That’s my last post guys… I hope you liked and entertained my last publications
The last but not least is my hobby which is dancing. As I said in my previous post, dancing is my passion, my motivation, I am not a professional, but I can dance all kinds of dance as: Hip Hop, R&B, dancehall, Latin, afrobeat etc.
In my group I was the teacher, the one who created the choreographies and then taught them to the rest.
Its not easy to be the choreographer you have a lot of tasks to do, it was very complicated because you had to go one by one, teaching steps, repeating them over and over again, that it coordinated and that they all danced at the same time, create the songs that surprised people, mix the music, create the theme that entertains people and at the same time find the right clothes for the occasion and the dance.
But of course, all that is worth it later, because when you dance it and see the people faces, cheering, having fun it is priceless.
But now that we are not longer together each one continues dancing on her own, I for example dance on tik tok, Instagram and even Facebook and sometimes here in Glasgow, also go to socials where you meet new people dancing music that I like how it is Latin music like bachata, salsa, merengue and reggaeton.
Today I’m going to talk about what I would like to achieve in my life, my goals, expectations etc
We know everyone has a dream and goals, since we were little or something that we have always liked and we would like to do or experience.
In my case, always since I was little I have had 3 dreams to be a photography model, dancer and event organizer…
I’m working on it, like everything in this life, if you want to get something, fight for it.
I had a dance group in Spain called the blackies, we have always danced at weddings, communions, birthdays and baptism. We separated because we all went to other places to continue with new life.
Event organizer, I’m working on it… as I said before this year its my first year studying and I hope that when I finish ill find work for it.
Finally, being a photography model is because I think I have the potential to do it, I like photos, I know how to pose and I have always liked that world… it is difficult, its not an easy track, because some agencies are very strict and others are not so serious, apart form the fact that there is a long queue of thousands of people who also try to enter… but here I am, day after day fighting for it.
“Cooking”
Today I want to share other of my hobbies with you and that is “cooking” is one of my favourites and I’m not a chef either but I am good at it.
The type of dishes that I like to cook are African, Italian and Spanish ones, every day I try to improvise new flavours or I try to learn another type of food, more elaborate. I want to show you one of my favourite African food, it called “Okra”. It’s not that complicated to make but it does contain a variety of food… not everyone does it the same, some add fish, other chicken others even crab it depends on the taste of each person.
The okra is a vegetable, a health vegetable that contains minerals, vitamins and low calorie.
It consists of okra, spinach, crayfish meat and egusi, I intentionally do not include oil because that contains a boat load of calories which does not add flavour or texture to this meal.
I use stew beef and also smoked fish, crayfish is optional in this recipe, normally it can be accompanied with rice, plantain or fufu, in my case I like to eat it with rice.
This recipe was taught to me by my mother as among many.
I hope you try at home and enjoy it like me.
Daily Routine
Hey guys this is me again, another week and another day!!
Today I wanted to share with you part of my daily routine and so you guys know me a little bit routinely.
This week for example, the fact we were are teaching via zoom has changed, so it kind of allows me to do more things at home than usual.
I always get up 45 minutes before class starts, I do my morning washing and once I have done it I prepare my breakfast and then I wait to for the class start… after class, I try to make myself lunch before I go to the gym. I usually exercise between 1h 30 almost 2h.
In the gym I have my daily routine, from Monday to Friday, although I do not go every day, but the days that I go means that I have to work what corresponds to that day.
After gym and it depends of the day, I back home or I go straight to work.
If it’s a normal day then I go straight back home and then I drink my proteins milkshake and I take a shower.
Once I finish my shower I use to relax myself, call my family in Spain, text with my friends while I watch my favourite series and then I do my dinner and go to sleep.
It may sound boring, but in general that’s what I do, obviously, when I go social, things change already on weekends or when I’m on vacation, but in general I do that.

Why do I like to do exercise? Well, there are many reasons why I exercise… first of all I use it as a relaxation tool, why?
In this year there have been too many changes in my life, which generates mental and physical stress for me, for years about 5 years or more, I finished studying in Spain, being all the time glued to a book to after examining me and approving to be able to pass the course, I already left it in the past, because I entered the world of work, yes, waking up and going to do a job to pay debts or the fact of working to live it is also a stress but very different.
So, having to study and work at the same time is new for me and more, when it is a language that is not mine.
Well, that usually causes me anxiety and my way to avoid that is by going to the gym.
Another reason why I go, logically is to keep me physically well and for health.
“Being physically well” means being happy with oneself, even if it includes doing cosmetics touch-ups or going to the gym.
And “Health” because improve your coordination, your strength and resistance, more flexibility, improve your diet, reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases etc
That’s why I love to go to the gym… I could tell you more than these reasons but I think these two are the main ones.
Introduction
Hello, my name is Esther I'm 25 years old and I have lived here in Glasgow for 4 years now. I was born in Spain/Alicante and I came here with my older sister to work.
Since I have been living here in UK, this year (2021) is my first time studying, I have always been a worker and I have not had this opportunity to study until now.
I’m at the City of Glasgow College, studying NQ Events level 6 and I like it, I hope in the future to work as a wedding planner somewhere, be it here or another city.
How I have learnt English? Very simple, watching Netflix, always with English subtitles, talking to people, listening music etc
I’m still learning, but I think I’ve improved a lot so far…
Apart from studying, I also work, like everyone else and the truth is that I thought it would be more complicated, but for now I’m doing well…
So, I will dedicate this blog to talk about my daily routine which includes my hobbies (dance, working out, cook, travel etc) talking about what I usually do in my free time and what distracts me and I like to do when I find space for myself.
