HIS BLUSH DOESN’T GO AWAY EASILY. steve knows bucky’s teasing him ; sometimes it feels like that’s his friend’s favorite past-time. and in a way, he loves the teasing. he knows it comes from a place of love and that it’s bucky’s way of showing affection. still, the idea that he could be drawing naked dames in his sketchbook makes him blush. he rolls his eyes in response and heads over to the table. he sits down and savors the smell of the hot dog. it doesn’t happen often that they’re able to have this pleasure. he’s going to savor it for all it’s worth. ❝ thank you for this, buck. ❞ he tells him sincerely while the other is busy chewing. just as he thinks his flush is going away, it reawakens at bucky’s next words. he gives a soft sound and takes a bite of his hot dog in lieu of answering. finally he has to say something, and after he swallows he sighs. ❝ i don’t know, bucky. i’m sure you could, but … i don’t want to bring you, or her down. ‘m sure she’s a nice lady, and she doesn’t deserve that. ❞

            AFTER TAKING ANOTHER generous bite from the hot dog, bucky's brow threads when the blond gives his negative response to the idea of a double date.  sure, the times they've tried it in the past haven't worked out so well, but bucky doesn't want to give up.  in his eyes steve is a catch ; and one day someone else will see that, too.  “ ...what? ”  doesn’t want to bring them down?  the lack of belief steve appears to have in himself when it comes to this stuff is sad to see.  “ c'mon, steve.  what the hell kinda attitude is that? ”  he reaches across the table, squeezing steve's slender shoulder in reassurance ; his way of conveying affection.  “ jus' give it a chance.  you're not gonna know if y'don't even try. ”

.｡*ﾟ+.｡.:*☆ *.｡       PERHAPS UNFORTUNATE CONVERSATION   ;   to speak of delicious savors straight after stamina inducing sprints,    cobbles surely holding imprint of sneakers pounding park,    veil of sweat that shrouds form evidence enough of adequate exercise.    calories burned that should not be instantly replaced by sweet treats   –   no matter how much they tempt,   tempt,  tempt like snake within adam  &  eve’s glorious garden.   on the other hand,   perhaps it is the perfect antidote to salivating hunger   &  the grumble of need within stomach.    that now   ??    craves beautiful bakes crafted by the younger man’s hands.    idiotic,   how you have never indulged in sawyer’s offerings before    (   even if knowledge churns strong:   they will be nothing short of perfection.   &   your mother would be proud   –   )    ,      perhaps no grander time than this very moment   ??    stomach empty   &   hunger reaching fever pitch.       ❝   how about now  ??     ‘cause honestly,   all this talk of food is driving me insane.  ❞   emerald hues glisten in gaze towards the other,   right hand patting gently ‘pon shirt-covered stomach.     ❝     just   –    it’s not a lemon centric bakery,   right   ??    sawy ‘n’ his lemons isn’t the best combo  …   ❞    nor the best unintentional innuendo,  mister hunt   !!

            THE IRONY ( AND LIKELY FOOLISHNESS ) of discussing cookies and cakes immediately after a strenuous workout is not lost on sawyer.  but for him, it's commonplace. the only reason he even sticks to this jogging thing is to earn the right to gobble up sugary treats at will.  and the metabolism speed built up through frequent exercise doesn't hurt either.  still, ethan looks as though he could get away with devouring a few things without suffering much detriment to his physique.             the baker's brows raise as the suggestion of going there right now is posed, but he can't say it's a bad idea.  despite his obvious surprise, lips form a jesting smirk.  “ ...mission accomplished.  i was playing you —— trying to win a new customer right from the start. ”  he rises to his feet then, offering a hand to ethan to help him up; despite being the smaller of the pair.  “ don't worry; i promise you’ll be safe from the lemons. ”

In that moment, Bucky couldn’t quite remember how this little ‘game’ had come up but he was more than eager to play. Either way, it’d end in both their favors but Bucky’s competitive side demanded he be the one to ‘win’. “Oh, I know the rules, and I will love to see you lose.” Watching TJ strip, Bucky was impressed the other man was already hard. Okay, this may be more difficult than he anticipated. Still, he had the patience and restraint to not cave immediately. 

Settling onto the bed alongside TJ, Bucky’s laid with his head towards the foot of the bed, feet beside the pillows to get the best vantage point. He laid on his side which didn’t help to camouflage the semi beginning to tent his jeans. Bucky licks his lips as TJ begins touching himself. It feels dirty and voyeuristic and that makes it that much more arousing. The eye contact though… that makes his dick twitch in his pants. He tries to keep up his best poker face but his eyes are dark and hungry, already enjoying the show TJ’s putting on. “You look good like this.”

