We rarely get queer stories that allow the love between two people of the same gender to be the reward for personal growth and character development, not the thing that causes problems to begin with.Â
Ever since finishing The Raven King I wanted to read the whole series again, and I think only the very best books leave you with that feeling. Rereading The Raven Boys now is such a satisfying experience, because now I’m already in love with those characters from page 1, and it’s such a pleasure to discover all the little moments of foreshadowing.Â
I can’t believe I’ll spend five months being anxious about the fate of Adam’s dorm room.Â
u need a knitting blog then you'll have peaked
I really do. I'm a very passionate knitter actually. But one yet to figure out how to knit and read at the same time.
The Furthest Station was a great way to get back into the story after not reading a Peter Grant novel in a while, but I don’t think I’ll read those in between novels without having the next full novel at hand already. It made me fall in love with all the characters once again, but ultimately just left me wanting more without being as satisfying as a full novel. I’m glad I only started reading it when I had already bought Lies Sleeping. Can’t wait to read that one next.
Books make me happy, so I’ve made this blog to talk more about the books I love, to hopefully find some people who love the same books I do, and to encourage myself to read more. Let’s do this! I’ll try not to post any huge spoilers on here, especially not for books that are new, and I’ll try to give you my opinion on all the books I read. Always feel free to send me asks about anything.
I’m very new to this whole book thing on Tumblr, so please be kind!Â
