⟨ JACK GILINSKY. CIS MALE. HE / HIM. ⟩ though the mist might prevent some from seeing it, 𝐉𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐆𝐎𝐋𝐃𝐇𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐂𝐇 is actually a descendent of 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐈𝐃𝐎𝐍. it’s still a question of whether or not the 22 year old 𝐏𝐒𝐘𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐘 & 𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐘 𝐌𝐀𝐉𝐎𝐑 from 𝐒𝐀𝐆𝐔𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐘, 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐁𝐄𝐂, 𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐃𝐀 has taken after their godly parent completely, but the demigod is still known to be quite 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 & 𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐀𝐓𝐄.
𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒:
a jewish french-canadian, entering his junior year at eonia double majoring in kinesiology and psychology with hopes of becoming a professional rehab coach, a path inspired by his own struggle ( and continued struggle ) to physically and mentally recover from a serious attack & injury ; a son of poseidon with a niche ability of manipulating the phases of water especially ice, who also possesses a sixth sense when in physical contact water or ice ; plays defense for the eonia men’s ice hockey team and was named the captain this season ; a gentle jock most people would consider the mom friend of the group, though like many demigods he has experienced a deeply tragic loss and has plenty that he still keeps close to his chest.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘:
( tw for death & some mental instability — these will likely be mentioned in threads as well )
— jason was born jason cadoc chevalier in quebec, qc but that didn’t last all that long. his mother never talked much about his birth father just that he was out of the picture and he and his mother took back her maiden name of goldhirsch. jason never really missed his father, hadn’t been old enough to miss him and his mother was a rock and his idol.
— his mother was originally a marine biologist studying arctic whales ( specifically, belugas in the st. lawrence ), who later turned professor after jason was born. when he was nine, his mother met a new man and eventually they married and moved back to her hometown of saguenay where he would spend the latter part of his childhood growing up.
— his mother signed him up for hockey when he started to get too rambunctious for a single mother to handle, and he took to the ice like all good canadian parents hope their children will. hockey also became a critical bonding point with his stepfather who he still shares a positive relationship with, when he entered the picture. even from a young age, jason was always more comfortable on the ice than off it, seemingly never cold even when he touched it with his bare skin, always out on the lakes be it skating in the winter and swimming in the warmer months. there too was the tug he felt toward the fjord saguenay sat at the tip of : a feeling of comfort and yearning to follow it, though he was never quite able to explain it — though he did chase it on a number of occasions much to the dismay of his mother who’d had to pick him up at the docks when fishing boats would ultimately pick him out of the fjord with deep concern.
— he was eleven when the truth started to fully come out, most notably when he was skating on a frozen lake, the ice broke beneath him and he froze the entire lake solid in his panic. his mother found him still sitting on it, and sat him down for a talk after that. as far as earthshaking news went, he took it pretty well — if anything, it felt like a missing puzzle piece finally slotting into place. he wouldn’t meet his godly father until he was thirteen an out on his first quest, the first time he swam ( well, fell ) in the real ocean in nova scotia ( not the barest creeping arm that was the saguenay fjord ) and all that yearning finally made sense.
— and it was hockey that provided the perfect cover when he was eventually shipped off to camp vóreios at twelve, a canadian demigod camp disguised as an elite youth hockey program in the most remote reaches of northeast canada. it was there that he was officially claimed, on-ice after winning a match not long after his arrival. ( more information about the camp HERE ).
— though he was surrounded by plenty of water thanks to the large smattering of lakes that dotted northern canada, he realized just how much solace the saguenay fjord had given him — just a little piece of his father always close that he could always follow if he wanted. the town was very much land-locked. jason grew past that quickly enough, though ; ultimately stronger for it. it was at this camp he forged skills both survival, battle, and indeed on the ice because something like godly blood and monsters wasn’t going to keep canadians away from their prized past time.
— though powers and abilities were obviously banned during official play, it was undeniable that jason had incredible skill that couldn’t be attributed to just his godly blood ; even among his true peers, he was outstanding. the sport just fit jason well, somehow. ( you really should see demigod hockey with powers though... also guys... sword fighting on ice... ). a sector of the canadian hockey league in tandem with the camp worked to secure a handful of locations and teams open to accept demigods into their ranks, and when he heard there was a way to move forward into the professional leagues, jason jumped at it. so at sixteen, he was drafted to the rouyn-noranda huskies of the quebec major junior hockey league in the 2014 chl import draft.
