“I- uh,” the boy eventually decided not to go on explaining he’s been searching for his notebook around her for the last ten minutes. He liked to avoid confrontation, even if it meant giving someone the upper hand. “Yes, thank you. It’s A5 so it’s good at hiding.”

Evelyn looked up at him and smiled softly, she wasn’t sure if he was okay or if he was just quiet for no reason but she nodded, “No problem, I m sure it won’t be that hard to find.” He smiled getting up from where she was sitting and looked around for a moment.

“You just seemed to be in your own little world, and I wasn’t sure how to get you out of it.” Mason replied, sending the girl a warming smile. “I was just on a little walk, and I happened to see you up here. I figured that you wouldn’t mind if I dropped by to say hi. So, here I am.”

Evelyn laughed a little, “Oh I was just learning some lines for this script I need for class.” She nodded looking at the guy smiling softly looking at him, “Oh that sounds nice. And of course not. How have you been Mason?”

Hyuk had been bored and all of his usual spots around campus were busy with people which wasn’t something he particularly enjoyed. He had never been one to stand out or be the centre of a social event so whenever he saw people he basically ran the other way. It was then that he remembered he had left one of his history textbooks on the rooftop and so he made his way over to one of the only quiet places this campus had. Upon arriving, he saw another sitting there with headphones on. Hyuk wouldn’t disturb her or even strike up a conversation yet she had her bag over his book. Tapping her shoulder, he raised an eyebrow. “My book,” he gestured with his head, his tone blunt. “Is under your bag.”

Evelyn sat there looking up at the guy she wanted to get back to her script but she was waiting to find out what the guy wanted and hearing his response she nodded, “Oops, I’m so sorry.” She said as she moved her bag and picked the book up and handed it to him, “Sorry, here you go. Do you come up her often then?” She stated looking at him biting her lip.

“Oh come on, food is a panacea for all of my wrong doings,” he said with a laugh. “And you can order whatever you want. We’ll go to the Diner and you’ll have more options.” He nudged her lightly. “Cut me some slack, it’s been a long year.” He got to his feet and held out his hand for her. “So..lunch?”

“Well since you’re offering food, it will fix some of your wrong doings but it doesn’t mend or let you off the hook just yet.” She stated as she looked over at him and smiled a little, she couldn’t lie, she did miss him but she didn’t know how much that was. “Okay the Diner sounds pretty great to me right now.” She smiled and laughed a little at his comment, “What do you mean it’s been a long year? How exactly has it been a long year for you, you’ve been away doing god knows what while I’ve been here learning and all.” She laughed a little and nodded as he held out her hand and she just took hold of it and got up, “Yeah lunch.”

Mason couldn’t help but smile when he saw a familiar figure up on the rooftop. Making his way towards her, he figures that it would be a nice time to say hi and see how his friend was doing. He tried calling her name, but quickly noticed that she seemed to be listening to music. After tapping on her shoulder, Mason smiled at her. “Oh sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you. I just saw you over here and thought that I would drop by and say hello.”

Evelyn looked over at the guy realizing who it was and she smiled softly looking at him and shock her head, “Oh don’t worry about it, just next time try and get my attention a different way. Well how did you know i was up here Mason? Oh and Hey.”

Casey bit his lip for a moment, “Either here, or in my office might be for the best.” he said. Both were closer then taking them back to his apartment, and Jamie was still at the age where he could dart off without thinking anything of it, so he’d rather not have him at the park when he wasn’t there to watch him. “Thank you so much for this. They love you too, and I know they’d make it a little difficult to teach.”

Evelyn looked at him and nodded, “Okay we’ll go to your office just so thy won’t distract you or your class.” She smiled looking over as she got the attention of the young boy Jamie, taking a hold of his hand she smiled looking down at him, “Of course no problem I have some spare time Well I love spending time with them.” She smiled and nodded “Yeah that is very true.”

Cristoph didn’t mean the frighten the girl, biting his lips at her sudden reaction. The boy had turned back from the doors of Ashworth, realising he had left his sketchbook on the Rooftops. The roof was surrounded by large cushioned patio furniture, not being the first time he had lost something between the cushions. As he searched the cushions, he realised he was sitting close to where the other girl was, asking for help. “Sorry! I didn’t mean to startle you, but have you seen a black sketchbook? I’ve looked absolutely everywhere for it..”

Evelyn was sitting there, she liked getting the chance to relax on the rooftop learning a script. She waned to delve into her character and get to know the story a lot more and there was no way she was going to be able to do that without reading it. Hearing the guy who had disturb er finally speak she nodded, “Oh right no worries. Just would have been nice to not just suddenly see you there. Did you have it up her? I mean I can have a quick look around her things slip down in places here.”

Evelyn had decided to read her script that her teacher had given her, she needed to learn the words, for some strange reasons she was given the lead female part in his script which meant she had a lot to learn. This led her to decided to go to the rooftops and just sit up there and read the scrip with her headphones on. Sitting there she put Ed Sheeran on and started to read her script. She wasn’t aware if anyone had come up but as soon as she felt someone tap her shoulder she jumped a little and took her headphones out, “Oh Hi, didn’t see you there, can I help you?”

