Howdy! My most recent project has been beset by the Bad Idea Bug insisting i can animate a walk cycle for Blacklight Pomni for an animatic ive been working on. The Bug is a lying traitorous Snake, ive never even tried making a normal walk cycle, let alone bodyhorror humanoid quadruped. I cant believe i keep falling for it.

Incase its not obvious, Evil ragatha is my favourite by far. Girly is my ride or die. The things fanon ER does and goes through are some of the closest cutting representation ive ever seen for my specific Thing. Other projects are in the works for her/fanon AUs of her, recently ive been loving Girl So Confusing and Me Inside Of Me in place of drawing her.
The animatic is actually mostly done! Except it needs to be cleaned, lined and (god forbid) rendered due to a couple scenes with important lighting details. So in other words its nowhere close XD im chipping away at it on my lunch breaks.
I do like a challenge, though! Ive always wanted to animate, it feels weird to be kickstarting a lifelong dream via TADC fan projects, but this community makes me want to be better. Did i think that would involve trying to recreate a lemurs walk via a skewed youtube video no not even a little bit, but i desperately needed something with vaguely human legs and arms to base her movement on.
I am blessed that stardraw123 made a beautiful walk cycle for ragatha ive been playing on loop as a reference, though how successful ive been in absorbing a fraction of its power is debatable.
Im aware a walk cycle is supposed to have 2 pass points and 2 planted points (one for each foot), and theres an up-down to the motion, but lil miss cartoon hooves is making it difficult to find resources that arent just her. Right now shes a bit bouncy for the refined walk i want, and i have no idea what to do with the nearside pass point + low dress, but im happy to be creating anything at all! Everyones gotta start somewhere.
An abandoned WIP for the Reevaknight fic that had us all collectively sobbing for like a week straight. I like the blocking/perspectives on this one (and the windows acting like stars, it made me think of the two headed cow poem) but i realised quickly there would be no getting around lighting this bad boy if i wanted it presentable :(
