I never got over anything. I miss everyone and everything. nostalgia and grief kill me every day. oh and I also love going on walks.

I've been thinking about this all day.

[ID: “‘What, precisely, will you grieve for?’ For the river. For myself, my lost joyfulness. For the children who will not know what a river can be—a friend, a companion, a hint of heaven.” end ID]
i don’t think people understand how much of life is grief. not just people dying, but losing the version of yourself you thought you’d become. grieving the city you had to leave. the friends you lost not in argument, but in silence. the summer that will never come back. the feeling that maybe you peaked at 12 when you were reading books under the covers and believing in forever
"Everything that needs to be said has
already been said. But, since no one was
listening, everything must be said again."
- André Gide (1869 -1951)
The Kansas Chief, Troy, Kansas, October 5, 1899
upgrade your life by taking note of the objects you use most and slowly replace them with the most beautiful and high-quality versions of those things you can find.
"Inside, we’re ageless. And when we talk to ourselves, it’s the same person we were talking to, the same age, when we were little, and it’s the body that’s changing around that ageless center." -David Lynch
