It was rare that both Ethan and Rosemary had a day off of work, but since they both had some sick days they had to use, they had decided to take a long weekend and take Thursday and Friday off of work. Things had been a bit rocky between them lately, but Rosemary was hoping that a few days off of work would help them relax and get back on track. They had been talking about adopting a dog recently, and now seemed like the perfect time to go to the shelter and take a look around.

“You ready to go, babe?” Rosemary calls out as she exits their bedroom, slipping on her coat. “Where are you?” @ethan-kinney

It made Ethan antsy when he didn’t have work. His job was primarily the reason why didn’t commit to anything other than hookups for a long time prior to being with Rosemary again. Compromising wasn’t really the term he’d used for sacrificing some tome to be with Rosemary. He would do anything for her. Yet he did have a history of running away from his problems. The tension in their home was a problem and e was fully aware. He was avoiding the elephant in the room. But he knew he was going to have to face it soon, hopefully until they got their pup. The more he thought about the dog, the more he was excited. “Yep,” he called out, twisting the coffee travel cup closed tightly. He put both of them into his arm, “In the kitchen, coming to you.” Ethan walked up to his wife, pressing a kiss against her lips and handing her the coffee. “Let’s bounce,” he held her hand and lead her out into the car.

“True, and i’m well aware that you pretend you hate watching romcoms with me but secretly love it on the inside.” Emery laughed softly, crossing her arms in acknowledgment that she was right. Laughing more, she couldn’t help but smile wide and stick her tongue out at her brother. “You know you love me. You have to since we’re family and all.” She took his question to heart and nodded softly. “Yeah, I’ll be okay. You know I’m not going to ask you or Rosemary for any money. I’m trying to be the best adult I can be.”

“I hate rotcoms, they’re such bullshit. Not everything magically works out like in those movies. No I only like the one with that Channing guy,” he smiled and shook his head. “I tolerate your, sis. There’s a grand difference, don’t let it get to your head,” he pressed with a grin on his face. “Shut up. You know Rosemary and I would help in a second... and the best adult you can be is a stripper? What’s going to happen when you’re old and wrinkly and no one wants to hire you?” He added a joke so his sincere concern wouldn’t be completely overbearing. He loved his sister but their sentimental side only was used when it was something serious.

“You’re going to have to get a minivan.”

“I’m not even pregnant yet, E. Let that happen first.” Krysta teases, laughing softy. “Dom wants a big family though, so we’ll see.”

    “Sorry, sorry. Boundaries, understood,” he laughed. “What do you want?”

“I know, I know. I have been boring for the last few weeks. So tell me what’s the 411, little mama? What’s the hot goss? What did I miss?”

   “Oh, just that Rose is pregnant.”

“Soap operas? You wish. I’m more of a comedy girl, you know that.” Reacting to his poke, Emery glared at him and poked him back. “If you want me to show you more respect, just say so. Love on the other hand, that’s a different story.” She threw her hands on her hips and scuffed at what he said next. “I do, and it works like a charm. Over, and over, and over again.”

     “Oh, I’m well aware of your love for romcoms and anything comedy related,” he rolled his eyes acting as he was annoyed but the expression did not reach his eyes. He gagged again, yelling as he quickly put his hands hover his ears. “You’re such a pain in my ass..” Ethan shook his head, “Are you good with your rent this much?”

“It’s not as impressive as it sounds. Exactly. And plus, I know some of the guys so it seems fair for me to cheer them on. I got a job offering and I needed a change, so I decided to give Charleston a try. Well let’s hope the underdog wins. Do you have a favorite baseball team though? It’s the one night in a year where eating a plethora amount of candy is okay. They were the worst, but now I think I’m the bad neighbor.”

   “Oh yeah? How is Stanford not as impressive as it sounds? Enlighten me. Well, change is always good. I’m from Houston, Texas and I still not sure why exactly we were dragged out here. Giants from San Fran, yep. I doubt that, you don’t seem like the type to cause trouble.”

Ethan likes how Sarah texts, she doesn’t use texting language and usually that makes Ethan want to stop being so lazy when it comes to typing. 

How quickly my muse responds to your texts:

Ethan and Sarah usually have a great conversations going so Ethan tries his best to respond as quick as possible. 

How often our muses text:

Often. She’s his best friend. They talk about nonsense and serious stuff but Ethan prefers just to see his best friend, he gets too lazy at times and he likes seeing his friend’s reactions. 

How often our muses call:

They have small calls that last for a few minutes, usually calling about plans or just some things they wanted to tell each other as soon as it happens. It’s a bit difficult to during the day but Sarah is used to Ethan’s hours and knows when he’s busy and when he’s usually off during break. 

Does my muse purposefully miss calls from yours:

Like with Rosemary, he tries not but when he’s busy or driving or loving up Rosemary he’ll silent the call and tell himself he’ll call back later but that’s rare. They like to text each other before a call as a sign of warning or to ask if one another is busy.

We know Ethan loves everything about Rosemary, but he definitely believes his wife is a tease. Everytime he sees he gets a text from his wife, he smiles and shakes his head at how unbearable his wife is.

How quickly my muse responds to your texts:

Pretty quickly. He has a specific ‘ding’ tone for his wife’s messages. Ethan takes a couple of seconds to respond, if he were taking more than a couple of minutes to text Rose back it would be because he was currently busy at work.

How often our muses text:

They both have demanding jobs but Ethan likes to be talking to his wife even when he’s not there with her. They could be talking about nothing for hours and Ethan would be happy. She’s his best friend. 

How often our muses call:

Like one phone call at least per day, when they’re going home or on break. It’s sweet. 

Does my muse purposefully miss calls from yours:

The only scenario where he would delibaretly miss a call from Rosemary is when he’s in the middle of a meeting or an interrogating or driving. He would never do it if he were upset with each other.

“Wine is definitely going to be needed.” Rosemary laughs at the thought, leaning against Ethan’s chest. “If you insist on naming our dog after you, then ’m gonna call it Junior. Just sayin’.” She teases, leaning in for another kiss. “I love you. I hope you know that.”

    “If we get a girl, I’ll definitely think about negoitating a Rosemary Jr but that is as far I will stand my ground,” he smiled as she laughed, gladly obliging to the kiss his wife was sharing with him. “I know, I love you too.” He pressed a kiss to her cheek then a couple on her jaw then began to kiss down her neck. “So much”

Seeing him fake gag made her giggle under her breath. “That poor sucker will be lucky to look at my face all night since I am very good looking and definitely a keeper.”

    “Is that all you think my job is? Stop watching so much soap operas.. You know, usually younger siblings tend to show their older siblings a bit more respect,” he poked at her. “Is that what you say to every poor sucker you get in bed with?” He whistled, shaking his head.
