So I was listening to Epic: the Musical and I thought the song “Just A Man” would fit Muriel really well, with him just trying to stay alive and keep Asra safe but also grappling with, as he sees it, turning into a monster at the same time and I want to hug him all over again.

Jeez some of these details like Wendy's mom being dead and Waddles potentially dying are depressing.

The Dipper one especially. That recontextualizes so much about how him and Mabel acted around the end of the series.

No wonder Dip latched onto authority figures so much and wanted to stay with Ford. He was afraid that when he came home, his parents would be divorced.

But where Dipper looked for replacement parents in other adult figures in an attempt to find stability, Mabel clung to whatever stability/reliable family she already had, Dipper. Mable wasn't looking for replacement parents because Dipper essentially filled that role for her, a dependable, reliable family member who would always be there to get her out of trouble. But Mabel couldn't be that person for Dipper in return, so Dipper looked elsewhere for that stability and found it in Ford.

So when the possibility of Dipper not going home came up, Mabel panicked because she would be losing that stability and would return to fighting parents without anyone to depend on.

Mabel handing over the rift makes a lot more sense now. Endless Summer for her equals Endless Stability.

this is muriel and magne’s daughter, morgana frejya magnesdóttir. i swear, she’s nice, but she has a serious case of the permanent RBF. morgie, as she’s called by friends and family, is an excellent baker but she hates when people try to help her in the kitchen lmao. she was named after magne’s mother, she and muriel agreed on it since they found out they were having a daughter. she’s really curious about magic and how it can be mixed with her interest in baking and cooking, mazelinka LOVES this kid. she also picked up whittling after her father taught her, handcrafting is her deal.

second bunch of kids is julian and etheri’s son and daughter!

alyona “alya” mazelinka devorak, she/her, is the eldest sister and arguably the one that is the least similar to their parents. she’s pretty shy and awkward. her social skills are next to none, poor thing always seems to say the wrong thing at the wrong time. but she’s got such a gorgeous voice, and she shines on a stage. alya’s an excellent performer, that she 100% gets from julian. she’s mostly book smart, she loves hiding in the palace library for hours on end with aunt portia

dmitri pavel devorak is the younger brother, he’s quite a charmer and knows how to convince people with his silver tongue like no one else. dima has silver hair because of etheri, and his momma’s amber eyes 🥹 he’s the most extroverted of the pair and pretty protective of alya, and definitely gets a love for adventure and a penchant for trouble from julian. they definitely give etheri a headache.

i’m in the process of drawing my MCs’ children with the m6 so i can properly introduce you to them, and i’m starting with cora!

(it’s been years since i last colored with alcohol markers. last time was in middle school. i forgot how good it feels)

anyways here’s cora aisha alnazar, asra and etheri’s daughter. she/her and occasionally they/them, and as you can see, she’s a spitting image of asra, just with etheri’s softer jawline/cheekbones. she’s really cheeky and mischievous and never gave her parents a moment of silence and peace ever since she was born but overall a cutie and a sweet person she will drop everything to go help you if you need it but beware the pranks.

her first name means heart, because i love the meaningfulness of hearts in asra’s route, how important it is. and aisha is a homage to asra’s lovely mother obv!

Y'know what'd be morbidly funny? If another plague hit Vesuvia by the time MC and their chosen RO might have a family and the adults have to stay behind to deal with affairs

But obviously, with all diseases, elderly and children are the most vulnerable

So imagine - almost all the parents are sending their kids away in this scenario. Because Nadia is a great leader who's well-aware of the dangers of this plague

But imagine if your chosen RO is Muriel. Let's say you have kids.

How devastated would this man be if he had to send his kids away for their safety, in the same way that his parents did to him when he was young?

Man, that would be really fun to write

OKAY I LIKE THIS IDEA let me ramble abt my mcs in this situation.

i have no idea what would be of magne if she had to send morgana away. she’d do it in a heartbeat if it meant her daughter would be safe but at the same time,,, man she finally got a good life and a loving family after so long and now she has to deal with a ghost of her brother’s mistakes making her and muriel have to give up everything dear to them once again. hoo boy.

my girl vesper would go with her children i tell you nadia would rather die than let her beloved and their children stay amidst such a mess. and vesper wouldnt fight her on it either she goes wherever her babies go. even if she worries about nadia, she knows better than to argue. she trusts her wholeheartedly on her decisions.

as for vesper with portia, she’d desperately try and convince portia to flee with them. there’s not much to say about this scenario, but portia would be able to convince her that it’s best if they stay and let their children go, even if it hurts them as shit.

etheri and asra? OH BOY. it’s the fight that started this ALL OVER AGAIN. asra would probably be functioning on fight or flight mode because of the sheer TRAUMA. they’re adamant on sending etheri away with cora (their daughter). her staying is what led her to death. but etheri is a stubborn ass who wants to help and asra KNOWS she’s capable and hates being coddled + she has a teeeeeny tiny bit of a hero complex sometimes, but their fear is once again getting the best of them. ultimately, etheri convinces him that it’s best if they both stay as they’re skilled magicians. it absolutely does break them to send their daughter away for gods know how long. it reminds asra too much of their own childhood experiences, but the two kept contact with cora through her dreams every single day.

etheri and julian worked together against a plague before. they’re unbeatable. they have no doubts that their skills are much needed and that they will stay. letting dmitri and alyona go was extremely hard, though, and it did cross etheri’s mind once or twice to let them stay, to care for them where they can see them, but ultimately etheri knew it was best for them to go. ilya’s selfless enough to immediately agree to send them away; at least they would have somewhere to return to, and they’d have each other. they’d be together. their children’s return was something to look forward to for the couple, it made them work even harder.

i just had the funniest/sweetest idea.

vesper, or just really any of lucio’s lovers, had his daughter, but he never really bothered to get to know her or bond with her, it was pretty much just another responsibility he was running from.

fast forward to his resurrection. cut to a tiny but mighty six year old dragging the former count around by the hand, trying to teach him how to be good. he’d never admit — he’s complaining the whole way — but he’s growing attached to this kid. she actually believes in him. she’s innocent enough that she sees beyond his mistakes and thinks he can change and be better.
