Gender Is - A Poem/Soliloquy
This is inspired by Color is again, a soliloquy on being colourblind that deeply resonated with me as someone who is also colourblind. I've posted this on other things, such as my website. But I wanted to share it here. I am quite nervous as it is my first ever attempt at poetry of any kind. But it does feels right to me, and that is what matters.
I’d dedicate this to my younger self, the little girl that was too afraid to be herself. As well as any trans people (or anyone else) that may relate to this at all.
Without further ado, here is my take on my journey, with my gender identity as a soliloquy.
(Content Warning: I do use a couple of slurs, this is me quotting things I was called growing up. I also apologise if anything offends. This is purely from my heart and how I feel, nothing more.)
