disturb him… Maybe he could go and find where Dae lived and ask him instead…

“I’ll work it out!” he beamed, “I saw some pennies on the way here, I’ll go get those! How many pennies do I need to get a coffee? Two? Three? I think if I search a little longer I could even find 10… I’m really good at sniffing them out.”

             𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇   𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃   𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇   ,  Iseul listens attentively to the boy's answer  .  So  .  .  .  no  ,  there were no plans of pick-pocketing  ,  nor any plans for bank-robbing in the near future  ,  she realizes  ,  the thought expelling the tension from her shoulders and the panic in her eyes through a relieved sigh  .  Unfortunately  ,  a reprieve was far from reach considering how she had just been roped into looking after what was essentially a giant    baby    trapped in the body of a lanky  ,  teenage boy  .  He was clueless  ,    far    too clueless to be left to his own devices  ,  and though Iseul had never been viewed or acted as a motherly figure amongst her friends  ,  something about the boy makes the idol want to take him under her wing  . 

❝   No  ,  silly  ,  you're going to need a bit more than    pennies     to get some coffee  .   ❞    Iseul stands  ,  her height only reaching the boy's eyes at best  ,  but was more than enough to catch the curious    (   and a handful of exasperated   )    stares directed their way  .    ❝   Come with me  - - -  we'll get you a coffee  ,  but it'll have to be at someplace other than    here    .   ❞ 

She maintains her gentle grasp on the boy's wrist as she guides them out of the café  ,  ducking her head in apology to the onlookers along the way  .  Before long  ,  the two are free from the stifling atmosphere of the café  ,  and it’s then that Iseul relinquishes her hold on the other’s wrist.

❝   By the way, what’s your name  ?   ❞    She asks  ,  setting off to the nearest café whilst keeping her gaze on the boy to ensure that he was following  .    ❝   I’m Iseul  .   ❞    Though she was never one to throw her name about carelessly  ,  Iseul figured it wouldn't hurt to reveal it to the boy  .  It had become increasingly evident with his initial inability to identify coffee  ,  lack of knowledge when it came to the fact that coffee was bought with    dollars    ,  not pennies  ,  and peculiar mannerisms that he wouldn't know who she was  .  At least  ,  Iseul hoped  .
