IT’S MY GIRL!!!!!
it’s my sunshine!
I haven’t drawn in a while but my partner gave me some ideas to get back into the swing of it. Mixing my enjoyment of FF with a casual aesthetic.
My girl, Yuna <3

if there was anyone in the world who could understand, no doubt it’d be her, but still her agreement puts him at ease. sharing the experience with someone makes him less feel like he could just open his eyes and be back on the farplane some day – it keeps him grounded.
he watches her fall back and it brings him back to that day in the calm lands. despite what her journey had ultimately meant she had made the most of every place she visited. things were different now – she didn’t have to catch moments in her hands to feel like she was living, she could do that very thing now and live to the absolute fullest. he takes the offered hand to take the seat beside her and wastes no time in falling to his back, arms spread in the grass and his hand lingering over hers.
❝ oh, like this – i gotcha now. ❞ he lets out a laugh and closes his eye, allowing this atmosphere to fully sink in. ❝ i think this is something i could get used to. ❞
moments like these once felt stolen; fragments of time better spent pressing forward. were someone to ask (if she were honest in her answer), the momentum was almost comforting in that it allowed little time for her thoughts to carry her elsewhere.
now, though— now her mind is free to wander and her time is her own. and the same could be said for him, the one beside her, who never seemed overly troubled with the thoughts of others and even granted her some practice in living for herself.
it’s still not easy. she’s learning as she goes. but with the sun above and his hand over hers only adding to the warmth, she cannot deny the eased airiness of her breaths or the calm of her muscles.
(it’s nice.)
“you think so?” a pause, and then, “i think i could, too.” with some time, at least — slowing down is gradual lest it collide in shock. and she continues along a gentle laugh of her own, “though... i suppose it shouldn’t be like this all the time... we might get lazy.”
