Suddenly separated by hundreds of miles and pushed into the cold harsh world; two girls must form a blog. They will use it bring to the internet the thoughts and rants previously shared over cups of coffee. While battling the responsibilities of real life they will overcome impossible odds to keep in touch.

A little bit of everything.

We officially stink at keeping a schedule and stuff. Both of our lives are pretty busy right now. Sierra is hard at work learning and I’m hard at work trying to dig myself out of debt. 

That being said, we hung out a bit over Halloween. It was really great to see her. We watched some creepy movie, some Harry Potter and had homemade food. 

I’ve been moving and applying for jobs like crazy. My goal is to work and save as much money as possible so that I can do the AmeriCorps project, then come home and go straight back to school. 

In other random news, the farm has a new calf named Ruby. And my brother left for basic. Thanks giving is coming up, so I’m going to start doing a ‘What I’m thankful for’ thing I think to keep you all occupied.

AmeriCorps

I’ve applied to AmeriCorps, which is the Peace Corps only you stay on US soil. I think I’ll be leaving in April with any luck. I’m super excited about it. I’ve applied to mostly projects involving kids or special needs individuals. There are a few however that are more office type jobs, working with the organizations doing the ground work. 

If this does happen it’s going to be a huge change.... one year of devoting my life to a cause, working without pay, and being away from home. That being said, I think it’s exactly what I need to do for myself right now. So wish me luck guys!!!

Bad Dreams

I know... I haven’t been posting. My bad. 

Anyway, we don’t have a topic or anything, but here’s some of the many bad dreams I’ve had in the last month. 

- The one where everything I had plugged in lit on fire and burned down my friends house. Including the coffee maker...

- The one where my best friend forgets every fandom, book, website, and movie that she has ever been a part of, enjoyed, read, watched, or visited. 

- The one where my mom pays some weird girl I went to high school with to tattoo stars on my butt, forcefully. Then I end up with mistakes all up my back. 

- The one where my mom comes to visit me, my brother, and grandparents in the ghetto abandoned Nazi camp we are for some reason living in, and sings songs from Mama Mia. 

I’m not sure but maybe I should go back to therapy.... lol Joking.

The Sunday News

My life is as always in flux. Probably moving here in a few weeks. Going to say goodbye to my brother this coming weekend. And trying to keep myself sane. Excited to see Sierra next weekend too... I’ve been have some pretty bizarre dreams. 

And like my life, the world is in flux... So here’s a little world update for those of you who haven't checked recently. (I’ll try and keep this funny) 

South Carolina is flooded... nope that’s not funny. Some guy shot a bunch of people, then killed himself. Russia is still attacking Syria. Trump wants to arm teachers. Okay. So none of that is funny. I can’t even make jokes out of it. It’s a painful reminder that this world is a little messed up. And so my new advice is go inside and stay there. 

Not really. 

But be safe guys

A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management to an audience. As she raised a glass of water, everyone expected they’d be asked the “half empty or half full” question. Instead, with a smile on her face, she inquired: “How heavy is this glass of water?”

Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz.

She replied, “The absolute weight doesn’t matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it’s not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I’ll have an ache in my arm. If I hold it for a day, my arm will feel numb and paralyzed. In each case, the weight of the glass doesn’t change, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.”

She continued, “The stresses and worries in life are like that glass of water. Think about them for a while and nothing happens. Think about them a bit longer and they begin to hurt. And if you think about them all day long, you will feel paralyzed – incapable of doing anything.”

Remember to put the glass down.

Thoughts for October

Hello everyone. 

We haven't set a topic or anything....

So I guess I just want to be all sentimental. 

Its been just under a year since my life kind of got a little messy. At the time I thought it was more than I could take. Since then... I’ve been through more than I can describe. I have also proven to myself that I am stronger than I ever imagined. 

October is my new year. And I’m really excited. I’m crazy in debt, scared out of my mind, stressed to the max, and tired as new born baby... but I’m ready for another new start.
