Blending marriage and work may be a challenge for some, but Dabs and Myla — collectively known as Dabs Myla (@dabsmyla) — make it look easy. The Australian graffiti and street artists, who are based in Los Angeles, have been making bright, bold pop art since they met in school some 12 years ago. “During our time at school we fell in love and straightaway started working together on projects and paintings,” Myla says. “After a few years, we found we loved working together so much more, so we made the decision to start solely working together under one name — and have been ever since.”
Dabs says in their 10 years as a couple, they have never spent a day apart. “We still really like each other, and are so happy to be around each other all day and night,” he says.
The duo collaborates at every stage of their projects, from start to finish. “Usually we will call out at the beginning what each person would like to paint: ‘Is it cool if I paint the boy, the cat character, the car, the television and the flowers?’” Dabs says.
In terms of daily inspiration, the two cite mid-century design, graffiti and the golden age of animation. “But we think our biggest inspiration is each other,” Dabs says. “We make our work together and for each other.”
Hey guys! I’m gonna be part of QPop’s ‘Unicats & Caticorns' Art Show! It’s on the 13th of February, and these are my pieces that will be in the show.

“Remember that you can be young once, but you can be immature forever” –Unknown
When you hear the word young, what comes in your mind? Immature right? It’s a matter of age, lack of experience, lack of knowledge, stiff appreciation in life, endless stupidity and recklessness. I want to make this specific and centred to one topic. Topic that we can all relate and you know what is that? It’s the thing that moves in mysterious ways.
As a human living and strolling casually on this earth you will realize that there are two important happenings in life. First the day that you were born, second the day you will find out why. Step by step from your very first cry and up to the last closing of your eyes. The infancy stage wherein you just represent the inner dynamo of humanity. The early childhood wherein you have in your mind is just to play. Middle childhood for wide imaginations, late childhood for ingenuity. And adolescence that said to be passionate according to Dr. Armstrong. For me they are considered generally a young people. We are young ones.
Young people has always this motto, You Only Live Once! I agree, because I applied it to myself. You have pens in your hand and it’s up to you on how you will fill the blank pages that God has given us. You have flip flops on your feet and it’s up to you where you will go, either on the right path or in the wrong path. You have brilliant minds and it’s up to you on how you will think. Think broad, think outside the box, or just trap yourself to what things existed in you. You have 639 muscles and 206 bones fused together to do adventures in life. Get bruises and wounds to those non-stop explorations and apply gastronomic including exotic foods until your stomach reacts. You can be stupid in school, ignore your parents advice, or have a futuristic mind and be serious in life. And you have this fist-size part of your body on the right side and it’s up to you if you will protect it, try to chase the reason why it beats so fast, or let someone crush it. Being young is the best stage! And it’s really up to you, yourself to make life to the fullest and find its truest sense. And these things are part of being young.
Scientifically speaking, it’s really not the fist-size thing which can make your tummy tied up in knots. It’s not the reason why your palms are sweating and it’s not the reason why you are deliriously happy one minute and anxious and desperate next. It’s the irresistible cocktail of chemicals, our brain entices that makes your heart race like in a 400-meter dash. But enough with those scientific explanations and be natural. It’s love that can make us happy to those young ones. The first time you feel it to someone, young love. Smiling like an idiot, doing stuffs to make him happy, and starring for about three minutes without uttering any words. And get hurt, crying out loud as if it is the end of the world, and make immature decisions.
But come to think of this. Is it just the young ones? Going back to the stage of life after adolescence we have adulthood, midlife, early adulthood, late adulthood. They can feel love also of course. Some of them build a fairy tale like love story, some of them just hide their feelings, some of them fight for it no matter what, some of them get hurt as if that harsh feeling can ruin their life. The heart crushing break-ups and throwing of engagement rings. The ones who go to bar and drink liquors wildly, the masochist who just accept every physical and emotional pain, the martyrs who suffer too much but still believes that someday there is this one person who will go with her all throughout, and the suicidal people, without knowing who have reach the last stage of life. See? They are all immature, we are all immature. Very childish in a way that they cry if they didn’t get what they want or got hurt by someone. They make reckless decisions and stupid things. We have to face that in love, all young are immature but not all immature are young!
How could this be love? If lust comes first?
The louder the silence the deeper the pain

Your eyes shine brighter than any stars
Your smile heals my thousand scars
With the world around us
Let us not make senseless time come to past
I will traverse the world with you
For my love for you is sweet and true
With lights coming down from heaven
I will love you until 777.

You're in love
You know you're in love when you get courageous enough to tell the truth especially when you believe its unspeakable.
Something that I made for Ed Sheeran’s 22nd birthday. I hate painting his hair, I swear to God, I was about to quit this painting because of his hair. I had fun playing with skin tones though.
Happy birthday, mayt!
Rebloggin my old work. Happy birthday Ed Sheeran!
AFRAID
It's normal for sure if a certain thing happened to you and made you feel bad you'll be afraid. More like trauma. In our childhood we used to play. Run over here, run over there. Shout random things with our playmates. And then suddenly we stumbled in a particular unexpected moment. We cried, there was a wound for sure and a blood. We got hurt and seek for help. But still when it healed, we will surely play again. Like now, broken hearted people is afraid of being hurt and to stumble with wrong people. It takes time to heal wounds, we need somebody to help us and time will come in God's perfect time. You'll be in love again.
I'll be by your side ~
