This works for ME, but I've seen lots of shifters who were talking about the (almost) same "method".
Also, this method makes me shift everytime. And it's an awake method, but of course you can shape it yourself and make it an asleep one.
I'm someone who calls themself lazy, so I choose the easier way to shift. But just know that, it doesn't matter how "lazy" you are while shifting, the awareness is yours at the end of the day and we all know that we still manage to shift even with doubts, so being lazy shouldn't be a problem, should it?
I'm gonna explain it to you with a step by step tutorial.
Meditating is optional btw, some people seem to have a huge obsession with it and call it "a must" but to me, it doesn't really matter.
Actually no meditation pre-shift works better for me, because I always get tired when meditating and that causes me to be too sleepy to focus on shifting.
I. Obviously the first thing I do is to lay in a comfortable position, because I expect my body to go numb.
Depends on the mood, but I usually fall asleep on my sides so that's how I choose to lay.
II. I love to listen to some subliminals while shifting, ones who are not too loud but still help me focus and cancel the noises from outside.
I recommend carly shifts' subs, especially the "void" one.
III. I like to call myself a master in reaching the void state. There were days where it only took me like 7 minutes to get in it. (Yes, I've checked it.)
I don't know. Like fr, I don't know.
The only thing I know doing is concentrating on my breath, while letting my thoughts fade. Sometimes I also like to count each breath, helps me relax.
(Ps: the more you relax the more it's easier to get into that state.)
Another thing I do is, to watch the darkness behind my closed eyes. The lines and shapes my brain creates. If you know what I mean.
And when I finally stop thinking about anything and start feeling my head spinning, that's when I know I have entered the void state.
It's okay to not exactly know how it feels like when you haven't been there, even I don't know how I have to identify it sometimes.
When I have entered the void, I don't affirm rapidly. First I like to make sure that I'm really in it.
I let my head spin longer for a few minutes, I feel my body go more numb and become just awareness.
When you are actually in the void, you are supposed to not know where you are (for me). Because when I get deeper to the state, I lose every thought and feeling of my surroundings. I even remember asking "where am I?" a few times.
IV. When I'm pure consciousness, I know I'm ready to affirm.
I don't do robotic affirmations or repeat sentences fastly.
The most used one by me is "I have moved my awareness to my desired reality." Besides that I just use like three to four affimations.
But for me the key is to keep yourself calm, I repeat my words slowly and confident.
V. (In my opinion) the most important step.
When I have done all the things I feel like doing and know I'm almost there, I start being my dr self.
I'm talking about you pretending to be the desired you.
I love to think about the place where I want to wake up. Usually it's my dr bedroom. I don't think about the details, whether the ceiling is far or closer to me or the color of my desk. But I think about the position I'm laying in and where I'm laying in, in this case it's my dr bed.
I think about the door of my room and on which side the window is, to feel the energy, so that I have a little opinion about the location of myself.
Then I try to smell the scent of my room. If you have scripted an exact scent, go for it. Mine's usually either a soft scent like vanilla or a strong one like oranges (depends on the dr and my mood) because I feel like those are the ones my brain identifies and catches the most.
I just remind my brain how they smell like till I actually start smelling them.
At the same time I try to feel the bedsheets under me. Are they soft, warm, big..?
VI. The last part is to just open your eyes when you feel the change, or fall asleep.
But if you still can't feel like someting has changed, here's what I do:
Keep visualizing! Yes, create scenarios. And that's when the actual "be your dr self" part starts.
Keep thinking like them, feeling like them.
Make up something in your head, imagine how the next day will go when you wake up. -> My personal favorite.
Think about the person who's gonna wake you up in the morning, think about reaching to your clothes, feel the fabric, think about the outfit you're gonna wear, think about the people you're gonna meet, how you're gonna react when you see them, imagine eating lunch with you're s/o, imagine sharing your drink with them, remember how tight they hugged you the last time, remember how good you felt and how heavenly they smelled...
Do this until you either actually start feeling changes or fall asleep.
𑣲 And that's it, you are in your dr!
Hope this helped someone.
Always remember that shifting is super personal and not everything is gonna help you. Listen to your body, know what you want and need to shift.
Shifting is natural, it's not something you need to learn. The only thing you "need" is to be aware of it.
Shifting is up to you, you decide what you want and where you want to be (whenever you want to).
No method, no shifter, no subliminal is your guider. Yes, they may help in some ways but at the end it's you alone again, and you are the only one to know "how to do it".
You also should know that, since everyone has different experiences, never compare your journey with others. Some shift at their first try, some need more time.
I shifted for the first time just in 20 days of "trying", but eventually after giving up for 5 years.
See? It's different and personal for each shifter.
Don't give up just because you've been trying "for too long" or "something's wrong with you". Nothing's wrong with you and it doesn't matter if you've been trying for too long.
I don't want to be the person to say "you use a wrong method" (because there is no thing such as "doing something wrong" in shifting), but maybe, just maybe the method you try is not the one for you. Or maybe you are a little too harsh on yourself and push too hard.
Because the moment I stopped listening to others, and stopped copying methods but started actually listening to myself and found something that worked for me, I shifted.
And even after years of trying, the second you shift will make you forget about every failed attempt and every doubt you had. Every single second will be worth the long wait.
You are meant to shift, no matter how long it takes, you will make it!
