Random Ninjago Headcanons

Lloyd

Talks to himself, like a lot.

Fiddles with stuff in his hand when he talks to people

When he forgets a word in a sentence, he replaces it with a random sound and keeps going like nothing happened.

Misty (OC)

If she's the only one home, she dances around the kitchen listening to music.

Has very expressive facial expressions.

Stares off into space a lot

Kai

Will heat up the other ninjas food if it gets cold (using his powers). There's a 60% it'll be burnt beyond belief, though.

Will occasionally still do some blacksmithing when he has time

Had to change hair gel once because the one he was using was flammable

Jay

Wears mismatched socks

Has tried charging his phone using his powers (Pixal had to fix his phone)

If he's being lazy, he will use his powers to turn off the lights (he's gotten better at it after practice)

Cole

If his hands are full when carrying items, he will use his mouth to carry another item.

May not know how to comfort the best, but will always bring the upset person a sweet treat.

Spends a lot of time in nature. Still goes rock climbing occasionally

Nya

Will still wear red sometimes, even if her ninja color is teal

Absolutely still "bullies/tease" her brother

Somehow always late, even if she's gotten up early.

Zane

Will drop what he's doing if one of his friends needs help

Buys birdseed so he can feed the birds in the winter

He does his best to always wear warm sweaters in the winter. So as not to make the others cold on accident.

Random Ninjago Headcanons

Headcanons for Ninjas having an in-universe fandom community. (Skybound level popularity) Halloween Costumes based on them, Merch, fan-made edits, etc.

Lloyd

It took Lloyd a minute to get used to being in the spotlight. He didn't like it that much. But tried his best to use the popularity for good. Sponsoring important community events, etc. As for social media, he does have an account. Two, actually, the first is a public account. He uses it to sponsor important Ninjago events and outreach projects. The second is a personal account (Private). He only has friends and family on the account. Mostly posts photos that are close to his heart.

Misty (OC)

Misty is heavily invested in the fandom online. She has a secret edit account. Where she makes edits to her teammates. She also loves to read fanfictions and headcanons that people have made of her and the team. She has a social media account that is public. She likes to use it mostly to promote nonprofit groups in Ninjago. And often posts photos about her and the team.

Kai

Kai has made the most of his spotlight. Brand deals, sponsors, talk shows, the works. He's even published a book about his life before being a Ninja. (Best sellers list too) Kai's social media is always active; he posts a lot. He always does his best to answer comments. He genuinely is a good influence online, though. Always promotes a good message, especially for his younger fans. Although he is still known as a hothead in the media.

Cole

Cole didn't care much for the newfound spotlight. If anything, he found it a bit annoying. Now he couldn't walk to his favorite sweet shop in peace. Eventually, he found himself retreating more into nature to find his peace again. Cole does have a social media account. It's private, and he only has family and friends on it. Although it's mostly unused and dead. He occasionally uses it to comment on his friend's posts.

Jay

Jay used his spotlight to stretch his "wings." He would go on the occasional talk show and late-night show. He used it to try and get known as a comedian. His and Nya's relationship is often in the media. They're known as Ninjago's most electrifying couple. Jay has a social media account; it's public. He's posts are all pictures of him and Nya, and the other Ninja. Sometimes of his inventions too.

Nya

Nya used the spotlight to try and promote Sea wellness and other important causes. She even hosted classes on women's self-defense. She's also very big on supporting and sponsoring programs that give opportunities to children. Her social media is public, but she mainly uses it to promote programs and projects. She does have at least a couple of photos of her and Jay. Also, the other Ninja, but for the most part, she likes to keep her personal life private.

Zane

Zane also didn't really take to the spotlight much. He does occasionally like to promote important programs for Ninjao. Such as City clean up. And wildlife conservation programs. His social media is public, and all of his posts are pictures of himself and Pixal, and Nature photos.

Ninjago Random Headcanons

About Ninjago City (Before The Merge)

Ninjago City has a law that children, once they reach 16. Must be enrolled in programs that teach them basic emergency safety (in case of attacks)

Many public buildings have a room designed in case of an instance of an attack on the city.

