Flawless facade of indifference crumbled, Horn’s cheekbones were mildly painted in beautiful red hues, and she mirrored her Lord’s expression of conspicuous perplexity. Reality reeled back inside of her head at once and she eyed the faint trail of snow scattered on his cape warily, then down at her hand again, ludicrously confused. Though the puzzlement soon evaporated (as expected of the Seventeenth Progenitor), Horn did fail to comprehend her own action for a brief second there.

Scarcely did she ever at a loss for words, now she was. It took forever for the Progenitor to seek and gain the courage to speak again and tore the silence soon befell. “I.. My apologies, Lord Crowley. It was.. Out of.. Habits.” Doesn’t that sound oddly suspicious and somewhat wrong, Horn Skuld..

Let’s be honest. As of now, Horn still couldn’t quite grasp that foreign concept of people’s emotions, and its very fundamental mechanism. Lying be pointless, Horn was left in incomprehension of how quick, how rapid a man’s, or a woman’s, or a child’s (for that matter) emotion could be swayed and tampered and shifted so often.

And so obvious too.

She had heard the sweet sound of desperation beneath their voices, yet, unknown happiness soon overcame the dreadful sorrow; her own eyes had witnessed the crippling fear striken their mundane hearts, yet, hopefulness, and perhaps fearlessness soon replaced afterward.. How joy melted to hysteria in a fragment of a second, how sadness burnt into delight shortly,.. Horn still couldn’t understand. Perchance, she may never will.

It wasn’t planned but Crowley let himself get injured to give the other swordsman false hope before defeating them effortlessly, personally Crowley had forgotten the injury.

“It was a result of a sword attack but the curse wasn’t active, the injury should heal by itself soon. The treatment isn’t necessary, but the concern is nonetheless appreciated like always Horn.”

He explained with a small smile while speaking Crowley’s eyes carefully focused on Horn’s and sometimes glanced down at the other Progenitors hands - he didn’t mean to make her worry!

“Reckless.” Was her accusation. Though, Horn supposed whether she liked it or not, her Lord would always do as he pleased, unsurprisingly anyway. Thinned lips, previously pressed into a frown now slowly recoiled, breathing out a soft sigh as she lifted her gaze and almost glared at him. “You could have chosen a more cautious method to toy with your prey, my Lord.” 

Albeit, will he listen to her? Most unlikely.

Nao and her group had finished dealing with her part of the battlefied but given the noise in the next street there seemed to be a long fight ahead. “ Guys i go first, lets regroup at the main street okay.~” And with that she teleported herself a couple of times and appeared in the battlefield, right beside a vampire with a different attire and imediately jumped back upon noticing her mistake.

Her breath was sharp, and Horn’s lance took immediate action as it strikes forward, delivering Death. “My,” Yet, oddly, her nerves flinched briefly, fingers recoiled, her step halted, and the sharp edge of her weapon was pinned against the intruder’s forehead. Unmoving. She observed, lips curved upward in a mild surprise, “Who are you?”
