Legos!
The Lego bin has been the most consistently played with toy in our home. When we get Lego kits, they eventually get recycled and go into the bin for parts. Never ending possibilities.

Backyard Camping.
We couldn’t make it to our usual summer camp spot, so we brought the camping to our backyard ⛺️
(Summer 2024)
Family Hikes/Walks.
This summer we tried to get outside and moving as much as possible; in the woods, through trails and on tracks.
(Summer 2024)
Pizza Making Contest.
Kids got to make their own pizza. They had a blast but got a little too competitive 🤣
(Dec 2024)
Making Bracelets.
We hosted a playdate and broke out the bead kit. Everyone got to make a bracelet with their name in it💗
(March 2025)
Painting Wood/Shells.
They got several kits like this for Christmas, perfect for those winter days inside.
(Feb 2025)
Science Experiments.
What helps a seed grow? We picked up a mini greenhouse kit to test this question. The kids chose 5 different household substances (beer included 🤣) to test. (Spoiler: plain old water works best!)
(February 2025)
Black light party.
Turned out to be a hit theme! Add black lights and let kids loose in the basement 🖤
(December 2024)
Puzzle Mania.
Somehow this Feb break puzzles became the rage. We must have done every puzzle we own, some of them twice! They worked well independently and as a team. Mama was brought in to assist with the 300 piece one.
(Feb 2025)
Black light party.
A few black light bulbs turned our basement into a totally new space for them.

Dam Building.
(Summer 2024)
Kinetic sand still a hit. It comes out a little less often these days, but it’s still a hit when it does.
(March 2025)
The grass is lava!

New Play Space!
Our unfinished basement provided lots of opportunities for gross motor development and physical activity. They rode bikes and roller skated down there. There was a trampoline and a little slide. But with the basement reno, much of that went away. So we added this climbing wall to save floor space and maintain the same level of physical activity. (Feb 2023)
Model magic.
Fun with model magic. Our model magic had gotten a little dried out and I suspected I may have to throw it out. But i was able to revive it with a little bit of water and a short stint in the microwave. (Feb 2023)
