Have you ever seen the blue tree monitor (Varanus macraei)? Growing up to 3.6 ft (1.1 m) long, it can be found only on the Indonesian island of Batanta. This arboreal reptile spends most of its life in the trees, using its prehensile tail—which is nearly twice the length of its body—to assist with climbing. Fun fact: This species wasn’t scientifically described until 2001.

Anurognathus ammoni, a tiny and peculiar pterosaur from the Late Jurassic that breaks the mold of its giant relatives. This small, insect-eating pterosaur possessed a unique body plan that suggests a lifestyle akin to a modern-nightjar or bat, flitting through the ancient forests in pursuit of flying insects.

I firmly believe that all identities are relational and formed through partaking in certain sets of actions. I also think when you’re isolated it’s very easy to lose track of who You are. I think this is why so many lonely/isolated people end up obsessing over labels and label discourse. it’s one of the only processes of identity formation you can partake in by yourself, in your bedroom. this is not meant as a value judgement, just as an observation as someone who was that lonely label-obsessed kid in the past

You know how many of us joke that Pride month should be followed by Wrath? Well, this year I feel a deep, burning fury towards all who use transgender lives as political propaganda, bargaining chip or something to be debated and decided on without any of us in the room.
We are human beings. You cannot erase us.
