Valentine’s Day Festival

I“What do you mean there’s nothing lowfat here?“ Naomi asked, putting her hands on her hips, staring at the girl in the hideous paperwear behind the food counter. “Sorry ma’m. It’s all kind of … carnival food?” The girl said. Naomi rolled her eyes before looking over at Eva. “The nerve of these inbreads, right?“ She said before getting out her wallet and putting money to the lady behind the counter. “Two cotton candy’s then. Can you do that?” The girl nodded before running away.

“I mean, what is it with this stupid holiday anyway. I just have a feeling about more than 85 percent of these couples are gonna break up within the week. They already made it to Valentines Day and there’s no reason for them to keep seeing each other. I mean besides sex but there’s no need for labels.” Eventually they ended up getting their cotton candy. “Consider this my Valentine to you.“ She laughed before they started walking away. Naomi took a bite of the cotton candy.

“I mean, when is someone gonna tell these unfashionable losers that love just doesn’t exist. So they can see the picture and move on. This whole stupid holiday is gonna give me a cavity.”

Eva watched as her best friend berated some poor girl behind the counter about non-lowfat options, cackling like a madwoman at the spite. She could be so ruthless sometimes, but that’s what made them so close. “Oh yah, Nayo, the nerve of them for real?” as Naomi turned away, she mouthed sorry to the poor soul that received the butt end of her anger. To be fair though, they really should have something not drenched in fat and grease. This was 2019, after all.

After being handed cotton candy, she smiled at the brunette, putting her arm around her shoulder. “Happy Valentines Day you grumpy lady. I love you, and we don’t have to put labels on anything. We can take it slow..” she joked, “It’s a commercial holiday made to bring revenue to the candy and flowers industry. The sheeple just don’t accept that the archaic notion of love is dead. ” Eva shrugged, ripping the candy flossing off the stick, getting frustrated when a small fleck interwove itself into her scarf. “I mean,” the blonde swallowed the candy she’d been housing down faster than a burger on cheat day. “For most people yeah. There’s like a ten percent chance you meet someone and stay with them longer than ten years. Even then, it’s a crap shoot and kind of pointless. I’d rather have fun.” Laughing, she rubbed Naomi’s back. “You gonna be grumpy all night or are we gonna have fun? I wanna do the snowman competition and get some ice time in. I’ll even try and find you some low or non fat treats.”

“And then after maybe that you’ll actually let me try and get you laid instead of letting your lady parts collect cobwebs.” She mumbled, hooking her arm in Naomi’s pulling her towards a stand selling coffee. “This is diet approved, maybe it’ll keep our hearts warm”

I’m here, I’m here @theywanttobe-naomi I’m gonna see if they have funnel cake and maple treats. Maybe even Hot Toddys?