The City actually has a bad reputation due to the number of attacks. (And has seen a decrease in visitors from surrounding towns)

The City still holds the occasional festival, but the number of them has decreased over time.

Even still, the Cities' communities do their best to show the city in the best light.

Despite all the hardship, Ninjago City is seen as the City with the most community effort.

Ninjago and Their Pokémon Team

Not counting Legendary Pokémon. I tried to do something different than their elemental powers.

Lloyd

Jangmo-o (Given to Lloyd from Wu after he joined the Ninja. It's acted as his companion throughout his journey.

Kai

Honedge (Found the Pokémon during his time taking care of his family's blacksmith shop. It helps him train when the others aren't around.)

Cole

Larvitar (Found the injured Pokémon while rock climbing. Afterward, it became his loyal companion)

Jay

Beldum (Mother and Father gifted Jay Beldum. As it was originally Father's Pokémon)

Nya

Feebas (A fish Nya found in a koi pond, near the blacksmith's shop. Be friended it and brought it with her. )

Zane

Galarian Farfetch'd (Zane found it while visiting a neighboring village.)

Ralts (Given to Misty by Wu to help her learn to control her emotions)

Ninjago Random Headcanons

Lloyd talks to inanimate objects. (If an object falls, he picks it up, places it back upright, tells it to stay)

Jay used just if not the same amount of hair gel as Kai in the first two seasons. He gave up because it became too much of a hassle to buy more. Embracing his natural hair.

Cole has made a tier list of the restaurants in Ninjago. The Ninja do, in fact, consult it when they are deciding to pick up takeout.

Kai was banned from being the one to cook for a few weeks after. setting the toaster on fire. (He had to ask the others to make toast or Pop-Tarts)

Zane makes snowcones and ice cream for the other Ninja during the summer. He sometimes makes it for the surrounding villages, too, if the Ninja have the time.

Nya tries to make time to visit the ocean at least once a month. She still tries to see if she can speak or connect to Nyad again. Although she hasn't heard from her since unmerging with the sea.

Pixal, in her downtime, likes to take part in and improve her older inventions. Sometimes the Ninja brings her things to improve. They run better as new afterward.

Random Ninjago Headcanons

Zane and Cole both took cooking classes, without telling the other Ninja. They didn't even tell each other and were shocked when they saw each other in class. (They both kept it secret from the others so they could bond together over cooking)

Jay and Lloyd still go to the comic book store often with each other. They will also attend the occasional convention if they have the time.

Jay goes to Kai for advice when he upsets Nya. (Results may vary)

Pixal and Zane took a pottery class together. The Monastery holds a lot of the pottery that they both made.

Ninjago Headcanons (What Tarot Card)

Headcannoning what Tarot Cards the Ninjago characters would be represented as. I frequently read tarot for my friends and others and thought this would be a fun idea.

Explaining Uprights and Reversed Cards

When a card is upright, its energy is free to manifest. Its qualities are available and active. When a card is reversed, its energy is not fully developed. It may be in its early stages, or losing power.

Some card meanings are better or seen as more healthy when they are reversed.

Lloyd (The Fool and The World)

Lloyd, while he was younger, would line up with the Fool card. The beginning of his journey and character progression.

 The Fool represents new beginnings, having faith in the future, being inexperienced, not knowing what to expect, having beginner's luck, improvisation, and believing in the universe.

Reversed card (keywords): Chaos, Folly, Lack of direction, Naivety, Poor judgement, Stupidity

Upright card (keywords): Beginnings, Innocence, Leap of faith, Originality, Spontaneity

Toward the end of his development, he would achieve being the World. His journey finally reached a point of "mastery"

The World represents an ending to a cycle of life, a pause in life before the next big cycle begins with the fool. It is an indicator of a major and inexorable change, of tectonic breadth.

Random Ninjago Headcanons

Just some Random Ninjago Headcanons

(Before the Merge)

Spoilers for Everything Before Dragons Rising

After Nya Came Back from merging with the Sea, she started a Sea Life and Sea Wellness conservation group. (Ninjago's Seas had never been cleaner. )

The Original Police Chief tried running for Mayor of Ninjago City. However, the current Mayor rigged the votes to ensure his own victory.

