History
âłÂ From a young age, itâs just been Evelyn and her absentee mother. Evelyn had to figure out ways to take care of herself due to her mother working all night, and when her mother wasnât gone, strange men roam in and out at odd hours. The girlâs disdain for her mother only grew with age. She didnât understand how the older woman couldnât support herself and her only child by doing something more safe or more respectable. Evelyn made sure that she had her studies done and tried to find ways of staying away from her momâs life, usually by going out with friends. She got into drama club and several other ones in high school. Drama just seemed to be her calling. Which is why, when trying to figure out what she wanted to do later on in life, the Big Apple called her name. New York City was the only option out there for her.
Two weeks after her graduation, Evelyn hopped on the first bus out of York. She barely even gave the woman who raised her a few days notice. There she managed to find a very cheap apartment. Her neighbors were up all night fighting, scratches against the wall that could only be the signs of rats and broken appliances were the least of her problems. Evelyn had a really hard time keeping up with rent, for the first year she went between jobs and was also trying to balance school. The second year was a little smoother, she had found a job as a waitress and had a nice even flow of money. At least until one of her coworkers accused her of stealing money out of the register. No one really believed it, and Evelyn was completely shocked that someone would cost her her job, but the managers had a no-tolerance policy about those things. Itâd been late at night when she was offered the job as an entertainer by a guy on her floor. Defeated, Evelyn gave into the idea of working at a local strip joint.
One night, she got a call from her mom. Telling Evelyn about how she was sorry about everything that had happened when she was younger. Evelyn didnât say anything, and even though she never actually forgave the woman, she started thinking about the life she was starting to lead. After a few weeks of contemplation, Evelyn decided that moving back to York to find work was the best idea. Even though she didnât want to come off as a failure, she knew that if she were to stay in New York City any longer, she wouldnât be someone she could recognize. Evelyn packed as much stuff as she needed and found herself back at a bus station only this time going back to her roots. When she got back, she stayed with her mom for a few weeks before finding her own place. Work again, wasnât very easy to come by. But somehow she made it work. Then, she was talking to a lady about Belvedere Manor and how there was always some form of work, even an acting gig. She applied, and ever since, sheâs been working at the Manor as an actress and maid.
Personality
âłÂ Evelyn has always been the type of girl who never really confided in anyone. Parts of her were always afraid that someone would end up telling other about what is going on in her life, and she hates people being in her business. She tries her hardest to make sure that people donât get too close. When that fails however, Evelyn has a way of knowing exactly how someone will react. She knows how people work, itâs part of being an actor. The girl has a good grasp on her emotions. Everything has to be under control at all times. If she doesnât have control, itâs exceedingly hard for her to feel comfortable around a person or in a specific area.
She loves playing with people, not because sheâs mean or even a bitch. She loves it because it allows for her to one keep people far away, and two, get a better grasp on how to act a certain way. Sometimes, she finds herself so wrapped up in her characters that she isnât sure how to stop being them. Evelyn tends to take on the personality of them for at least a day or two. She can however, change if she really needs to. When dealing with people she has a way of saying her words slowly and deliberately so that no one really knows what sheâs really getting at. At least, when dealing with personal thoughts.
When she was younger, she often lost herself in movies the way most people lost themselves in books. Evelyn found that movies had something about them that completely drew her in. Especially, silent movies, those were her favorites.
At age fifteen, Evelyn felt as though her whole world depended on finding out who her father was and why he left. She confronted her mother, who gave her very little information-the woman couldnât even utter his name without almost bursting into tears. Evelyn searched through her momâs records where she found a couple of pictures and his name. She looked all over for him, the internet, phone books, you name it. Finally she found a lead and tried to meet him. One glance at him however, she realized that he wasnât much better off than her mother was. She was frustrated that she had two dead-beat parents.
In New York, there was a chance of her joining an acting company. She received a callback and everything. However, the director told her that there wasnât any character he would want her for and that she wasnât what he wanted. She was so close and it had slipped through her fingers. It was that night that she found herself accepting the offer of her neighbor.
Character at Belvedere:
âł Kitty:Â As a cocktail waitress, Kitty knows the ins and outs of the speakeasy. As Cyâs main squeeze, Kitty will do anything to help advance her boyfriend in his chosen career path as a mobster.
Curtis Slater - Her relationship - if one was to even dare call it that - with him is a complicated one. She & him just canât see eye to eye on certain subjects and can never get  through a conversation without arguing about the simplest things. Daphne Moralas - They were once partners in crime. They were never seen apart and were always side-by-side. They once did everything together, until Evelyn left for college right after high school. When she returned, they just couldnât reconnect like how they once were, and that bothers Evelyn deeply.
Will Baker - Evelyn has grown close with him and they are often spotted running off into town together, or canoodling in the library. But, her true feelings for him arenât what they seem and if anything, she is just dragging him along for the ride.
Her faceclaim is Danneel Harris-Ackles and he is currently played by Paige in CST.
