Perhaps he was right. They've dealt with enough mummies and curses and books, maybe it was time just to take a break from adventuring. It had been her fault for raising Imhotep the first time by borrowing that book and reading from it. Then when she had opened the chest and unleashed the Nile, where her and Rick almost drowned.

Okay she has dealt with undead Mummies, having flashbacks of her previous life as a princess and had died and come back to life. But a T-Rex with no skin and was only bone, wagging its tail like a big puppy......was very awkward.