— be it the remote base that was the huskies’ arena, the extra precautions made, or the burying of his scent under nearly two dozen other sweaty boys with plenty of reeking equipment, jason was able to play with a sense of normality ; save of course for a few monsters who sniffed around the arena and on the rare occasion, infiltrated the arena staff. he was able to dispatch them all easily. even better, that far fetched dream was slowly coming into the focus of reality, just beginning to feel possible. there he played for two years, establishing himself as a top-pair defenseman by his second season despite his young age. that season ( 2015-16 ) they won the regular season title in the qmjhl and went on to play for the memorial cup though ultimately they lost. that off-season, he was taken 14th overall by boston in the 2016 nhl entry draft. he returned to the huskies the season after being drafted to continue to develop.
— his third season with the huskies was off to a strong start. by february, he was already setting career highs in points for the season & was gaining ‘defensive maturity’, he’d only had to kill one trainer so far in the season, and the team was on pace for another regular season title. and jason had been lulled into a false sense of security. they were gearing up for a deep run in playoffs when disaster struck. on the bus for a set of away games, the ride started like any other until the attack. he’s still not sure what monsters ambushed the bus, just that it’d been far too many. frankly he doesn’t remember a whole lot from the attack itself which he’s been told is a good thing. the aftermath : oh, he certainly remembers that though. the result of the attack could only be described as carnage : too many dead, the few that lived critically injured despite jason’s very best efforts there was only so much he alone could do. the death toll from that day was twenty-one of his teammates and four of the coaches and staff, reported as a fatal and tragic accident but jason knows better than that and carries that guilt with him even now.
— news of the "accident” shook the hockey community, the huskies decimated and season obviously over. jason was seriously injured in the attack, first from the simple physics of the bus overturning and then in the subsequent battle as he tried to fend off as many as he could. by the time reinforcements arrived he’d nearly died from some combination of pain, exhaustion, and poison from almost fatal claw marks over his left hip and down his thigh he still bares the scars from. he was brought back to the demigod camp and treated, though the physical healing process was hampered despite ambrosia and nector due to the state of his mind his mind --- his wounds in the manner of the non-mortal tied to his mental health. and jason’s mind was even less lucky than his body, driven by the grief at the loss of so many teammates he’d come to see as BROTHERS and a fault he placed solely on himself and his selfishness for placing them in danger.
— he returned home to saguenay ( technically an hour and a half east to the small town of tadoussac where his mother and stepfather had moved after he left for the chl ) to heal. he remembers little about those months, even less than he does the attack, but he knows that was without a doubt the lowest point in his life. things would seem alright for a while but then the mental aspect reared up and proved to be much harder to overcome. first it was the nightmares, then it was the shaking in his hands even before he stepped foot on the ice, worst of all was the panic attack after he dropped the puck at iamgold arena on opening night ; the memories, the guilt, the pain… he couldn’t play again. how could he ??
— he retreated back into himself, picked up some menial and mind numbing minimum wage job at tim hortons if only to get his mind off things and him out of the house per his mother’s pushing. more push and pull with his mother finally came to a head and he conceded to therapy, which eventually did start to help. he went for walks in the cold, crisp dawn, swam in the comfort of the saguenay fjord and eventually thinking about hockey didn’t hurt so much. it was on one of these that he started to piece together a new path for himself, and that started with the college education he never got.
— it was a spur of the moment kinda thing, barely getting his college applications out in time. he was rejected by a few, accepted by more, though he ended up shredding most of him as they came. what was he thinking, putting himself in a position to get more innocent people killed ?? and then came the acceptance letter from eonia, a university made for demigods and even better, across an entire ocean where he could get away from the memories that still haunted him
— there was also a phone call from their men’s hockey coach. he eventually accepted his offer from eonia, though he said a pretty strongly worded no to the hockey team. but the thought had been put back into his head, and with his therapist urging him to face his fears and get back on the horse or some shit, jason did finally start seriously skating again. and he eventually found that beneath that compressed pain and guilt, he truly just missed the sport and even though his lifelong dream was hardly feasible anymore, he missed it in his life.
— eonia’s coach was persistent, though jason was hardly willing to make any commitment, he finally did take up the offer to come to the first week of pre-season practices before his freshmen year. they say a lot of things are like riding a bike, but for jason getting back into hockey and the game was just like tapping into those years and years old instinct and muscle memory. soon enough summer was ending, classes were starting, and jason goldhirsch had finally found a new team.