Kai once sponsored a dating app on his social media. (It blew up within the first few days) He had to delete his profile because it caused the site to crash. Due to the number of matches he got.

Ninjago City often has youth festivals for younger generations to learn about Ninjago's history. (At least one of the Ninja, when they're free, does their best to attend)

The Ninja Team is labeled under Public Services. (They receive money and their "pay" through taxes) But that was only really after Season 5. Since it would explain why they were tight on money and cash.

Zane volunteers his time and sponsors bird rehabilitation centers in memory of his falcon. (The Falcon, sadly, eventually stopped working between seasons 7 and 8. When he has the time, he tries to get it up and running again. )

Ninjago City (Headcanons)

Headcanons about the City of Ninjago. Pre Merge

Some of the police officers on the force are volunteers. Because the Mayor said they needed more manpower.

The City has memorials dedicated to those lost in the attacks on the city.

They installed more fire hydrants around the city than usual.

After every big attack, the city adds a new feature to try to prepare better.

They have panic shelters and bunkers installed in the city after the first attack. (They are not as well managed as you would think.)

It is expensive to keep fixing parts of the city. Some parts have just been left in rubble or ruins if considered not "important" enough to fix.

Small volunteer groups have cropped up to try to rebuild small businesses or other buildings the community finds important. (One of the biggest groups is called "Brick by Brick")

Ninjago City (Headcanons)

Before the Merge.

The City has Weapon Shops (They started popping up after the repeated invasions in the City)

Rent has steadily gotten lower and lower (Again, due to the repeated attacks on the city)

The City has a curfew for those under 17, unless supervised by an adult.

The city has a volunteer group that tries and help with rebuilding after attacks.

Due to budget cuts, sadly, some buildings are never repaired and are left in ruins.

Despite it being a big city, there are plenty of parks and public spaces dedicated to nature.

The City is actually pretty clean in most populated areas.

Monastery (Ninjago) Headcanons) {The Pilot and Season I}

My headcanons about the Monastery in Ninjago.

The Original Monastery (Pilot-Season 1)

It could get a bit drafty during the windy season in Ninjago. The number of sliding doors that got stuck while being opened was numerous. The creaky floorboards and the pipes seemed to be crying out to be put out of their misery could be heard throughout the building. The summers were somewhat manageable. As long as you had enough windows open. But the winters were the worst. The building had absolutely no installation. And during the rainy season, sometimes water would drip in through the roof.

Ninjago Random Headcanons

Lloyd

The tea stunted Lloyd's natural growth. He probably would have been taller if he had gotten to grown up naturally

His eyes only turned green after he started awakening and using his Green Ninja powers.

His eye glow in the dark (Yes, it scared the others the first time they saw it)

He never grew out of his sweet tooth and stashes candy in his room.

Kai

Kai almost always responds to comments on his social media page. He has such a good track record. The others will sometimes just message him using his comment section.

He gatekeeps the brand of hair gel he uses (He's taking it to his grave)

He has to keep a fire extinguisher in his room after several incidents and close calls of him accidentally setting something on fire.

Kai knows how to sew and is actually a really good tailor, as he fixed a lot of his and Nya's clothes when they were younger.

Cole

Cole sings in the shower

Offers to do the others chores in exchange for their desserts

Definitely had a punk phase when he was younger

when he was younger got his nose broken in a fist fight.

Jay

Jay has gotten into a fight over a game of Uno

Play Dungeons and Dragons when he was younger at the local game store

Was bullied when he was younger because of his family’s financial situation.

Dreamed of becoming a comedian when he was younger

Zane

Makes snow cones for the others when it’s hot

Gets annoyed that people think he can communicate with all electronics

Has read the most scrolls out of everyone on the team other than Wu.

Bakes when he’s stressed, during really back mission weeks the monastery always smells like sweets.

Nya

Occasionally teaches Swim classes at the community center

Genuinely does enjoy dressing up, but she just doesn’t get enough time too.

Doesn’t enjoy reading much due to having a short attention span

Once went viral online for her workout routine.

Is a very indoor person, she doesn’t care for the outdoors much