TJ’s moans shake Bucky down to the bone and he wonders if TJ has any experience playing this little game because he’s making all the right moves. That little confession has him drawing in a ragged breath, he could feel every muscle in his body tightening and his dick was fully hard and throbbing. It’s only losing if they touch one another, so Bucky sits up for a moment, rapidly stripping down before settling back into his spot on the bed. “That the only time you jerked off thinking about me?” It was playing dirty but Bucky had to know. “I mighta pictured your mouth on me a time or two.” 

            DESPITE HIS GROWING desire and depleting self-control, t.j is trying to keep his eyes on the prize.  victory.  maybe both of them will win and keep their hands to themselves, but whatever happens, t.j doesn't want to be the one to break.  they can always fool around properly later, and he tells himself that whenever his pleasure spikes and his body repeatedly calls out for bucky's touch; and to touch the ex-assassin in return.  surprisingly, he hasn't done this for a partner very often before now, but he's doing a good job of hiding his slight nerves in lieu of wanting to fluster bucky.  besides, there’s something about being watched that turns him on and heightens his enjoyment, anyway.             one corner of his mouth tugs into a pleased, maybe even slightly smug smirk following the other male's praise.  “ i'm counting on it, babe. ”  the look in bucky's eyes is giving him a new level of confidence, in any case.  if he can have that effect, he's satisfied.  he can't resist letting his eyes briefly drift toward bucky's crotch; thrilled by the increasingly prominent outline he can already make out.  that's when he moans and shudders, breathing bucky's name and making his honest confession —— the reaction it elicits from bucky is entirely worth it.               surprised crystal blues watch as bucky suddenly shifts, but fill with realization after the first item of clothing is shed.  soon t.j is treated to the tempting sight of a fully naked bucky, which increases the speed of his strokes for a moment, tongue wetting his lips in pure appreciation as he rakes over the guy's form.  “ ...i hate you. ”  it's said with a light-hearted whine, t.j having to accept that the game just became a lot more balanced.  maybe even tipped in bucky's favor, as one look at his length and t.j wants to plant himself right in bucky's lap.             but the rules really are only to not touch each other, and anything else is allowed. besides, can he really complain about getting to see bucky like this?  it's like he won the boyfriend lottery.  don't lose the game.  don't lose the game.  the question brings a vaguely breathless laugh from the first son, gaze flickering back to meet bucky's.  “ ...nope. ”  his strokes slow down.  “ after the first time, you were all i could think about. ”  why go back when there's no better than bucky?  t.js abdomen tightens as another shiver courses through him; and another when the ex-soldier makes a confession of his own.  “ god.  you and me both. ”  once more he's staring between bucky's thighs, biting his lip.  then he's grinning darkly again.  “ ...it could happen, you know.  right now.  all you have to do is give in. ”

            The tension in the air seemed to slowly DISSIPATE, and the veteran found himself relaxing, leaning back against the booth. T.J.’s question made him smile, “ I’d like to think we’re more than just okay. ” Hopefully they still would be, even when he spilled the BEANS about his own sordid history, and the other male wouldn’t go running for the hills.

            To show that he really meant it, though, he leaned over the table to brush his lips against the other mans cheek in a brief KISS. Sitting back down, he glanced back down at the menu, “ Oh! They have a list of different tea here, including jasmine tisane. ” He’d never noticed before, having only been in once or twice; but HERBAL TEA, he’d found, helped some of the inflammation he felt in his left shoulder where plain old Tylenol didn’t.

            “ I think I’ll order that and MAYBE try the Crème Caramel—do you know what you’d like? ” He asked, looking up with a sunny smile. It felt good to be out again, around other people… ESPECIALLY with T.J.

            AND NOW T.J LETS HIMSELF feel that sense of relief.  the worst is out of the way; no longer stuck firmly in the back of his throat, hesitant to make it past his lips.  bucky knows what he's taking on —— dark side and all —— and it immediately puts t.j back into the kind of relaxed state that allows him to be himself.  he grabs bucky's hand one more time and kisses it with more genuine affection than he had on arrival.  then comes the veteran's lips to his own cheek, leaving just a hint of pink behind; something he will not be admitting to.             “ ...jasmine tisane?  you sound like my mom, ” the former first son can’t resist teasing, eyes shifting from bucky to the list of beverages.  “ um... ”  he spots his choice drink and puts the menu aside.  “ vanilla latte. ”  looking up to the other male again, t.j is almost floored by the ADORABLE beam on bucky's face.  too cute to resist; so he leans forward a little, lowering his tone.  “ ......and a side order of hot, sweet russian. ”
