quick question to yall but. like.

Do transformers use stairs??? Has there ever been an instance in any canon where, on Cybertron or structures built by a Cybertronian, exists a flight of stairs? if so please share

Because stairs can make cool backgrounds and set pieces. But I'm thinking about it and I cannot think of anytime they use stairs. I've seen ramps. I've seen ladders. Lifts and elevators. But do they use stairs???? Maybe an escalator?????

Is it impractical because steps would have to accommodate for all bots of different size classes? Is it considered obsolete??

Genuinely I'm curious to see if it exists. Or maybe I wasn't paying attention PROBABLY

Hm idk entirely how this all plays down in this AU (if I can call it that?) in terms on if the factions are still in war with each other and all that jazz? So like hm maybe Stormsurge stays with Tailgate most of the time and then they go meet with Cyclonus whenever it's possible?

Not so sure how the Autobots would feel about them, like oh look Tailgate's sparkling is a flight frame? Which usually is a war-frame thing? Oh they're kind of large, huh? Hang on Tailgate where is the sire? What do you mean you are the sire? Fine then where's the carrier then??? Who is the carrier???

Stormsurge isn't really doing anything bad or getting in trouble at base, they just Look Like That and it spurs discussions.

It makes Tailgate upset, and he considers running away with Stormsurge. He talks about it with Cyclonus who suggests they find/make their own little hideout together some place.

Stormsurge doesn't end up becoming a Decepticon warrior with Team Chaar like Cyclonus intended, as Cyclonus seeing them and bonding with them ends up waffling on his own original thought.

Also I tried to make Stormsurge's eyes more like the TFA style, taking inspo from the jet-twins and it made them look very devious HAHA its not on purpose, but I'm sure Ratchet is doubting. I guess it helps fundament that "that thing is up to no good!" when Stormsurge isn't even doing anything.

Stormsurge gets the mask and visor as well from Tailgate in this universe, but the mask especially is usually worn when flying, and not usually otherwise.
