We don't talk enough about how FINE he was in the Leave Me Alone mv
defending michael on internet isn’t enough, i need a gun.
fuck netflix and fuck all of you guys who are abandoning mike after this nasty documentary.
netflix isn’t innocent! after the biopic was released, everyone now wants to have a piece of michael to profit, he’s INNOCENT, everyone already knows and coming back and talking about these accusations years later and making a documentary about it is ridiculous, disrespectful and disgusting! worse, releasing this doc in JUNE.
Michael didn't deserve and doesn't deserve to go through this, let him rest in peace, he's already suffered a lot here on earth. May God bless him and may the world be a better place.
a little reminder since yall wanna watch that fuckass netflix documentary anyway
edit: oh and another thing, try and come into my ask box on anon to debate this, I will block you effectively and immediately bc I don’t listen to bullshit and won’t argue with stupid people either. - adding this to the original post since some of you wanna act a fool. 🪽
You have to admit that Michael sharing beds with kids is just a bad look, and he should have known that
Bro. That’s such a vague statement with no context but I’m gonna break it down for you later lmaoooo. No one is saying random ass adults should be around kids unsupervised and without any trust/relation built. BUT CONTEXT MATTERS HERE. The fact here is that Michael WAS TRUSTED by these people who saw him as family. And the man preferred to sleep in a fucking sleeping bag or on the floor! He befriended these entire families not just the children. So let’s remember all the details and not just have selective memory, okay? Michael didn’t invite kids into his room and he knew these children through friends, family, or through business. And he is not the first or only man to act fatherly or like a big brother to children. That’s not a crime dude. That old ass “Michael Jackson sleeps in beds with little boys” headline has got you in a damn chokehold doesn’t it?? Propaganda brainwashing.
And now let’s get real. Michael Jackson was never a threat to society. If anything, he united the world through his music and only preached about spreading unconditional love and compassion. He was morally good for the public. But he was a threat to the white American media machine. And him being a humanitarian and wanting to fucking heal the world doesn’t sell. So the used ANYTHING they could to ruin that reputation. And what’s something that can easily be twisted into something sexual and criminal? Being in any proximity to children, especially as a black man. While the real predators were white men in suits in hiding, the world pointed its fingers at the sparkly man who built an amusement park for sick and underprivileged kids. It was so easy for them to create this caricature out of someone trying to heal their inner child, while also advocating for kids. He was a black man with a soft voice, a skin condition, and who didn’t fit their bill for what a black man in America should look like. So they brainwashed a whole generation with this idea of him being a weird predator. All for profit.
Also- Western cultures associate beds with sexual activities. Michael didn’t think that way and made it very clear that he viewed a bed as a place to sleep, and it’s society that wanted to believe it’s something sexual. Let’s not forget that literally how Michael was raised in a big ass family, sharing beds and often sleeping at other people’s houses. Though it caused backlash- Michael repeatedly would admit to allowing kids to sleep in his room but not for criminal reasons. He was so vocal about it because he GENUINELY WAS NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG OR VIOLATING BOUNDARIES. He had NOTHING TO HIDE. And interviewers used that against him to act like he was bragging about it. In reality, he truly didn’t see anything wrong with what he was saying and that’s not his damn fault that people twisted his words to seem immoral.
He never invited kids into his bed, they wanted to be around his safe energy and the parents gave permission and were allowed in the damn rooms themselves. Michael’s room was a communal place for anyone to hang out and fall asleep. Nothing more.
Also: Michael felt that it was his divine calling with his platform to protect and care for ALL kids, so him being around them all the time was the perfect storm for tabloid journalism to attack him. He had a terrible male figure in his life so I would understand why he felt so compelled to be a protective figure for all children. Michael expressed directly how extreme trauma and the robbery of his own childhood made him empathetic to the suffering of ALL kids and their psychology through development. “I feel their pain.”
He quite literally did not see children as anything other than innocent human beings and the world couldn’t fathom that a man could be around kids and NOT abuse them. While it’s socially considered “different” for men to be nurturing towards kids and allow them to fall sleep in their room- it’s NOT criminal by default and anyone that calls him guilty just based on sleeping arrangements aren’t looking at the nuances of his life. He didn’t live in the same reality we all did and he is not guilty just because YOU think he’s weird. Can you possibly consider that just maybe Michaels brain didn’t have the ability to think in that disgusting way??? As Michael said, “They’ve never been where I’ve been mentally.”
Michael viewed everything from a point of love and innocence when it came to children as a response to his own childhood trauma. Social boundaries and rules are a very grey area, especially when looking from the outside. And that’s what most guilters forget, is context and nuance. Now tell me why a literal musical genius and intelligent ass man with decades of media experience is going to purposely draw attention to himself in a bad way and admit to allowing kids to sleep in his room if he was guilty? Why would he want to lose his entire legacy over that?? He explicitly said if the parent trusts them and knows them, because that’s literally the context of his own situations! He knew these entire families and had a level of friendship or relation with them.
Because of his own upbringing, he was extremely empathetic to children’s safety and their happiness- making him LESS likely to harm a child than some random dude down the street. His unique relationship to childhood (literally lived a life that no one else in the world can relate to on any level) and the isolating bubble he lived in automatically makes him different from just any “other dude”, so we can’t really hold him to standards of what “normal” is. He was very vocal that the only thing he was guilty of was trusting the wrong people.
