NINE INCH NAILS:
"You've set something in motion Much greater than you've ever known Standing there in all your grand naivety About to reap what you have sown
Time will feed upon your weaknesses And soon you'll lose the will to care When you return to the place that you call home We will be there, we will be there
On hands and knees, we crawl You cannot stop us all Our blood will stay We will not go away On hands and knees, we crawl (hands and knees, we crawl) You cannot stop us all Our blood, our grace (our blood, our grace) Will never leave this place"
Dracula

Last thing I'll post about this today because I feel it captures what I've been trying to say.
A Tourette’s-related outburst of the N-word aired during the BAFTAs despite tape delay. Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo are owed an apolo
"With a tape delay, this moment could have been handled differently. The audio could have been muted in the broadcast. The segment could have been edited. A producer could have made a real-time call that prioritized harm reduction. Instead, the slur went out. And now it lives online — free to be clipped, circulated, divorced from explanation and used as shorthand outrage. Or worse, it can be used to spread hate.
That decision harmed in multiple ways.
It disrespected Jordan and Lindo, who were forced to absorb the ugliest word in Black history in front of a crowd and cameras. It exposed Davidson — and, by extension, the Tourette’s community — to a tidal wave of backlash rooted in misunderstanding. It handed bad-faith actors a weapon to swing at both Black viewers and disabled people."
The way I sat there screaming with the crowd.
In a rational world, if a person were innocent, one would think that they would be champing at the bit to testify and clear their name, and not engineer the biggest cover up ever known.
And, it turns out, when the redactions are eliminated, Donald Trump is in the Epstein Files ONE MILLION TIMES.
He wasn't just Epstein's friend and client. He was his partner in crime.
Wake the fuck up, America.
An idiot robin has built a nest on top of our garage door motor. The nest was constructed so the chain that drives the door is actually a part of the nest, and if we open or close the garage door, the whole thing is going to get torn apart. So I guess the garage door is staying open for as long as it takes for these eggs to hatch and these birds to leave the nest.
My wife has set up a camera to continuously monitor the situation.
Wife: Maybe we should set up some padding beneath where they'll fall out of the nest? Normally they fall onto grass, not concrete. Me: Seems like we're really coddling these birds. Wife: Well, yeah. Me: I just don't want you to get invested. Wife: Way, way too late for that. I'm all in.
So we're keeping the garage door open for a few weeks, I guess. Whenever I go to use the car, the robin flies away from the nest and watches me cautiously to see whether I'm going to kill her babies, and I can't help but find that a little bit rude of her.
Pictured here, the robin hopping into her nest to settle in for some egg warming.
Two of the three eggs have hatched, these are some ugly babies.
Feeding the babies!
All three are now hatched, here's more feeding time.
And here they are up close, in their resting state.
Apparently there are four. Surprise bird! No idea why they're laying like this, I assume they're just derps or scared of me.
Almost fully fledged, the nest is getting quite crowded. We've moved the cars out of the garage and set down some cushions from outdoor chairs to provide a landing pad for them. They'll be out of the nest within the next few days.
Just one left in the nest, no idea when he's going to get out, but maybe today, and that will be the last of robinposting (hopefully). Definitely some very different styles of leaving the nest.
Alright, that's the last of the robin babies out of the nest, which concludes the saga. I think I'll have just one more post where we press the button to close the garage door and see just how precariously positioned the nest actually was, but that will be later.
Curious.

From the producer of Worth the Wait:
"They gave me a list of white guys we could cast. If we could give one of the roles to them, we could get funded." The investors held the belief that, except for genres such as martial arts, Asian male characters are not bankable, with little appeal for Western audiences.
Hollywood, put more Asian men in romantic lead roles.

This is just anti-Asian racism.
They cast these things based on the desirability of the actors by general audiences, and while Asian Women can become romcom leads thanks for being fetishized by white males, the same doesn't happen with Asian men.
Although the silverlining is that thanks to the prominence of Doramas, white women are starting to fetishize Asian men as the perfect prince charming, so this scenario may change in the future.
But yeah, if you're a POC in Hollywood your chances of being employed in romcoms are entirely based on how much White people fetishize your race and culture.

so they basically confirmed they were snubbed because of misogyny and racism. got it.