— and the rest, as they say, is history.
𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐂:
— jason watches the sun rise every day without fail unless he’s completely passed out. it’s both a reminder that each day isn’t given and a homage to those who no longer are around to see it rise.
— he doesn’t own an awful lot, and though he might try to pass it off as ‘ minimalism ’ the truth is there isn’t an awful lot in his room to personalize it ( see room post HERE ). he does have a few plants in his dorm though, because he likes the idea of taking care of something and it gives him a sense of control ( more on this later ).
— he also owns a black cat named kraken, a token from his healing process after the attack ; an emotional support animal who’d been critical in that first year after. she’s also quite fond of water, something jason can’t explain as she seems, by his account, a completely normal cat, but he’s entertained by it nonetheless. kraken’s emotional support aspect has waned a little as more time as passed, though jason still takes solace in her company. she’ll often perch on his shoulders while he does homework and sleeps with him at night. she still aids him through panic attacks and will wake him at night if she senses him in distress.
— his hands don’t shake as much as they used to, though now it’s usually a precursor to a panic attack. he’s tried to take that in stride as much as he can, in an attempt to prevent or mitigate them as much as possible.
— he’s fluent in quebois french as well as english given he spent his entire life in quebec. he’s virtually “accentless” in both languages having grown up speaking both, though you still might hear hints of a french canadian accent when he’s agitated. he is also jewish like his mother, and can speak halting yiddish. he shares fluency in greek as all greek demigods do as well. jason’s also picked up a fair amount of swiss german from his best friend sebastian — though his vocabulary might be largely composed of swears and insults : this is what he gets for learning a language from a hockey player.
— he doesn’t like coffee, but he drinks hot chocolate out of a tim hortons thermos for Clout.
— friendly with arctic whales, especially belugas that hang out at the mouth of the saguenay fjord as well as various rorqual whales that come in the summer to feed. misses them now in the warmer waters off greece.
— he acts like he’s impervious to the cold even though he isn’t. a bitch refuses to wear more than the hoodie. but to be fair he did grow up in sagueney. probably thinks athens is perpetually too hot. rip the peak fall aesthetic
— his skills in the kitchen are actually quite impressive. he can cook very well and enjoys cooking for his friends, which comes as a surprise to some.
— smells.... cold ?? think pine trees covered in snow on a foggy coast ??
— likely sails over the atlantic rather than flying because planes freak him out. thanks zeus. welcomes the challenge every fall and spring.
— jason likes to talk to the stingrays in the touch tank at the aquarium. they know the sound of his voice and have considered him a friend ever since he helped one his first year at the university. at times they're shockingly gossip-y about eonians ( but what happens in the aquarium stays in the aquarium... mostly ).
— he’s a bit claustrophobic. it's something he supposes surfaced in the aftermath of the attack, this extends to buses and planes and probably another reason he dislikes flying so much. he hates the feeling of being trapped or the sensation that he could be trapped — perhaps tied to the rising importance of control in his life. no one lock him in a closet, i think he'd freak out.
— astrology wise, he is a cancer ( JUNE 21st, summer solstice baby — technically on the gemini-cancer cusp, i guess ). but i read this one cancer analyzation thingy and it was like “ dislikes : strangers, criticism of mom, and revealing personal life ” and i just want to say that’s…. spot on.
— it’s not rare for people to misjudge who his godly parent is if they are unfamiliar with him. he specifically lacks the sea-green eyes typical of his siblings. the two most common wrong guesses are hermes ( for his athletic prowess ) and aphrodite ( for his looks and fluency in his native language of quebois french ).
— jason’s hockey stick has the ability to turn into a celestial bronze sword and then down into a celestial bronze bracelet ( visual and more info HERE ). it’d been gifted to him as similar ones were gifted to other demigod players upon his draft into the chl in hopes that it was provide him protection if he were ever caught on the ice or en route. of course that hadn’t been enough when it mattered, but jason still hangs onto the weapon and uses it as his main weapon. this also has given his hockey stick far superior strength properties meaning it doesn’t break as easily as mortal sticks but it otherwise shares any other physical properties. like riptide, it has the ability to reappear on his wrist if thrown a certain distance away but only when it is in sword or bracelet form — the children of hephaestus who helped create them noted that ability in hockey stick form would be an unfair advantage. the weapons are named after prominent landmarks in the towns they are drafted to, jason’s osisko after lac osisko that rouyn-noranda sits on.
