laying tracks

Studio preparations were underway. Iolani was already recording for the new Cinnamon comeback and it was exciting to say the least. The beat was fun, not her typical style, but that didn’t matter. She could learn to like it and the rap she just wrote out a few hours earlier fit so well on the beat on the first try, something she struggled to do on pervious Cinnamon tracks.
While she should’ve headed back to the dorm and rested up, Iolani had plans. Set plans for the night, and she wasn’t breaking them either. A side project she was told she could pursue if it didn’t take away from her work time, Iolani carried her laptop in her arms as she barreled into the designated recording studio. It was the one the company allotted Iolani and Escape’s main vocalist Tae.
“Sorry I’m late, I was vibing too hard with our new track,” she explained. She neglected the respectful and polite bow.
Collapsing into a seat near the soundboard, she opened up the laptop, waiting for it to fully boot before she signed in and looked over to Tae. “What’s up?”
