Morgen "Alua" Delaney (main)

Morgen grew up in Rurikton where her mother worked as a maid for the Wi family. She was a very sickly child and often got left with the Wi manor's cook. As Morgen's magic grew stronger with age, her condition got worse. As a last resort her mother took her to Garenhoff, hoping the Wizard could help. She was eight when she entered the Tower.
At age fourteen, Alua fled the Tower and decided to travel around. She had zero comprehension of what was going on at the time along with a bit of a superiority complex. Seeing the Charr - Human war up close changed much of her world view. Alua returned to Divinity’s Reach two years later and got caught up in the centaur attack.
Reagan Callaghan
Ex-pirate | Necromancer | Durmand Priory
Reagan is a human orphan, presumably from Lion's Arch. She was picked up from the wreckage of a ship by a scavenger pirate Krew named: The Hummingbirds. With no memory of what happened or who she was (safe for a locket with her name on it), Captain Blikke and his wife and treasurer Plulla took her in.
When she turned sixteen, the Krew's hideout (and home), got raided by Vigil and Lionguard, who were following false intel. In an attempt to save her, the krew tied Reagan and then six year old Magnesius up and pretended they were captives. That day all of the Hummingbirds, save for two, died brutally.
Annabel "Juno" Løckhart
Noble | Necromancer | OoW
Anna grew up as the second daughter of the Løckhart family and was the only non mesmer. She was often neglected in favour of her sister. Anna initially took on the name 'Juno' (from her Cathan ancestor Hayase Iuno) to play with the kids she often saw outside the mansion. One of these kids was Marjory.
At age sixteen Anna ran away from home to travel around. She is cunning, but generally good natured. She returned home a year and something later when Shaemoor was attacked by centaurs. It was then that she heard her sister was missing.

Aváon is a rather strange Sylvari. She barely has no connection to the dream and often speaks of far off places and amazing feats of magic. She met Alua when the latter travelled through The Grove and was curious about the large amount of magic she felt. Often travelled back to the Grove to sit by - an identical - still sleeping Sylvari.
Ava is very excitable, friendly, energetic and tends to act first think later. She seems to have a lot of magic, but has no idea how to use it properly. Often told Alua everything would be clear once her sister awoke.
Nóava
Cycle of Dusk | ... | Durmand Priory
Nóava is Aváon's younger twin sister. She fell out of her pod at the same time as Ava, but truly awoke six months after her twin, in the middle of the Zhaitan campaign. Like Ava, she is...odd.
Both Nóava and Aváon used to be human...500 years ago. Due to an accident Ava passed away at age 23 and Noa couldn't accept it. She basically sacrificed a lot of people to bring her sister back, but the spell went both right and wrong.

I'm gonna say it, I do think that even the laziest person imaginable should have a roof over their head, food in their stomach, and access to healthcare
a lot of people are reblogging this saying that most "lazy" people are actually just disabled or that the concept of laziness itself is a product of our society's obsession with productivity. this is all true, but it is not my point.
even if someone WAS just lazy and simply didn't want to do anything but lie on the couch and watch tv, they should still have these things. it's irrelevant whether some people aren't actually lazy because everyone, including hypothetical lazy people, should have their basic needs met.
if we have the resources to do it, there is no defense of letting people die because they don't want to work, and much less because they can't.
I don't want lazy people to have basic necessities because they "actually" deserve them because they ARE working or CAN'T work. I want lazy people to have basic necessities because they are people, and we shouldn't leave them to die when we have the resources not to.
kind of crazy that the sun is the closest thing we have to an unholy seething vortex of magical energy, a pulsating orb that is periodically ripped by screaming flares that lash us with incredible ferocity from a hundred million miles away, and we're like mmm what a nice day! 😊
"I can't believe humans would hunt the thylacine to extinction, humans are fundamentally evil" Hey, did you know that extinction was long thought to be impossible, and within 50 years of humans realizing that extinction via overhunting was a possibility it practically stopped happening? Did you know that humans are so desperate to prevent more losses that they're funneling millions of collective hours and billions of euros into helping other species? Hours and euros that could be spent on humans, and species on whom humanity's own survival does not depend? Did you know that due to an accidental introduction of rats, the Lord Howe Island stick insect population was brought down to 24 individuals and now there are tens of thousands of them?
This bug. This bug that, to most humans, is utterly useless, relatively gross, and completely foreign. Humans saved it because humans do not want to cause another extinction ever again if they can avoid it.
i have a personality flaw that always positions me on the side of characters who are hiding everything and refuse to accept help. like do NOT confide in people. confiding in people is the enemy. REAL winners lie and lie and continue lying until they ruin every single thing theyve got going for them & didnt fix a single goddamn thing. keep digging grandpa youre almost there
