Falling asleep has never been hard for you. Your head could be lying on any surface and you would be out like a light. It got to the point where friends and family started betting on where you would fall asleep when you would hang out. It was never on purpose, you weren’t bored around them, you were just constantly sleepy.
When you first started dating Seungcheol he was very alarmed when he would find you sleeping while out, especially when it could be in a crowded building and he wasn’t there. After the first few times he asked to talk to you about it, explaining how anxious it makes him feel that you are so vulnerable in places where anyone can do anything to you.
You completely understood how he felt, knowing that your friends and family also had this concern at first. So, you show him your list of rules that you have for when you’re out alone. Seungcheol looks it over for several minutes, memorizing it to heart. Once he was satisfied he leans in to press a kiss to your cheek and you smile at the relief written all over his face.
A few months go by and Seungcheol finally starts getting the hang of how to be there for you when going out. You would tug three times on whatever he was wearing and he would lay your head on his shoulder but recently you’ve been laying your head on his thighs.
The first time it happened Seungcheol surprised you with a cute picnic at your favorite park. You had gotten quite tired after finishing the food he had packed so you tug on his shirt sleeve three times. He tilts his head with a dazed smile patting his thigh for you to sleep on.
You were instantly hooked. His muscular, plush thighs were the most comfortable things you’d ever fallen asleep on and you’ve developed an unhealthy attachment towards them. It takes you seconds to doze off and it’s the best sleep every time. When you would have sleepovers you had to lay on his thigh first to fall asleep and then he would pull you up to his chest once he knew you were out.
One day you and a few friends were out at a new theme park that had just opened up. Seungcheol and some of his friends are meeting you here a little later so you and the girls had some time before they got here to gossip and catch up.
You went on a few rides before deciding to get a drink and some food. The weather was so chilly but you embraced it regardless, enjoying the change of seasons.
“I’m so surprised you haven’t started falling asleep yet.” Your friend voices after sipping her drink.
You look at her confused so she continues, “Usually you’d be getting tired by now but you haven’t mentioned needing a break yet. Have you finally fixed your sleep?” She teases nudging your foot with hers.
“Honestly I didn’t even notice that it had been that long. I did sleep a lot last night though, so maybe that's why?” You shrug.
As you were nearing the end of eating, two hands placed themselves on your shoulders making you jump a little. You look up seeing Seungcheol smiling, his beautiful dimples on display for you to poke. He kisses your forehead then takes the seat next to you throwing his arm on the back of your chair without a second thought.
Since you were seated outside, the breeze that started to pick up made you shiver slightly. Without stopping his conversation with your friends Seungcheol slides his jacket off putting it around you, resting a hand on your thigh after. You grab onto the zipper and close yourself fully into the warmth of his jacket then go back to paying attention to what everyone was talking about.
You were trying so hard to concentrate on what was going on but your brain was beginning to shut itself off. The smell of Seungcheol was surrounding you and the hand on your thigh melted your body into sleep. Subconsciously you reach over wrapping your hand around his pointer finger squeezing it three times. Seungcheols attention is on you immediately, eyes darting around your face to see your usual droopy eyes and furrowed brows.
“I brought a blanket from home. We can find a spot in the grass and lay down for a little.” He tells you softly.
You nod your head and then he excuses himself to go and get it. When he is fully out of your sight you turn back around to see everyone looking at you, “What?”
“Really? You haven’t been tired this whole time but the second your boyfriend gets here you can’t last ten minutes before getting sleepy. Also last time we hung out you didn’t nap once and we thought you were a clone or something. It’s like your body can’t relax anymore unless he’s there to take care of you.” She quips with a raised brow.
Everyone else nods along with her and you feel your cheeks getting hot. That can’t be true. There has to be times since dating Seungcheol you’ve fallen asleep without him with you. You try so hard to remember a recent time but you come up blank.
“Shut up” You mumble looking away from her and at the people screaming from atop the roller coasters.
Seungcheol returns and you waste no time getting up and hugging him tightly. He huffs out a laugh reciprocating the hug and leads you towards the patch of grass that a few people were already set up on. You watch with tired eyes as Seungcheol splays out the blanket and can’t help admiring him. You never thought in your life that you would find someone who would take care of you the way he does and you were positive that you could never live without him.
“Come on baby.” Seungcheol pats his thigh after sitting down.
He purposefully sits so when you lay your head down the sun now peaking from the clouds, wouldn’t bother you. You let out a sigh as you settle onto his lap and internally laugh when you begin falling asleep almost immediately. Seungcheol threads his fingers through your hair gently massaging your head pulling you deeper and deeper until you are out.

You didn’t know how long you’d been running for. All you knew was that you could not afford to stop – not when five men were swinging their swords to provide you with enough time to escape. You had gone much deeper into the forest, dry leaves crunching under your feet as you ran. Unfortunately, you were unable to see the web of roots jutting out from the ground due to the cover of the nighttime, which led you to trip and fall to your hands and knees. Ignoring the pain, you rushed to pick yourself back up. However, one look behind you and you knew you were too late – he had already caught up to you.