— while he’s almost always in attendance at parties, it’s more to keep an eye on his friends than to really participate himself. it’s not uncommon for him to nurse the same one or two bottles of beer throughout the entire night. at the same time he’s not exactly a downer and definitely doesn’t look down on those who have fun ; he’ll just have his fun sober — ironically, this may tie into his need for control, despite the fact he knows that getting drunk could also maybe numb the pain.
— kinesiology ( the study of the mechanics of body movements ) & psychology ( the study of the mind and behavior ) : it seems like an unlikely combination of majors, but during the year and a half of re-calibrating his life and coming to the realization he needed a NEW dream, jason learned a few things ; one of them being that recovery is as much mental as it is physical. he chose these two majors in hopes of becoming a professional rehab coach someday. he hopes he can take his own struggle to return from injury physically and mentally and turn it into a source of empathy for him in the future.
— jason is a defenseman and was recently named the captain of the team for the upcoming season. at the height of his elite prospect status, he was a highly coveted offensive defenseman with incredible skating skills and a hockey IQ off the charts. he could drive a game from the blueline and break up the other team’s offensive plays before they even happened. post-attack jason is not quite the same player, though no one hardly expected him to be after his long hiatus. his agility and skating ability suffered the greatest, though he has slowly been working at getting that back over the past couple years and is getting to a reasonably comparable point. he’ll likely never get to the place he was. it’s also a huge issue of if his body could handle the fatigue and stress of a heavily athletic life ; it’s alright for now, but professional is almost certainly out of the question. his hockey iq bounced back the quickest, and in the wake of the attack, he’s seen himself step into more of a teaching and mentoring role, part of what makes him a good captain. his teammates respect him greatly, and not just because of what he’s been through. ( + bonus: eonia’s jerseys HERE )
— he’s been suspended twice in his hockey career at eonia, both times for using hydrokinesis during a game to prevent teammates from being critically injured.
— he realized he was bisexual when he was sixteen. this is a fact he’s kept mostly to himself in the years that followed, at first concerned with his future in the nhl, and then just because he’s had bigger things to worry about since then. it’s not exactly a secret now, though he’s not openly vocal about it. you might see some guys leaving his room occasionally or him getting chatted up by all sexes at parties, people can make of that whatever they want.
— jason has only seen poseidon a handful of times, all times when he was close to the ocean. his relationship with his godly parent is more on the positive side of neutral than the negative. he likes how he feels around him from the few interactions. he hasn’t seen poseidon in years though, not since the attack, but at eonia he is far closer to the ocean and in someways he feels a little closer to HOME in the process.
𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘:
— he’d always been one to know just what others needed — even before the attack. that life event maybe nudged a few more buried traits forward though, replacing the urge to use that knowledge for his own gain and instead use it to HELP others, perhaps in an attempt to pay penance for what he brought upon innocent lives. the past two years have seen jason grow into a full-fledged mom friend : always the most sober at parties, always the one with the bandaids, always the one leaving aspirin and water on his friends’ desks. no one’s really sure of everything he keeps in his backpack, but it does always seem that he has exactly what someone needs at exactly the right time. a running joke on the hockey team that they call him mom ?? probably alsdkjflaskdjf.
— it’s not really surprising jason was named captain of the team, either ( as long as you take izak møler, son of zeus out of the equation ). sure, he was an inspiring story, and sure, he was still pretty decent at hockey even with everything that happened, but the coaches saw more than just that when they gave him the C. it was the guy in the locker room with always the right thing to say second intermission still down two, the guy on the bench who knew how to get a rookie who deflected an own goal his confidence back, the guy who stayed late to help the backup goalie solve the problem with his blocker side save. captaincy isn’t all about scoring goals and fancy dekes : it’s about heart and moral fiber and leading by example ; there’s a reason it’s not always the best player on the team that gets the captaincy.
— since the attack, jason has become far more controlling. some people might take a life or death situation like that as a sign to live in the moment, but jason is not one of them. he still feels his life spun so far out of his control in that year and a half and never wants to experience that again. because of that he controls as much as he possibly can, from his appearance, to the way people perceive him, to the confines of his suite and dorm. as a result, he’s a neat freak, always having things meticulously organized. when he’s stressed he cleans and organizes — it can be his stuff, it can be a friend’s, it can be a complete stranger’s. deep down he knows there’s not much he could’ve done to prevent the attack, but that doesn’t stop him from at least trying to create the illusion he can control everything in his life.
