Yugi and Jounouchi are best friends

One day Y & J run across a contest with a cool prize-- however only couples can compete. Not ones to turn down a fun game and that prize, they enter as a "couple" and end up winning.

Kaiba learns they entered the contest. In disbelief he lowkey stalks them-- how did he not know Jou' was seeing Muto??

He watches them closely, but due to Kaiba's own hang ups about intimacy/a skewed sense of what is normal for friends, he totally misreads their friendly hangouts as dates lmfao.

Later Kaiba spots Yugi and Anzu on a date. Like a DATE date. Like holding hands and kissing kind of date.

*gasp* YUGI MUTO YOU HARLOT!! Seto resolves to let Katsuya know IMMEDIATELY that his friend and boyfriend are TRASH

He presents his evidence and Katsuya is super confused... bro why are you stalking Yugi... creeping on him in the bushes while he's on a date... dude...

Seto insists he's not a creep and tries to bring focus back to the issue at hand-- Jounouchi your boyfriend is cheating on you with another friend!

But Katsuya is like... my boyfriend? Yugi is dating Anzu??? What are you talking ab--

Kaiba: -- but at the contest you entered as a couple??? Are you seriously not a thing??

Katsuya: have you been stalking BOTH of us?????

Kaiba: if you're not dating then why would you enter that contest?!

💜 We're excited to launch our very first fanfiction and fanart exchange dedicated to Violetshipping. This is a Special Event for this year, but nobody says it can't become tradition!

💜 All interpretations are welcome, including AUs and background or side pairings, as long as Violetshipping remains the core focus of the gift.

💜 To participate, you'll be asked to submit three freeform prompts along with a brief description of what you're comfortable creating in return. Assignments will be matched by a mod, and you'll receive one prompt to fulfill.

💜 Participants will have one month and two weeks to complete their fic or artwork. We require a minimum of 600 words for the fanfiction submissions, while art submissions must be a fully finished piece.

💜 This exchange's goal is joy! We really hope it will serve to create fanworks for the community and fill the Violetshipping tag as much as possible!

💜 Sign-ups open on January 25 (Jounouchi's birthday!) and close on February 8. Please, be sure to read through the rules and FAQs before signing up. We let four weeks of time for your prompts ideas to form.
