Buck IS a Dad.
Here’s my thoughts....yes Buck is a dad. It may not seem like it from the outset. But after everything he’s done for Eddie and Chris. I think we can least acknowledge that he’s earned the right to be referred to Chris’ unofficial co-dad. Or second dad.
After all it’s not uncommon for kids to have two dads these days amirite?
When Buddie becomes a canon we all need an episode called Buddie Begins, where they’ll go back to the off-screen moments like Buck meeting Chris for the first time, movie and game night, Buck meeting Abuela and many-many others. And episode should end with something extra like a proposal, for example.
Maybe even Eddie’s unconscious dream sequence?

And don't hate me but... Christopher getting mad at Buck. Because from a child psychology standpoint, it would be so incredibly meaningful because children generally only lash out at people like their parents because they know that they are safe to do so, because their parents will still love them unconditionally. So Christopher lashing out at Buck would show that subconsciously, he sees Buck as a parental figure who he trusts completely.

i’m trying to find a story on AO3 that I swear I read a few weeks ago but now i can’t find it and I’ve tried all sorts of different tags.
It’s focused on Buck and Christopher (I’m 99% sure Buddie is established) and Buck is watching Chris and Chris is sick and it gets worse so he takes Chris to the doctor and they run tests and say it could possibly be cancer so they send them to the hospital and the whole time Buck is trying to get in contact with Eddie but he’s not answering.

Has anyone else put it together that Eddie getting shot seems almost familiar? Hear me out but TK Strand also got shot in the chest in 911 Lonestar and not long after he and Carlos became #Tarlos....could this be the moment we need to see #Buddie be a real thing?