— jason still vastly struggles with survivor’s guilt. he blames himself and his selfishness solely for the attack on the bus and there is no other way to cut it. the gravity of his loss, the empty spaces left by so many absent friends, didn’t hit all at once — it was gradual until it was a stifling weight he feels like he can’t bare some days. he’s still in therapy to deal with his internal thoughts, though it was originally a huge struggle to get him to go. besides his therapist, he doesn’t like to let many other people privy to his thoughts, especially those surrounding the attack. he won’t tell people what happened, though some may be aware from the news or just word of mouth.
— in love, jason is just as caring and protective as he is with his friends ( truly just “two” by sleeping at last to a T 😔😔😔 ), perhaps even to a high degree ; however, it’s been a long time since jason has given much attention to matters of the heart. some part of him is driven by that survivor’s guilt that still struggles with the idea of being happy, but he also strongly feels that he just isn’t ready to date or enter a relationship again. he is someone who values his friendships greatly and is more than content with that — and some no-strings-attached sex if it comes to it. falling in love, though, he’s starting to think that isn’t for him and honestly he has no interest in making an attempt to figure out if it is. some people see him as a bit of a player, but the truth is lesbians flock to him for protection.
— despite all these internal thoughts, jason still manages to present himself in a fairly positive manner. he’s good at pretending he’s fine, already been one to keep his true emotions close to his chest even before the attack. you know that overused quote : the saddest people smile the most… yeah 😔😔😔. he’ll smile, he’ll laugh, he’ll have fun and it all seems genuine enough and to a degree it is. but if you knew him before, you’d know it’s not quite the same. he still feels hollow, though he’d never admit it.
𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐒:
— HYDROKINESIS:
jason frankly has trouble with controlling water in its liquid state, something he has been working on since arriving at eonia, but likely still struggles vastly compared to his siblings. he can control smaller quantities of liquid water easily enough, but struggles as the volume of water increases. where he excels is at manipulating the phases of water, especially exothermic reactions where water is taken to a state of lower energy ( eg. vapor to liquid or liquid to solid or even vapor to solid ), and subsequent control & manipulation of water in its solid state. this is merely just a product of where he grew up and what he grew up doing — often freezing ponds and lakes for hockey all year round. he is more likely to fend off water related attacks by slowing the molecules to create ice than diverting the water completely. interesting enough, another limit of phase manipulation is the fact that excess energy has to go somewhere, typically directly into jason. this often comes off as heat energy, keeping his body running at a higher temperature that is average and allows him to survive colder climates. despite that, he has to be careful not to overexert himself when dropping elemental phases as he could literally pass out from heat exhaustion in addition to the physical exertion expending upon his body.
even moreso that controlling large volumes of water, jason has been practicing with compressing water. in its most compressed state, water acts as a solid even more fatal than steel and with enough velocity could seriously injure or with enough compression be used as a shield. this is far easier for him than again controlling large volumes. it may appear that he can just manifest water out of nowhere, but he is actually pulling water out of the air transitioning water vapor to liquid. therefore, it is easier for him in more humid climates than drier ones and often does not result in much water. this was something he first started to practice in the months after the attack out in the foggy and cold mornings along the saguenay fjord.
— WATER SENSITIVITY:
though perhaps not quite a power, another very important aspect of his ability is that jason is extremely in tune with is his general surroundings in or around water. he also gains strength from being in proximity to water. when he’s in water or on the ice, he feels more centered and more at peace with himself and gains a different perspective of the world with everything the water touches. it’s not uncommon to find him barefoot and just in underarmor or less for maximum physical contact lying on the ice before games or when he feels overwhelmed. he can’t quite explain it, but he has a much better idea of where things are when surrounded by water or on ice ( i’m thinking something almost reminiscent of toph using the earth to ‘see’ ).
there are obviously certain spatial restraints on this, but he is very comfortable with connecting to anything in a 60 m radius ( not surprisingly, the longest stretch end to end on a regulation hockey rink ). it is also easier for him to do this on ice than in liquid water because the molecules in ice are crystalline and neatly packed unlike those in liquid, and impossible for him to do so in air due to the extreme scatteredness of water vapor molecules. physical touch is necessary for this to work, so he actually doesn’t have it when he’s skating or playing ( unless he falls and touches the ice with bare skin on accident ), but he still reaps the benefits of feeling more comfortable and at ease and stronger with just the close proximity to the ice. at away rinks, it also allows him to identify potential problem spots and poor ice conditions beforehand.