Lastly, even IF society (like you anon) views certain things at face value as weird or different: it doesn’t make him a criminal. If that was the case so many other people in this world would be locked up for the same damn thing. Y’all can’t stand that Michael was actually a man with a moral conscience. Period. “Sharing beds with kids wasn’t a good look” yeah well the media found a way to demonize him for every damn thing he did, regardless of the specific context of the situations. They would accuse him of being a predator even just standing NEXT to child.
Michael said it’s not a good idea to be around kids if you are a damn predator, and he was NOT one. No matter what he said, it was gonna look bad because that’s how tabloid media works. He was attacked by white media for just existing most of the time, but yall don’t wanna talk about that do you? I’m not gonna sit here and blame Michael for not knowing in foresight that the media and interviewers would absolutely defame and assasinate his character. Michael told y’all time and time again that he was targeted and misunderstood on purpose. This man went on a whole ass humiliating trial in front of the world (that destroyed his mental and physical health) just to prove his innocence. That should be enough. He is innocent and that’s the only thing that matters. Not your damn suspicions. 🖤🖤🖤🖤

Michael Jackson | Bad Era
currently in progress of writing a rue x fem reader fanfic
smile.
. 𖥔 ݁ ┆ platonic jaafar jackson & reader
౿┆summary : nearing the end of filming for the michael sequel, you've been extremely emotional, especially considering you're a producer, you're practically a part of it. lucky for you, jaafar's always around.
౿┆fluff, female reader, childhood friend jaafar, reader is michael's goddaughter, written in third person pov, no use of 'y/n', reader is mentioned to be an actress/singer.
cry was all she could do the past few weeks.
it seemed pathetic to her, but at the same time, this was a huge deal, working as a producer for this movie was a blessing. she couldn't have asked for anything more fulfilling than to work on her own godfather's biopic.
what was more exciting was that her best friend, michael's own nephew, was playing him. honestly, they couldn't have asked for a better role. he was amazing.
she was something of an actress herself, but she preferred singing, ever since she was younger, it's what she's always wanted to be, just like her godfather.
he would've been proud. there was no doubt about that.
he would've been proud of both her and jaafar, of course. that's what made her so emotional.
she'd helped work on the first movie for a while, which is also where she met juliano for the first time, he adored her, whilst her on the other hand thought he was just plain adorable.
jaafar was a different subject. she'd known him since they were kids together. growing up with him was definitely a story, one she'd 100% be happy to tell.
the correct term would be 'god-cousin' for both of them, even though they felt much more like siblings than just friends.
he was practically her brother in all but blood.
michael had always felt like a second father to her, so it kind of fits.
. ✦ ݁˖
wrapping up the sequel's filming, she'd been crying. a lot.
a lot lot.
especially since they were filming the this is it era, which is where she actually knew michael. so, the memories came flooding back in.
she was sitting on one of the stage steps, her face was still a bit stained from earlier even though her tear streaks had dried.
jaafar then came up, and sat next to her.
"how're you feeling?" he asked.
she sniffled, smoothing out the dryness that her tears had left on her skin. "better." she replied, still looking down at the floor. "sorry for being so.. emotional.”
"don't apologize. i'm sure a lot of people here understand," jaafar reassured. "i know i do."
she looked over at him, nodding her head. "o’course i do." she said.
her lips curled up into a smile. and he smiled back.
god, he really did smile like his uncle.
.✦ ݁˖
she’d seen jaafar preform a lot of michael’s songs from the first movie, and leading up to the second one.
and hearing earth song, which was the last song michael preformed, she lost it.
there she was. tears, again. completely breaking down. she hadn’t seen michael preform this specific bit herself, but hearing it was still painful.
she could tell a lot of other people on set had the same reaction as her. it was michael’s last rehearsal, and the last day of filming.
she was grieving a lot, practically going through the five stages of grief. there wasn’t really anything she could do to stop her emotions from getting the better of her, all she could do was cry and grieve.
some people would say that it’s ‘not a big deal, it’s only a movie’. but to her, it wasn’t. she knew michael, since she was little, she’s always looked up to him, she loved him as if he were her family. truth be told, he really was.
and so, hours after filming, she was still battling with her emotions, sitting on the stairs outside of the building.
jaafar walked over, and sat down next to her. “hey,” he said.
she pursed her lips into a thin line, attempting to force a smile, which didn’t work.
jaafar noticed, yet he remained silent.
she ducked her head down, she could feel her throat closing up, a familiar feeling she got every time she was about to break down into tears.
“i’m—” her voice wavered, she was about to apologize again, but there was really no point. “i just—god, i miss him. i miss him so much.”
she’d been crying all day, she thought she looked absolutely pathetic and miserable.
jaafar wrapped his arm around her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder at an attempt to soothe her. lucky for him, it was working.
instinctively, she leaned her head on his shoulder, something she always did ever since they were young.
“i do too.” he uttered softly.
slowly, she lifted her head, wiping her tears with her sweater sleeve, which had already been stained unsurprisingly.
then—she smiled, a genuine, tender smile. and he mirrored it.
"thanks, j," she said. "honestly, i don't know what i'd do without you."
truly, she really didn't.
happy pride month to all the queer moonwalkers/mj fans out there! you are seen & you are valid ♡
if i made a platonic jaafar fanfic would yall read it
