I received Mr Mercedes by Stephen King from my wife as a present and with everything going on, it sat and collected dust. What a mistake I’ve made. If I only would have read it then, I wouldn’t have read The Outsider first (the final book in the 4 book series). It doesn’t really matter much because they never went into detail besides spoiling the end of this story which, knowing there’s more than one book, doesn’t spoil much. That being said, this book follows Bill Hodge a retired detective with a few notable unsolved cases left. This focuses on the Mercedes killer. A twisted individual who stole a Mercedes and ran over and killed 8 people standing in line for a job fair. It’s a wild ride that has a fast pace and tells the story from both Bill Hodge and company and the killer. I’m true King fashion he manages to build connections between the characters and you. Even this killer who by all means is a pos. While The Outsider was a better book imo this one isn’t too far behind it and I’ve already started on Finders Keepers which is the second book. #bookreview #bookswitheugene #stephenking #horror #mrmercedes (at Wildwood, Florida) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bq3VYE9Ae5W/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=oxcggsl0xgtk