— MISC: in addition to these two main abilities, jason has other minor reflexive powers typical of the children of poseidon, including the abilities of breathing underwater, speaking and understanding horses and marine life ( especially friendly with arctic whales ), accelerated healing of self in water ( especially saltwater ), and water impervibility if he chooses.
— like all demigods, jason is trained in the art of swordsmanship, exhibiting above average talents in it due to his natural athleticism and heightened reflexes. he would probably not be classified as elite by demigod standings, though he could hold his own for a relatively long time if he had to though that has less to do with pure skill than it does with using his environment around him to his advantage. there is also something to say he attended a demigod camp nearly year round, allowing for more time for him to hone his skills compared to the more typical model of summer only. like all children of poseidon, he’s also quite adapt at handing a trident.
𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄:
— 6′2″ ( 190 lbs ), a pretty strong build
— tan skin, dark brown hair, trimmed short on the sides and styled longer on top like SO, and dark eyes — he lacks the beautiful, light sea-green irises typical of his siblings. he’s not entirely sure how he feels about getting coped out of this typical hereditary trait, though at times he does find it helpful as it makes it difficult to identify his parentage on sight alone. he’ll sometimes joke it’s because colder waters are darker --- and sometimes you do have to admit his eyes have an uncanny resemblance to ocean depths, especially when he’s angry.
— style : jason is practically a walking cliche of male college athlete style. he tends to prioritize function and comfort over looks and boy does it show. in what he considers the pretty warm climate of greece in comparison to his northern quebec roots, his day-to-day look doesn’t fluctuate much : a never-ending revolving door of fitted t-shirts and athletic shorts that occasionally touch on the side of slightly too short and tight. in general, he doesn’t own that many clothes, and ones he does often look quite similar to each other. ( more details & pinterest HERE )
— jewelry : he wears a rectangular silver pendent on a chain almost always. it belonged to a particularly close friend & teammate he lost in the attack ( visual and more info HERE ). when not in sword or hockey stick form, his weapon is a bronze bracelet he wears on his left wrist.
— tattoos : inside left wrist — a monochromatic lit candle encircled with twenty-five dark circles to represent the twenty-five lives lost in the attack. back left shoulder — a beluga whale over his shoulder blade ; reminds him of his mother, the design based off one of the sketches in her old field notebooks.
— scars : still somewhat brutal scarring from clawmarks that start over his left hip and descend twisting down his leg, stopping about mid-thigh ( if you want a shitty diagram with placement HERE ) ; several small scars, most from glass and metal during the attack and of course other demigod related hazards.

WANTED CONNECTIONS
jason’s highly perceived connections — aka people he might immediately be associated with :
lyra : best friend, ( platonic ) soulmate — they're often seen together on the quad, all around eonia, and chatting together in the back of parties. the fact they're extremely physically affectionate with each other and lyra's tendency to call upon jason to chase away unwanted male attention has lead many of those unfamiliar with the duo ( or simply unwilling to believe lyra's lesbianism ) to believe they are a couple. lyra seeming full time residence at the poseidon house and tendency to leave at odd hours likely doesn't help. regardless, they are incredibly close friends with a strong bond. 11/10 perception.
sebastian : best friend, teammate, ( hockey ) soulmate — if jason isn't with lyra, then he's probably with sebastian. they've been teammates for almost three years but have known each other longer than that. jason's captaincy with sebastian as his alternative captain means they're often photographed and promo'd together for the hockey team making for a strong association with each other. but they're also often seen together outside practices and games, exhibiting the same uncanny ability to seemingly read each other's minds that they do on the ice. 11/10 perception.
izak : they’re both sons of the big three and that means they will always be associated with each other. what began as a chilly and competitive relationship has dissolved into something built on respect and a genuine like for each other’s company. they’re still competitive as ever and it’s not uncommon to see each other sparring in the training grounds. izak is one of jason’s favorite sparring partners. furthermore, izak also being on the hockey team offers another layer of association. 8/10 perception.