The man in front of you advanced slowly as he brandished his sword, the moonlight reflecting off it making it seem even more menacing.
Dammit. You were going to die.
General Jeon was right. You were, in fact, just a girl with no skills or knowledge regarding self defense and fighting. All you could do was run per Minghao’s orders, and clearly you were no good at that either. You should’ve never accepted General Choi’s mission in the first place.
Whimpering, you crawled backwards in a futile attempt to get away from the barbarian who had chased after you. “Please,” you exhale shakily, “I am only a mapmaker. Killing me is of no use to you. Please!”
You feel the ground around you, desperately trying to grasp anything that could be a makeshift weapon. Coming into contact with a hefty rock, your fingers immediately curl around it and you hold it out in front of you. In a last ditch attempt at survival, you throw it towards the attacker with a weak cry. Your heart sinks when he dodges it easily with a small step to the side.
You’re hysterical now, heaving and choking as sobs wrack through your body. Your tears obstructed your vision, but you could make out his figure growing larger and larger as he stomped closer to you.
Please, you beg silently, Minghao, Junhui, Chan – anybody, please. Come save me.
The mercenary now stands right above you, his sinister smile making you sick. Accepting your fate, you squeeze your eyes shut as you brace yourself for death by his hand. You hear the swing of a sword, but the pain never comes. Instead, it is followed by two thuds, one quieter than the other.
Opening your eyes slowly, your blood runs cold at the sight that greets you. General Jeon stands ahead of you, and at his feet lies the body of your assailant whose head is no longer attached to his body. You gasp in equal parts shock and fear, unable to take your eyes off his severed head.
“Get up.” General Jeon hisses, irritation drawn all over his face as he shoots you a withering glare. “We risk our lives fighting for you, and here you are laying pathetically on the floor. As if you were not useless enough already.”
Perhaps it’s the adrenaline from a near-death experience that allows anger to overcome your exhaustion. You stand, rage bubbling up inside you from his harsh words.
“You’re too cruel, general. I did not ask for any of this. Being sought out by General Choi, going into enemy territory, traveling with you and General Kwon’s men – none of it. Especially not your disrespect.” You fume and take pleasure in the way his eyes widen in silent fury. “I am grateful you appeared before that man could take my life, but remember that that is what you are here to do: protect me. Do your job, and I shall do mine. The sooner I am to be done, the sooner we will be able to return to our base.”
“Why, you little brat–” The cat-eyed general cuts himself off as he takes hold of your collar, pulling you close to him. “I should’ve let you die when I had the chance.” He seethes, hot breath fanning your face.
You stare back at him defiantly, too prideful to admit that you were filled with fear. His gaze is intense and does a splendid job at conveying just how much hatred he harbors towards you.
“General.” A voice interrupts from a couple feet away and Wonwoo’s head whips around toward the sound. You exhale in relief as Minghao comes into view. “The rest of the men have been dealt with. We should move ahead when we have the chance.”
Huffing angrily, the general turns back to you. He manages to let you go, shoving you backwards in the process. The force of the shove sends you stumbling back and you fall once again. Wonwoo couldn’t seem to care less as he walks away from you and Minghao and deeper into the forest in search of the other men who had come on this expedition with you.
Minghao approaches you, crouching down to your level. “Are you alright?” He asks, straightening out your collar that had been left wrinkled from General Jeon’s harsh grip on it.
“Splendid.” You mutter in response, fatigued now that the whole ordeal was over. “I feel like death.”
“You look like it, too.” Officer Xu chuckles as he straightens up and holds out his hand toward you. “Up, now. We must get going if we do not want to be ambushed a second time.”
Gratefully, you grab his hand and he pulls you off the ground. You walk alongside him in silence, and you’re grateful he doesn’t bring up what just happened between you and the general. Soon enough, you spot the rest of General Kwon’s men as well as General Jeon, who is staring off into the distance with his arms crossed firmly over his chest. General Kwon takes note of you and Minghao’s arrival and picks up what is left of his belongings off the floor.
“Let us go.” He says solemnly, clearly displeased that he was not cautious enough and had been outsmarted by enemy forces.
You offer a curt nod and follow the general as he walks ahead, Minghao to your left and Chan to your right. Glancing behind you, you see General Jeon trudge along. Still aggravated by his previous words, you quickly face forward and speed up in an attempt to put some distance between the two of you.

mingyu then clearly said "i really, really hate it" (his exact words are "정말 정말 싫긴했어 솔직히" to translate word per word "really, really, [i] hated [it], honestly")
I think for me the black hair is just more natural and like yeah he’s just some dude and i love that. As much as i love idols with coloured hair seeing them with natural colours makes them 100% prettier to me
Also sure i’m ok with whatever, you can go for snowy which i use on both of my blogs or just my name tbh, whatever you like better 🥰