“Evelyn, hi.” he said with a small smile as he spotted his student. “Would you mind?” he asked, hoping he wasn’t asking too much. “I really didn’t have much notice at all, or I might have been able to figure something out.” he explained.

Evelyn smiled up at Mr Williams although she knew him on a first name basis. “Of course, I love them anyway. Did you want me to keep them here, or take them to yours for now or your office or anywhere? I could try and take them to the park? Or anything.” Or we could stay here like I said.” She stated looking at him.

“No, Jamie! Come back here, look, you can play games on my phone while I feed Abigail, okay?” he said, moving to hold the bottle under his chin while he fished his phone out of his pocket and handed it to the three year old. Looking up he spotted someone nearby and sighed, “The baby-sitter is sick.” he explained, “What do you think the chances are of me managing to teach a class with them with me?”

Evelyn was walking down the hall, she had a free period so she was trying to find things to do. She walked past a class before hearing a voice she didn’t expect to hear so she smiled and walked in and nodded, “Well Mr Williams, that sucks  but I mean I don’t think you can. I mean I could try and help look after them while you teach your class.”

He could feel it, she’s still mad at him. He couldn’t blame her. He was shitty by the end of their ‘relationship’ and didn’t make an effort to end things nicely between them. Totally not a gentleman thing to do. His brows furrowed a little and he scoffed, “Yeah. I know. You need to deal with everything, that’s what people do all their life. Deal with things.” Tommy chuckled, looked at his lap for a little while before raising his head back up and distracted himself by keeping his eyes glued on the curtains of the auditorium. “It’ll be a blast because I never would’ve expected that I will be working with an ex of mine.” He grinned, being honest. Maybe a little mocking, but there really isn’t anything to lose in whatever awkward stage they’re stuck in right now.

Evelyn wasn’t sure what else to say to him, she didn’t ant to feel the way she did around him, but she couldn’t help if she remembered how things were with their relationship when whatever they had ended. She laughed “Yes we all deal with things, I didn’t make out that I was the only one having to deal with things.” She stated in a little bit of a huff and looked at him and nodded, “Oh so you think it’ll be a blast for your amusement of working with someone you once had a thing with? Well you know good for glad you will have fun whilst doing this.” She stated putting a hand through her hair, wasn’t really sure how to act, she didn’t plan on being this snappy but she had been able to avoid him for ages and now all of a sudden she had to work with him, it was like it was all bubbling up in her to let lose.

“Oh come on…I’m almost positive we texted. Are you mad at me?” He moved closer to her, a small smile on his face. “Come on, let me make it up to you, huh? I’ll take you out to lunch. Ho does that sound? I want to hear all about you making your dreams come true.”Javi wasn’t sure how much he actually cared but he felt a bit bad about blowing her off and wanted to make it right even if there was nothing more to it than that.

She laughed, “You didn’t text at all, I was deeply hurt.” She pulled a sad face and the good thing about acting it was almost convincing. “Not mad not really just hurt.” She continued pulling the sad face for a moment and then looked up at him. “A lunch huh? You want to take me to lunch? It doesn’t make up for how long you were gone but I guess it is a start.” She stated nodding looking at him.  She laughed, “Well I won’t be making them true until i graduate from University.” She nodded looking at him, she might have a few auditions booked and also trying to get her art into the local gallery was proving to be hard.

“You realize I’m not ‘a lot of people’ am I? I don’t talk to just anyone. Guess you can go ahead and call me desperate for talking with you.” Sawyer clutched his heart and feigned surprise. “Oh wow! Mason! Such an awesome dude!” Then dropped the act and smirked sarcastically.

“No you’re just a normal person like every one else here, you are not that amazing at all.” She said looking up at him, “You do realize you saying that doesn’t make any difference to me, considering he’s my friend he’s so much better to be around then you.”

“Do you think I’d be here available for conversations like this if I’m here with someone?” He asked, rolling his eyes. “Speaking of lost, you don’t seem like the type who gets asked to a dance.”

She laughed, “You realize a lot of people came with someone and they still talk to others, so I don’t know.” She looked at him and laughed, “Well for your information, i did come with someone, i cam with my friend Mason.”

“So he said, ‘Let’s go to the dance together’ and I was like, ‘cough cough, i’m sorry I’m going to be sick that day.’ Nonsense answer, I know. But he let it pass and probably thought we’re getting serious so he prepped his room for a Netflix & Chill. And I’m here enjoying my cup of coffee while waiting for my turn on the dance floor.”

“Yeah, if I want to be a professional composer, I always need to work my hardest. But I know that you understand what that is like, since acting is the same way.” Mason replied, knowing the girl would understand his determination. Both music and drama were too fields that were hard to get into professionally. “I am sure that you are going to do amazing things, Evelyn. You just need to believe in yourself.” He replied, giving the girl words of encouragement. “I’ve thought about going, what about you?”

She laughed, “Oh come on you are going to be a professional composer, you know that. Of course I do and acting is definitely the same, I want to be noticed for being different and i want to stand out which means i have to work harder.” She nodded, although Art was something she loved and she knew she would still pursue it, acting was something she loved ad she always loved the chance when she got to do something that wasn’t being herself. “I know I will and believing in myself is quite easy I just need to find a way to get there.” She nodded and smiled a little, “Yeah i have thought of going, actually there was something i needed to ask you.”
