I will never get sick of this song.
There are so many words that can be said of Easter. So many songs that have been sung about it, and yet all the words in the world are insufficient to encapsulate the wonder of what was accomplished on the cross by Jesus. Because if Him, we have complete, unobstructed access to God the Father. We are no longer strangers or far-off ones; we are sons and daughters--co-heirs with Christ. No longer must we strive to uphold the weight of the law on our shoulders, for we've now been granted the perfect righteousness of Christ, with which we can enter the throne room of God. We can forevermore walk in abundant hope, freedom, and victory. We are freed up to walk in all that Jesus had purchased for us on the cross. This opportunity is available to all who are thirsty, made possible by the humiliating and brutal death and glorious resurrection of Jesus. This is the Good News.
Blurry pic to commemorate the time I decided to take a walk and almost got blown away by the 60 mph winds. Happy Fri-yay! #windycity #ChicagoFarewellTour2016
But I love it, but I love itâ€ïž #happyvalentinesday
Just a balmy sunrise stroll along the lake this morning. And by balmy I mean 9 degrees. #ChicagoFarewellTour2016 #nofilter #vscocam #chiberia
One hard thing about having immigrant parents is that you don't necessarily get to grow up with your grandparents the way other people do. With the exception of my maternal grandmother who is under the care of my mom, I can count the total number of times I saw my other grandparents before they passed on one hand. Grandma Lois and Grandpa Stan filled the void so I could feel like a normal kid growing up in America. I still remember Grandpa coming to one of my soccer practices in Philomath when I was in middle school. As I sprinted across the field and leapt into his arms, amongst the confused stares of my coach and teammates he proudly declared "this here is my granddaughter!" What a joy it was to have dinner with Grandma last night in one of their favorite restaurants. I was reminded of the brevity of life and the necessity of making time for the ones you love while they're still on this side of glory. đ (at Ixtapa Mexican Restaurant)

âIn 2002, having spent more than three years in one residence for the first time in my life, I got called for jury duty. I show up on time, ready to serve. When we get to the voir dire, the lawyer says to me, âI see youâre an astrophysicist. Whatâs that?â I answer, âAstrophysics is the laws of physics, applied to the universeâthe Big Bang, black holes, that sort of thing.â Then he asks, âWhat do you teach at Princeton?â and I say, âI teach a class on the evaluation of evidence and the relative unreliability of eyewitness testimony.â Five minutes later, Iâm on the street. A few years later, jury duty again. The judge states that the defendant is charged with possession of 1,700 milligrams of cocaine. It was found on his body, he was arrested, and he is now on trial. This time, after the Q&A is over, the judge asks us whether there are any questions weâd like to ask the court, and I say, âYes, Your Honor. Why did you say he was in possession of 1,700 milligrams of cocaine? That equals 1.7 grams. The âthousandâ cancels with the âmilli-â and you get 1.7 grams, which is less than the weight of a dime.â Again Iâm out on the street.â
